We have enjoyed the numerous upgrade/updates that have been made throughout the campground since Sun Outdoors has taken over. The site spaces are better than average with tree cover between most of them, except the few near the Friendship Circle. The sites we've stayed in have been very level with good water pressure. SR has lots of accessible amenities including playgrounds, mini-golf, boating and hiking trails. The pools are our favorite amenities. There is a splash pad for small toddlers, a small play pool for beginners, and outdoor pool that is connected to a large indoor pool and a nice hot tub! Many hours have been spent at these pools. A snack bar/restaurant is beside the pool complex. There are weekly activities planned for guests. This past weekend there was a scavenger hunt throughout the campground, which was planned by the seasonal campers. We had a blast running (then borrowing a golf cart) to complete the hunt! One of the things that sets SR Lancaster apart from the other campgrounds are the seasonal campers. We are always impressed how welcoming and friendly the seasonal campers are towards those of us who visit for weekends/short periods. This welcoming attitude does not happen at other campgrounds!! My wife and I said when we are finally ready to have a seasonal site, this would be where we would make our home. We have already booked future visits to return. Highly Recommend.

Upon pulling in I forgot where they told me their cabin was so I parked at the office to try to call my mom (bad phone service for me in the area). Couldn't reach her. Saw a man walking up to the building so I figured he worked there and would easily help me figure out where I was going.... BIG NO. I said "hi, can you maybe help me" he turned around to me and looked extremely irritated that I was bothering him, I immediately felt unwelcome (this is the GENERAL MANAGER). I started asking him to direct me to where the teepee was/is- He screamed at me that he never EVER had a teepee in HIS campground. Ok so onward-- he puts his head close to my car window and demands I tell him who I am here to see, I tell him my mother. He YELLS "I've got a lot of mothers here so that doesn't really help me now does it miss" so I tell him my mothers name and he immediately yells there is no *her name* in my campground and that I need to leave. So I was very upset and I yelled not the nicest things at him (hey I was on my way out anyway) lol. BUT if you're the general manager of a campground I think you would know the guests who are there! To immediately tell me my mother wasn't there was wrong, he straight up lied. Wouldn't even check the system to see if she was. So I come back because my dad wants to talk to me and this man and this man puts his hand in my face like he was going to hit me ( I'm a smaller female). Disgusting treatment, went in planning on having a nice evening with my family and right from the start I was lied to and told to leave! If you do go there stay away from him and keep your daughters away from him! He had mine scared!

Enjoy an outdoor and indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, and expansive lawn space perfect for soaking up the sun and getting rid of those pesky tan lines. We attended the 'Moon Groove' music festival here, and it was truly amazing! The staff were friendly and welcoming, the grounds were immaculate, and the atmosphere was electric. Note that phones are not allowed in public areas, but this digital detox only added to the experience! With indoor amenities available year-round, there's no need to wait for summer to visit.
