I was highly impressed with the service from all of the staff here and Dr. Tarbutton. Great doctor and did a great job examining my eyes. I found out I do have the start of cataracts very early on, but I do not have glaucoma. The other eye doctor I went to said I had both. The hardest part was filling out all of the medication I take. I'll be back in a year. If you need a good eye exam, this is the place to go. read more

Dr. Freedman and his staff are fantastic. I have had cataract surgery in both eyes and the results were beyond my expectations. Dr. Freedman is a superior surgeon who takes pride in doing excellent work. I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so. All of his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and really care about what they do. I never expected to see so well, since I have always had poor vision. Two years ago I had the cataract in my right eye done by Dr. Manning at Gulf Coast Eye. He used the B&L En Vista lens and I could not be happier. Then BCBS dropped Gulf Coast, I was unable get my left eye done. I learned recently that Dr. Manning also works at Suncoast Eye Center that does take BCBS. Made an appointment. Well, Suncoast Eye was a pretty horrific experience to say the least. Front desk lady and the initial work-up were fine/super nice people, but Manning's assistant, Dr. Manning himself and the schedule lady were 100% jerks. Don't mention insurance, En Vista or Gulf Coast to avoid psychotic behavior from the above. I'm actually thankful I witnessed this behavior before letting them near me again. read more

What a difference good vision makes!. I am a surgeon and was not aware of my vision problems untill I flunked my drivers visual test. Thankfully many of my coleagues referred me to Dr Freedman at the Suncoast Eye Center of Hudson. He was kind, informative and efficient. Surgery was scheduled, and now my vision is perfect and my life has changed. I no longer get a headache after surgery. The staff at the office and the surgery center really make the place great. They are kind and thorough and very helpful. Dr Freedman has managed to put together a great team and they seem to have been with him forever. Thank you all and keep up the good work! read more

I would like to begin with how nice the eye doctor, Dr. Hauber, was to me and my husband. The doctor however was the only polite, professional personnel we encountered. The front desk woman was not altogether rude, but she was curt. The women that did the preliminary assessments were rude. The woman that did my preliminary assessment initiated our encounter with a snarky comment about my shoes. The woman that did my husband's assessment gave him the impression that he was interrupting something that she would have rather been doing. All of the office personnel made us feel unimportant and bothersome. The eye doctor gave us our lens prescriptions and we thought we would be taken over to look at and try on frames. I had to ask if anyone could help us with frames since they are locked behind glass and was told "she is talking to the doctor right now. she'll be with you when she is finished". I assumed they were discussing me and my husbands exams and then our shopping for frames. When the woman came out, several minutes later, with an attitude of being inconvenienced. She abruptly asked which one pair of frames I wanted to try on. I asked if frames could be ordered in different colors and the woman said "no" while jangling her keys at me. I got to try one pair. She was resistant to assist me and my husband in finding flattering, well fitting, complimentary frames. My husband tried on two pair of frames and he made a comment about having to sanitize ALL the frames that had been touched by us and she made an unpleasant sound. We were not shown to a mirror to see what the frames looked like. I inquired about frame measurements because by that time it was clear we were not going to get the treatment we were looking for and had decided to go somewhere else. The woman proceeded to fumble with the measurement instrument, leading me to question her competence. I received measurements without explanation. My husband and I left at that time. The next day I informed Superior Vision, our vision insurance carrier, to let them know we had received dis-satisfactory service. I told the insurance company about our experience so that Superior Vision would not recommend Suncoast Eye Center as a quality provider of services. I want nothing from this feedback other than to let the personnel at this provider know of their inferior customer service skills and that the manner in which they conduct themselves will eventually hinder their business. I do want to emphasize that the eye doctor himself, Dr. Huaber, was everything his office were not. I had seen Dr. Hauber at his prior office and that is why I chose Suncoast Eye Center. We were taken aback. My husband and I will find a new vision provider for our next appointment and an outside vendor for our frames this time. read more

Your eyes. Would you trust them to anyone? NEVER. I had work done - surgery - at Suncoast Eye Center. I can see at nearlly 20-20 now. Amazing. The gift of sight is one of the most signiificant ones we have. I hit the bullseye when I selected them. Recommended wholeheartedly. read more
