Also I was old 12 months no interest but it ended up being just 6 months. Once there the workers installed the shutters great, but did leave behind a few small messes that I needed to clean up. We just completed a plantation shutter project with Sunburst Shutters. I wish I could give them 6 stars. We first worked with Greg who has tons of experience with shutters. He measured everything perfectly, helped us pick the materials and the color. He made us feel super comfortable with our choices. The installation crew was Matt and Robert. They installed 7 shutters in about 3 hours. They were pros and you could tell. They were super careful unloading the truck and placing the shutters in each room. They explained how each shutter worked and offered simple cleaning and maintenance tips. We initially decided to work through Lowes and for comparison, decided to get a quote through Home Depot. The Home Depot quote was $2K less and I believe, had a better shutter. You can see by the pictures, how beautiful these shutters are. Ordered a barn door and all hardware for bedroom-bathroom entry. Nice door, fits well. A little disappointed with the installation though. Door was mounted on wrong side of wall initially. I'm sure the installation instructions were specifically communicated. No problem as it was corrected. Except, the original incorrect bolt holes were left for me trill and paint. This was also communicated specifically to. Make sure you are in the area and check for issues before letting the workers leave. read more

We began our project with visions of dollar sign dancing through my head. After several other quotes it appeared that I was correct. However, on my last estimate I was saved by salesperson (I don't know if I should give names). He gave a fair price with a quality product. We were sold. He continued to tell us about the warranty. Our home is outfitted with shutters with the exception of 2 bedrooms and our dining room totalling 5 windows. In an effort to have the same look through the home I began requesting quotes from 6 different companies. All 6 companies were within $200.00 of each other, but with extremely different timelines. So we decided to go with Sunburst as they had the quickest turn around, albeit; not the least expensive. We were quoted $2800 and some change for 5 windows. We had Jason stop by between appointments. He measured 5 windows from both bedrooms and the dining room. Normally I never accept a contract the same day. I sit on it and then call back. It avoids any regrets ( much like I am having now). We tried to process the payment and his systems were having issues. We were sent an electronic contract ( that I failed to read ) paid the invoice and waited. Come install day. 4 shutters show up not 5. Install crew adamant it was 4 not 5. The paperwork showed 4. After speaking with the company and the sales rep ( not that I imagine he remembers after all this time) we are adviced your out of S* out of luck. Gonna cost another $1200 + but we'll throw in a 15% discount. We declined. Rather give another honest company $1200 if that's the case. Never would we have gone with Sunburst Shutters if their quote was $1200 ABOVE all the other companies. Who would?! My advice review your paperwork! Don't trust the sales rep to be efficient unless this is how they do business. Either way read your work order. Otherwise the shutters are fine. Construction is fine. The shutters do the job keeping sunlight out. ** EDIT: I waited to post this review until after I spoke to the company and the sales rep. I am astounded that the owner would respond in such a manner given he was not part of ANY of the dialogue from day 1. I find it comical and unprofessional. I clearly mention I failed to read the work order. I have text messages that show what I was looking for. You sir were not here when your sales rep came, now were part of any of the conversations between the sales rep, or Charissa when the payment was made or the appointments. read more

I had a couple estimates to have shutters manufactured and installed throughout my home. I found Sunburst to be responsive, professional, the most reasonably priced (I have some very large windows and a tall/large arcadia door to cover) hungry for the business, and they did a wonderful job from start to finish. And my order was completed three weeks before expected. I am THRILLED. Matt the installer was FABULOUS and did an AWESOME job. I do have to say though that there should have been two installers on this job because of the size of the windows. Matt worked his butt off for hours making sure my shutters were installed perfectly. I have purchased and had them install two doors on 2 separate occasions. I can tell you their doors are very high quality. Their installation was also top notch too. One door was a barn door for a guest house. It looked great. The other door was an entrance fiberglass door. It is knock down gorgeous. We had several framing/door jam/construction issues. I ordered shutters for two living room windows. These are my pros and cons working with this company: Pros Salesman- professional, informative and had samples. Cost-best of the three companies I contacted. Waiting times for product and installation were exactly what they promised. Installers- Shout out to Herb and Porter! Professional, engaging and serious about doing their best work. Quality- I love them! Cons When they got here they didn't fit and had to go back. When I called the office the next day, the receptionist was a bit snippy about my questions of how long I would have to wait being it was the measurements that were off. However, the shutters were back and installed two days later. So my overall experience was quite good and I will use this company again as I buy more window treatments. read more

Great customer service. We watched a video on youtube on how to repair plantation shutters (our connecting rod was disconnecting from some of the slats). As we watched we saw text that said something to the affect of... The special staples that are used in most shutters are sold in packs of hundreds, if not thousands. Most people don't need that many, so if you contact us, we'll send you some so you can repair your shutters yourself. I had a hard time believing it, but my wife called, spoke to someone very helpful (wish we remembered her same), who took our info and said she would send some. She did. The staples also came with very helpful instructions on how to go about the process. Our shutters are now fixed. Thank you very much! It was nice seeing so many positive reviews here, that I felt I just had to add mine as well. Bottom line: What a great video it was. read more

Great quality, warranty, and customer service. It's rare when I can give an honest and glowing review for all three of these things about a company. We first had Sunburst Shutters install most of our shutters back in 2005. They have held up exceptionally well and still look beautiful. We had two windows we finally got around to putting shutters on and called them back for the same fantastic service. George, the manager in Service, was extremely helpful and also was able to have some of our magnets replaced and fix a few slats that were broken from kids growing up in our home. Regarding the warranty, one window has never had a sunscreen on it and the back of the shutter was getting sun damage since it was south facing. George worked with me and had it replaced and it is good as new. I highly recommend Sunburst Shutters. read more
