He clearly is committed to providing outstanding results and customer service. I firmly believe that if I asked him not to charge me he wouldn't. However, the problems have been fixed and we had an excellent result with our hall closet, so he has more than earned our trust and appreciation. Actually a really good one since we ended up ordering a high table and swivel chairs from them. We were NOT in the market for them but they were really nice and price was great. Leroy was our sales person and was very helpful. Actually it seemed like he was very busy. We left a deposit for our custom set and then we received it a few weeks later. Leroy and another person dropped off the furniture. We wanted it on a high deck and he lifted the heavy pieces so I can have them in the exact spot I wanted them. He also made sure it did not get scratched on the way up. He then came up and make sure it was positioned in the exact spot I wanted it. he didn't mind moving it a few times until it was just right. I'm glad he did as the furniture is heavy and sturdy. We were so happy with the quality that my husband called the store (Leroy picked up) and ordered two Adirondack chairs with foot stools. The custom items were dropped off (Leroy again) and places in my unique high location. We are extremely happy with the service and the product. Next we want a large table that seats 8 with swivel chairs. I just need to convince hubby since it's an investment. The estimate included removing the flooring, installing new flooring, paint, brick work, etc. Months went by before we heard from them! We asked for a contract which was promised and eventually provided after many requests. After asking for some minor changes to the contract R. Volpe sent us a note saying his schedule was to busy and they could not start our job. That was on 3/12/2024, 16 months after sending the estimate! I try to be understanding, things don't always go as planned and there are many factors that contribute to a successful outcome but 16 months with hardly any communication is poor business practice. R. Volpe Builders may be good craftsman but their business communication and follow up is wholly inadequate! Thomas W.
