We just had our fireplace remodel completed and are very pleased. Phil was open to my questions on the design options and was patient with me when I changed the entire plan after our initial proposal was already agreed on and paid. We suffered from a major flood in late October and must rebuild our entire bathroom and half of the bedroom. Our priority was to find a good and reliable tile contractor first so that we can upgrade our shower during this remodeling. We found Phillip online, viewed all his previous work, read all the reviews, learned about he is the 3rd generation tile professional, and we made the phone call. That was in mid-November, a lot of contractors are not taking big projects because of the holiday season, but Phillip is very easy to communicate and willing to help us. Phillip showed up next day on time, looked at our place (see picture 1), he told us that he not only can help us remodel the entire shower, but also can help us rebuild the entire place, including install drywall, ceiling, vanity, bathroom and vanity lights, flooring, shower glass, toilet etc., and fix electricity, plumbing etc., basically everything we need to put our bathroom and bedroom back together. With a very fair price! It is very important for us to find a one-stop shop like Suncoast Remodeling. Phillip and his team are very hard-working people, very professional and very easy to work with. Phil from SunCoast Tiling is the only person you'll need to go to for all your tiling needs. We love the results so much that our next project is have Phil do our showers too. The original builders for our house used carpeting for all the bathrooms, so Phil helped us convert them to tiled flooring. My family and I are all really happy with the work he did in our bathrooms. The space is much brighter and the tiling gives it an entirely new feel. What makes SunCoast Tiling stand out is not just Phil's attention to detail and fantastic work, but his great communication. Everything from when I first reached out to him on Yelp for a quote to the project's execution has been perfect. This is my second project with Phil and SunCoast Remodeling - repeat customer because I was very pleased and impressed with the work the team did with our fireplace remodel a couple of years ago. When we were ready for a full kitchen remodel, I knew we wanted to use SunCoast again! Phil and the team are very easy to work with, kind and respectful; and to me the most important GC characteristics are communication and trust. Phil will lay out alternatives to plans or different options clearly, and is very up front about potential changes to the initial contract as your "vision" evolves. Finally, with the entire team, you of course want quality of work and craftmanship -- that's where, in my opinion, the SunCoast team really shines. We had intricate tilework, millwork, large slab fabrications, painting, etc and everything is flawless. Very very pleased and excited for our dream kitchen! Philip at Sun Coast Tiling just completed another amazing job for me. He transformed my fireplace facade from plain, ordinary beige tile to a fantastic stack stone veneer in two days. When I was first conceiving the fireplace redesign I called Phil and within 48 hours he came out to view the project and gave me an estimate. When the project started he was on time, on the date promised and got the work completed by the promised date (two days) at the price determined in the estimate. At the end of each workday the construction area was clean, vacuumed and livable. I appreciated the special attention to keeping my home clean by placing tarps within construction walkways and surrounding areas to ensure there would be no damage or staining to my carpet. His professionalism, skill and work ethic is unbeatable. I have used Phil to tile my kitchen, not once but twice. The first time to renovate. Phil installed wood like tile at our home, and we are very happy with the results. Plank tiles are extremely difficult to install correctly. Phil is a pro when it comes to the installation for these kinds of tile. He uses the right tools for the job to make it happen (tile leveling system, high end tile cutters, etc). He was punctual, cleaned up the work area at the end of the day. And, he keeps the schedule. When he realized that it's going to take him extra time do the install, due to the floor being very uneven, he came in on Saturday and Monday (was supposed to be off due to long weekend) to complete the job so that it wouldn't impact some other work I had planned after the tile install. I don't know why, but for some reason it is hard to find good contractors and installers. We had a number of tile installers come out to our home to give us an estimate for what we thought was a pretty straightforward job. I'll spare you the details of how difficult it was to find someone who could show up and then provide a quote, but suffice it to say, Phil was worth all the disappointments. He showed up when he said he would, he provided a detailed quote promptly, was fairly priced, AND started the job on the exact day he said he would. Seriously, that alone made me happy.
