Our solar panels were installed in our home in Westchester in September 2022. It is a 7.56kW PV system consisting of 21 Hanwha modules and 21 Enphase Energy micro inverters on the roof. This was the right amount for our house based on the survey that SunBlue did to scope out the job, and they were correct. They look sleek and do not interfere with the aesthetic of the house, since they are not on the front. Since then, we have run net negative electricity over nearly two years, meaning that we generate more electricity from the solar than we consume, which is great. So, we do not ever pay for electricity other than the ConEd service fee (around $30 per month). ConEd credits you the excess which then you can draw upon to cover your bill (i.e., in the winter when the sun doesn't shine a lot). SunBlue was great and handled the entire process from end-to-end. Be prepared that there may be certain logistical issues as you go through the process due to Con Ed, your local permitting process, etc., which all may take several months from start to finish, but not to worry, as SunBlue is well-versed in the particulars of all of it and will handle anything that comes up along the way. When it was time to schedule the installation, they were efficient. They also set up the Enphase system with an app where you can track your output and monitor any outages (so far there have been none). Overall it is a great investment especially with the tax credits, and SunBlue was a very honest company to work with. We will consider them again if we decide to invest further in our system with battery backups, etc. read more

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about this amazing family owned company. Chris and the rest of the staff were so professional, knowledgeable, and walked us through the entire process of getting solar for our home. We started in May 2020 with Chris, the owner, doing a full presentation of different options based on our roof and solar potential. Many times you get a quote from a solar company, it's usually a sales rep who is just simply trying to sell you something and then bother you every day with incessant calls. Chris was clear in their approach and laid out concrete proposals and left it up for us to decide. The installation process was smooth and done over two days in August 2020 and we were cleared by Orange and Rockland Utilities the same month. All the paperwork, permitting, and proposal submission was done by SubBlue leaving the only part to us was financing, getting 0% financing through NYSERDA before it ended in June 2020. The team at SunBlue do an excellent job, perform a clean installation, and are truly dedicated to making it work with the customer. My advice to anyone going solar is to do your research and don't settle with someone just based on price. Ask yourself, will that company stand behind it's warranty? Will they address issues promptly? Will they have parts available in case something needs to be replaced? (**cough Tesla **cough**) SunBlue does, and goes even further beyond. I really have nothing bad to say about my experience with Sunblue. I had panels installed several years ago, and from the get-go they were fast, hands-on, responsive, respectful, and responsive. Whenever a minor technical issue arose, they were able to troubleshoot the problem and quickly correct it. They answer my phone and emails within one day at most. Their estimate of how much power I produced was dead-on. Even today, I am delighted to have low energy bills- sometimes no bill at all. They explained the financing options, and were able to assist with getting a no-interest loan for much of the cost. Years later, when I had to have my rook replaced (dont make the same mistake I did- replace your roof first if you need to!), they were able to remove the panels and have them back up in no time at all. We chose SunBlue energy to design, install, and maintain our 11KW Solar Panel System. The process was stress free. We met with the sales team at our house, where we went through our energy needs to ensure the design would provide sufficient power. They also had the simplest and most straightforward contract without gimmicks and loopholes. SunBlue is locally owned and managed. A lot of other companies are headquartered in other states so often the person selling you the system is only available over the phone or via email.
