    Dip manicure
    Alli G.

Beautiful new salon off 144th and Maple! This area needed a salon like this- I cannot wait to try some other services! For my first visit, I needed a dip manicure. Luna did a great job, the shape is perfect and there were a ton of colors to choose from. It is absolutely beautiful inside, it feels extremely clean and everyone seems very nice. They offered a beverage when I checked in, too! I will definitely be back.

I've been a loyal customer of Trensy Nails since they first opened, so I was really surprised by my recent experience. I came in with an inspiration photo and asked the tech for input. After an hour and a half, I wasn't happy with the result, so I returned the same day, within their 7-day policy for a complimentary fix. However, instead of honoring their policy, I was told it was my fault for not speaking up during the service. There was no mention of this expectation in the policy, and it was disappointing to be blamed, especially after being a loyal customer. I feel like the "customer is always right" approach was completely overlooked here. I appreciate the friendly staff, but it's frustrating when policies aren't followed and communication isn't clear.

There is a wall of cups here!!!! So for all you cup lovers out there, like myself.... Something to ponder .

I requested the gel builder , since I hadn't had my nails done in some 26 years. Some acquaintances of mine recommended this place to me at a 4th of July party. This salon is brand new and soo pretty! You walk in to a very elegant atmosphere. I was offered some refreshments while I waited for my tech. I hardly waited long. Victor was very polite and took care of my nails so nicely. He does great work and I trust everyone else working there does too. I am a happy Client and plant to come back.

Receipt for our head spa treatment.

I had been waiting for a head spa treatment to come to our area, and they finally did. I scheduled the 55 minute service and asked my friend if she would like to go with me, my treat. She accepted and scheduled at the same time. I had Lily and my friend had Yen. They were assigned to us as this was our first visit and I didn't know anyone in order to request someone. There was a huge communication barrier and my friend's treatment provider had to translate throughout the whole process. I saw the waterfall halo treatment in their ads on Instagram, the scalp and upper body massage, shampoo and conditioning, etc., and it all looks so relaxing! It was not relaxing. It was painful. Five minutes into having my head gouged with fingernails, and then she washed my hair a second time using the same technique. It hurt. She was told multiple times not as hard, because she was hurting me, and it was uncomfortable. My friend seemed to be enjoying her treatment, and I didn't want to make it weird by complaining over and over and distracting Yen from my friend's experience. I laid there and suffered quietly. She massaged my forehead with dry hands and it felt like she was going to rip the skin between my eyes apart. She did pressure point type moves over my scalp and down the back of my neck. She used her fingers and pressed so hard into my scalp. It hurt. I repeated again, not so hard. Then when she rinsed my hair, she scalded me with the hot water. I was literally in pain for four days. It took four days before I could shampoo and condition my hair without hurting myself because my scalp was so tender. I took pictures of the bruising on the back of my head. I contacted them via Instagram, as I had left payment and a tip for my friend and I, and their resolution was to have me come back and pay for another treatment but they would give me 20% off. They wanted to have me come back and visit Yen, my friends treatment provider. After my friend and I had discussed what happened and I showed her the photos, she let me know that it wasn't as great as she was hoping either. They missed many steps, but she didn't want to offend me by complaining about something I paid for. So I am not willing to go back and spend all of that money again just to see if they will actually provide all of the services they advertise without hurting me. They didn't even do the waterfall halo, didn't get my entire arms massaged, she did almost pull my fingers off by squeezing my arthritic hands so hard I had to tell her again not so hard. I'm really disappointed since this was supposed to be a relaxing experience and it absolutely was not. I deal with a chronic illness and thought this would bring a level of relaxation to my life and I couldn't have been more wrong. The images will show the bruising on the back of my head, slight redness to my scalp and my receipts from my appointment. The good: the place looks beautiful. It's very pleasant, the people were nice and I really wish it had worked out. I would've loved to have visited here every 3 to 4 weeks.

I've been to this salon several times. Each time was excellent. Staff was friendly and extremely good at what they do.

I don't even know where to start but I left with the worst haircut. NO style or shape. Just awful!…read moreNot even close to the photos I showed her. She told me what she did after she made the cuts. Didn't ask me what I thought. The water heater is currently broken and she washed my hair with ice cold water. I was not even advised of this prior to her whacking off a chunk of my hair before washing it because that was easier for her. At this point it was too late to leave. My stylist talked a mile a minute and was making absolutely no sense. She then started a conversation with someone else. In the midst of that conversation she looked right at me and said quiet people give me the creeps. That is not even the half of it. No excuses for this behavior or horrible result. I just want my money back.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. TLDR: Taylor at Chroma…read morethe Salon took more than 4 undiscussed inches off of my hair, used a razor to unevenly butcher (for lack of any better description) the back of my hair down to almost my scalp in some places. The color that was done is inconsistent with inexplicable bleach looking spots. Overall, nothing near the cut/color that was initially discussed or requested. I asked for my money back for the cut and was refused by Taylor herself, the manager, and the owner. They each cited "store policy" of no refunds, only offering to get my hair "fixed" by Taylor, and ONLY Taylor. Yes, they made sure I knew that if I wanted it "fixed" by any other stylist at the salon besides Taylor, I would be CHARGED for it! (There is no mention of this policy anywhere online where I booked the appointment, nor was this policy ever stated in any conversation online or in person before the service.) Not one of them offered a sincere apology, nor could Taylor explain her actions beyond using the words "accidently took too much off". More details- After arriving at the salon we discussed the cut which I explained thoroughly, my hairstyle was grown out and I needed a trim of the length and layers. I used my words to explain the cut, used my hand to show her where the length should fall, AND showed 3 pictures of how I keep my hair. Without warning or communication, she started dry chopping at my hair with scissors. Immediately it was noticeably uneven. At one point after the wash she made an unprompted, incredibly inappropriate joke which made me incredibly uncomfortable. At no point did she ask further questions about the cut, nor she communicate at all what she was doing when she began razoring off the hair at the nape of my neck. As soon as the razoring started I spiraled into an anxiety attack because I knew my hair would be beyond repair. Her behavior and demeanor became noticeably panicked. When she went to show me how she was styling my hair with a straight iron, she could not even curl it properly because it was so short and uneven. The color was least of my problems at that point, but it also wasn't what I asked for or discussed. I reached out immediately to request a refund. Instead I was given the opportunity to "fix" my hair as they 'don't offer refunds'. Manager was rude and combative on the phone, and wanted to see my hair before "discussing a refund". Come to find, she was never going to discuss a refund, she just wanted to get me back into the salon. Upon arriving I was effectively ambushed by Taylor, who had been told by her manager that she was "fixing" my hair. Their offer was a free scalp treatment and "pampering". Because that's what every woman wants after getting all of her hair cut off without consent right? I told them that I didn't want anyone else touching my hair, and there was no "fixing" it. After escalating my issue to the owner, she had the audacity to tell me "you still have hair left" and that Taylor had given me a "french bob". Reader- look at the pictures and be the judge. (also DIDNT ASK FOR A BOB OF ANY KIND!!) What could have been as simple as apologizing for screwing up and giving me my money back for a completely botched service, turned in to me having to argue with 3 grown women that they needed to make an exception to "policy" due to the situation. I had to purchase a wig to cover this atrocity while it grows out, which is going to take months for the sides and probably a year for the back. I didn't receive a sincere apology or explanation from any of them.
