I have been a member for about 20 years. The complete downward spiral of this credit union has been wide screen to ANY member paying attention. This was a place I have relied upon any time I want to buy a car, motorcycle, or even get a loan for anything!!! Now any decision is a corporate committee meeting with cold handshakes and shallow apologies. I got married last year and wanted a small loan to help my wife/kid relocate and get all affairs in order. For $2,000 Suncoast declined me. Wells Fargo said yes. Not only have I never stepped foot in a Wells Fargo - I don't bank there. Then Wells Fargo put a cherry on the cake by approving a loan for a new A/C system. Suncoast let a Chinese seller rip me off for $42.55 even though I submitted proof my item is STILL in Aiken S.C at the time of this writing. Run away screaming. read more

Christine Delmati was so kind and helpful in the teller line. She went above and beyond when assisting me with a car payment!!

If I could do zero stars I would. We are Leaving this awful bank. I warn you DO NOT use this Suncoast for your business. They are awful to use, sit on hold for hours, mean customer service reps, they argue with you to get your money when its your money. I am leaving this bank and never looking back. If you are looking for a good honest bank use Sanibel Captiva Credit Union. You are just a number with Suncoast credit union and thats all you will be even when you are a good customer. Its seem to be an issue with your credit and debit cards getting stolen as well. Run fast from this bank...you will thank me. read more

Good credit union, not so good mortgage department. My loan officer was not that good. Never answered emails or phone calls until I finally spoke to her supervisor. She slow walked my loan probably because I spoke to her supervisor. The actual credit union banking staff is very helpful and nice, so I will recommend them. read more

Holly at the door was one of the most unpleasant people I've ever met in my life. The customers in front of me only spoke Spanish, that bothered her and she was extremely rude. When I asked for help depositing a large amount of money more than the atm would be able to take (because you can only do 3 transactions a day and only put 40 bills in at a time ...I had more than 120 bills) I was asking if they could exchange my smaller bills for bigger bills. And instead of explaining nicely that wasn't an option she raised her voice and started snapping. If you're not able to have a pleasant attitude in the morning. Maybe morning shift isn't for you. read more

We have been a member for over 20 years. They offer great rates, and advice--especially paying off home loans. They do not attempt to make money off their customers. They offer wonderful service. You can trust them. Plus they have always been more than kind/helpful whenever I've called or gone into the bank (weekly). read more

I went to this branch A few days ago had been told I couldn't be verified as the acc owner to do anything but she would extend me the curtesy of withdrawing 60 dollars from said acc which she couldn't verify was mine to me and let me go get and Id that would work for her . After I left called And went trough there Live Teller got my money for the rent and came back she wants to take me to a back room and scan my Id now and print me a New Card ... Sad I Was Treated like a Minority and an Immigrant becausemy id was gov issued not a state issued ?! What read more

Not the friendliest or most informative institutions I've ever worked with. We called and asked if they offered notary services to customers and they said yes they do. Upon arrival, the rude agent "Judy" stated they could not notarize our documents (will, power of attorney, etc) because their legal department did not allow it . No explanation, no referral. Appeared she couldn't have cared less. It seems to me this location/branch is doing everything they can to get away from interacting with customers in person. They rely on video stations, and electronic entry pads to do the work of tellers and receptionist. Perhaps this branch has had so many complaints regarding the lack of customer satisfaction ,they decided to do away with it all together and rely on technology to do it for them. Ill certainly look for alternative banking where offering more then depositing and cashing checks is an option. If I wanted that I'd go to Publix and use the ATM machine. read more

I've been a member for over 20 years I very rarely go into the bank But each time I do I'm very disappointed staff is rude such a shame that the young people today just have no manners they don't know how to handle any kind of pressure I took about an hour to open new account for my granddaughter which ok a bit long but she might be new then she tells us she can't deposit the money the "banks" machine was down we would have to get in line to see a teller?! Wait,what? You want us after it took an hour and "your" machine is down Well nicely I said no Figure out a way or you go cut in line I just sat here for a good hour opening the account well she wasn't happy but guess what? She came back and it was a miracle the banks machine was fixed The young lady kind of tossed my granddaughter her receipt then sat in her chair and turned away from us I'm sure I'm not the only only she's been rude to Wake up Suncoast!! read more

I do online banking for everything. I am also comparing Suncoast to my NY bank. (also savings and loan). Account action notifications: NY bank notified me by email of every transaction. Suncoast, nada. echecks. - NY bank was easy to send an echeck to a person or business. Fill in an online check, address, and it got sent out in 2 days. Suncoast - Was bad last year. They fixed it. - Now it's a horror. In Bank - Both rate high for in-bank personal and proficiency. My two cents. read more
