First of all, I am so happy that my husband found Woodwork Solutions. We interviewed with few companies, but we had a pleasant feeling with Kevin. Their quote was not too cheap, not too expensive, but reasonable. However, they use good materials and high-quality wood. Kevin's team was all very professional, kind, and polite. When I asked for any changes, they never made me feel uneasy or uncomfortable and changed the style exactly how I wanted. After they finished the woodwork, the painting team came. They were also very professional, thorough, and very detailed. The entire staff worked so hard, and they made our house very beautiful. I was referred to this company by a friend who had her kitchen cabinets refaced! Her kitchen is small and mine double the size! When I called, I got sales guy Eric Motley and first impression; he's waaaay to laid back, came in shorts to appointment looked at cabinets explained very quickly the process of removing doors, painting original frames whatever color I wanted, replace with style doors I wanted (shaker style) with WOODEN doors. So don't expect them to be resistant to fire or dings or 100% smooth surfaces! Price to replace 22 doors and 9 drawers all with soft close was $6800. If you supply door knobs and pulls they will install. Price was too good to be true:: once the down payment was sent, Eric promised week later all would be done! Unfortunately some scheduling conflicts with another contractor replacing my floor tile, and countertops, interfered with Eric crew, so we moved it too following week. Long story short, painting consists of covering existing frames with tape and paper which took longer than expected, doors installed following week, but with a ton of mistakes! Door above microwave we're never ordered, doors to the right, were measured short, the drawers, same things measured incorrectly, panels under sink never relived had to remind Eric it was missed! After all was installed, some doors were crooked, or not closing properly. Eric promised a new cutting board, slab of thin treated wood under sink. And white doors were dirty or smudged with fingerprint!! You can imagine my fury! Postponed completion yet ANOTHER week! Almost 1 month later crew came in to retouch paint fix drawers hinges install missing pieces! Paid final balance yesterday, 11/15/18, that evening one drawer panel under sink fell off (see pic) and today the hallway door (see 2 pics) fell off hinges !! I've texted Eric and he's not very good to respond! He or his crew do have a checklist to go off of per Eric but apparently no one "checks" it!! My recommendation don't pay balance until you are 200% happy with every single. I will say Tyler and Kasey are the young contractors who installed doors/drawers very polite very respectful young men. read more

I used Woodwork Solutions to remodel my Kitchen and Master Bath and have had some Serious issues w/my Kitchen. I have made repeated calls to have my issues resolved to no avail. (I have since had to go w/another Contractor to remedy my issues). I've heard that they claim that my issues are 'user created problems'. But I have pictures that prove otherwise. I just finished a remodel of my home office, with a completely custom built-in desk and cabinets built by Woodwork Solutions. I have pretty high expectations when it comes to work done on my house, and I can honestly say that Woodwork Solutions exceeded those expectations. The result is better than I ever imagined. I came to Kevin with a good idea of what I wanted. Some contractors aren't great at working with clients who have lots of ideas (but not a lot of experience with the constraints of actually implementing them). But Kevin and Casey were awesome to work with as we translated my ideas to reality. They both ensured that I got everything that was important to me, and suggested great improvements I hadn't thought of. All of the people on the team were friendly, professional, and did great work. Throughout the process, Kevin was completely on top of things, and always responsive if I had questions (I have lots of questions...). The quality of the cabinets themselves is truly top notch, and the transformation to my room is amazing. There is no one else I would want to hire next time I need cabinetry. read more

Very, very poor customer service. I went into Woodwork Solutions to get a bid on a couple of projects about a month ago for about $15K of customer cabinetry. After getting an initial bid from them, which was very sparce in details, I asked for more detail to the bid so that we were clear on the work to be performed and final pricing. After placing 5 emails and 4 calls into Woodwork Solutions I had Zero responses back from them. Finally, after 3 weeks of pursuing them, I reached the owner, Kevin, by phone and he proceeded to talk over me and argue why it wasn't their fault that they didn't respond and now they didn't want to do the work. This was a very frustrating experience with them as a contractor and I wouldn't recommend them. read more

These guys were fantastic. I worked with the owner, Kevin, to create an 8' custom walnut floating vanity. Their work product exceeded my expectations. Casey created a beautiful vanity that included the grain of the wood continuing from drawer to drawer across the entire vanity. He paid attention to every detail and was extremely professional and easy to work with. They also created a matching pony wall cap and vanity trim that was perfect. We wanted to update/add to our standard kitchen island without taking the counter off. It was originally mostly stucco with a big counter overhang. Kevin came and wasn't sure if they could do it but called me later that day and assured me Casey would make it happen. It's beautiful and exactly what we asked for. The installers were all nice to work with and very careful while in my home doing work. They always left things as neat as when they arrived. All the work was custom and made from high quality wood. I will have to admit my husband and I have very particular taste in home furnishings and we had these huge evolving ideas for our new home to look like a penthouse in Manhattan. Modern floating cabinets, recessed wall paneling, modern white beams, you name it. We said it. But as our plans kept changing Eric was always a steady and persevering guy who understood everything. He probably sent us about 10 different quotes with tiny adjustments here and there, from stain grade to paint grade and back. No complaints, no questions, just like that in such a timely manner. We interviewed about six different companies before contracting with Woodwork Solutions a few months ago. During the bidding process, we found Woodwork Solutions to be fair, knowledgeable and easy to work with. The bid was easy to understand and very competitively priced. We came to understand that this was a family owned company that really cares about the customers and doing what they say they will do within the budget provided. The construction phase was virtually seamless. The workers were clean, professional, on time, and I had no concerns about them being in my home. The job was done quickly and way better than I had expected. I had heard horror stories about neighbors with kitchen remodels so I was prepared for the worst. But I had none of those problems. I now tell my neighbors that they should have hired Woodwork Solutions. I have a beautiful kitchen that actually looks much better than I was expecting, sooner than expected, and at a very fair price. I dealt mostly with Kevin and Casey - both of whom are very professional, fair, honest, and know their business very well. I trust them completely. Kevin communicated with me and thoroughly explained the process. Everyone was on time, and the one time the painter was running behind schedule, I received a call. Made my first contact with this company was through their "contact" section on their website requesting an estimate for some window casings and sills for my home . No response. I called the "sales/customer service" department and left a VM for Eric. No response again. After a few days I called him again and he finally answered his phone. Set up an appointment for Saturday Aug 26 with Eric for an in-home estimate and he was on-time. We explained what we wanted and Eric said it was all possible and would email me the estimate that afternoon. He also stated he would have to come back with another guy to do some measurements. He took no measurements which I found to be interesting. I didn't receive the estimate on Aug 26 as promised so I called the office on Monday Aug 28 and left another VM. I also asked if he really wanted my job since it might be considered too small. I finally got an email with the estimate dated Aug 28. Monday evening I get a call from Eric explaining he sent the estimate to the wrong email address. He also stated he would call me the first part of next week (week of Monday Sept 4) to do the measurements. Since Monday was Labor day, I waited until late Tuesday afternoon to inquire about the next appointment since I didn't get a call from Eric. Left him a VM. No response, so I called again on Wednesday. Left VM for Eric. No response, left another VM on Thursday. No response, AGAIN. Being frustrated with the non-responsiveness, on Friday morning Sep 8, I started calling everyone on their company phone directory until someone answered my call. Finally, Kimberly in accounting answered her phone. I explained my situation and she said she would contact Kevin , the owner and have him call me. All day Friday I never received a call from Kevin. On Friday, Sept 8 at 5:15 PM I get a call from Eric. He finally wants to set up the measurement appointment. Too late I told him. After all the calls and frustration of trying to make contact with him we no longer wanted to do business with Woodwork Solutions. Their workmanship may be good but if you have to chase them to get the job started that is a critical sign that I should have seen sooner. It's amazing how some companies can stay in business with shoddy customer service. There are plenty of other carpenters/woodworkers in OC that want work. read more

My wife and I were looking for a company to do some work to the interior of our home. I actually found Woodwork Solutions on YELP. My wife contacted Eric and he came to our home at the agreed upon time. She told Eric what she wanted and he said his company could do the work. We had beams installed in our Great Room and "Man Cave". We had a room divider installed in one of our bedrooms and a custom china cabinet added to our dining room. The installations were done by Jack and Casey and they were fantastic. One of the things that impressed us most was the care they took with our home while they were doing the work. The beams in our Great Room were installed on a 20+ foot tall ceiling. To his credit, Kevin came out to the job and helped with the install. A great example for his guys of "I would never ask you to do something I wouldn't do" when he got up on one of the ladders and helped with the work. We are very satisfied with what was done. They haven't even been done a week and one of our neighbors has already signed on to have work done. A very professional company that employs highly skilled craftsmen.
