    Starbucks here almost always hits!

Really solid spot overall! The Christmas festivities were super lively -- tons of people, great music, and that cozy holiday energy everywhere. Sundance Square has always been kind of a road-trip muse for me, and the mix of shops and restaurants just makes it even better. Such a fun place to wander around this time of year!

On a trip to Fort Worth, we checked out Sundance Square. Tucked in, you'll find a nice oasis. There's some impressive street art that gives the square some character. Also, water fountains where the kids can have some fun. A couple of restaurants and businesses are in the area. And sometimes you'll see events held here. Sundance Square is listed as a top 10 attraction in Fort Worth. It makes for a cool place to spend an hour.

Having once been employed at a downtown business, I miss working near Sundance Square. As usual, the Square, along with the surrounding businesses, were all decked out with holiday decorations and cheer. My sister and I walked around while waiting for reservations at The Cheesecake Factory. We also enjoyed the safety of downtown as there were law enforcement and security officers visibly patrolling the streets and sidewalks. Come enjoy Sundance Square. It is definitely a family affair during any time of year.

This place was very beautiful to walk through. I honestly loved the silver hat and the water fountains. Reminds me of when I was a kid and we would run through them. Good place to relax and have a good time, love that there is security there. I found out you're not supposed to sit on the hat until after my pictures.

The Sundance Square fountains on a beautiful Saturday afternoon- shutdown until further notice.

Sad. Absolutely sad. I know that we are still in the age of Covid-19, and that there are tons of restrictions, mandates, and life adjustments around both businesses and municipal recreational areas that are supposed to keep citizens safe. However, when there are plenty of restaurants open at full capacity and Sundance Square is closed? That's truly disappointing. The glorious fountains within the middle of the Square? Turned off until further notice. Additional seating within the square by Del Frescos? Roped off, and shut down. The Starbucks next to the fountains? Empty on the weekends. Its so bad that even the pigeons stopped coming here to defecate. What was once a part of downtown Fort Worth's glorious renaissance has now become a Covid-19 casualty. Mayor Parker, please do something about this.

Sundance Square is such a fun place to come for a date night. I love how everything is decorated and festive for Christmas. We love walking around and looking in all the little shops. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. There are even a few bars close by if you want to stop in and have a drink. Overall just a great place to wonder around and see what you find.

Lovely spot to take a walk around downtown Fort Worth. Just a few blocks from hotels like Aloft and The Worthington. I was there on a rainy night, but still enjoyed the displays of the water fountain and the big jolly holiday tree. It is heavy on Christmas, without mention of other winter holidays, like there's a massive nativity thing. But it was a clean, safe, chill environment to walk around and get some steps. Melt Ice Cream nearby was a treat.

A lot of fun to hang out on the weekend with some live music in the background and people hanging out in the open air . Great vibes , worth checking out

Last year, they had computer issues and asked us to move our appointment time after we had already arrived with the kids dressed and ready. We understand that things happen, but having to waste an extra hour with little ones in full Easter outfits was incredibly frustrating. Fast forward to this year, and somehow the experience was even more disappointing. We scheduled our appointment for 11:30 and arrived early at 11:15 with our whole crew ready to go, only to walk into complete chaos. They were unable to print pictures, had staff on speakerphone asking for help, and were checking families in in a way that came across as rude and unprofessional. The first appointment of the day took nearly an hour just to receive their prints and leave, which immediately backed everything up. What was most frustrating was seeing walk-ins taken before scheduled appointments while staff appeared to still be setting up on Easter weekend. Again, we understand that technical issues happen, but the lack of preparation, professionalism, and communication made this a really disappointing experience for our family. What started as a tradition is now something we're seriously reconsidering for next year.

One area that remains the same is the area surrounding the movie theater. I remember my first theater experience here watching the motion picture Aladdin. I'm glad the mall remains open and has kept some of its original charm. Sadly, many malls are having a hard time staying afloat. During my two hour visit, I experienced quite a bit. First I'll start with the least enjoyable parts. When I first walked in, I immediately noticed a woman at the lower-level sports bar and grill wearing a thong and a shirt. Not a short skirt, like her coworker only a thong. It's definitely not what I expected to see after returning for the first time in five years. She quickly moved out of view when she noticed my reaction, but it still left a strong first impression. As I headed up the escalator, I was approached by staff from La Perla handing out menus and trying to guide me into their restaurant. The same thing happened as I walked through the food court. I wouldn't call it a bad experience, but it did feel a bit overwhelming as my first encounter upon entering the upper-level of the mall. From my experience working in a mall, I've noticed food court staff often offer samples, which I think is a more inviting way to attract customers. A small taste can go a long way, when a restaurant wants to acquire new customers and grow their clientele. I read reviews regarding the food court establishments beforehand, and many mentioned rude service, overpriced and subpar food. It would have been nice to try good authentic Mexican cuisine rather than the usual Tex-Mex I tend to eat. I did stop by Mr. Churro, where I enjoyed a cup of ice cream fully loaded with toppings of my choice. Next, while shopping at Burlington and Ross, I noticed loss prevention stationed at the entrances. Having my bag checked and showing my receipt felt a bit uncomfortable, but I understand it's become a common practice to prevent stealing. Another unexpected moment happened while I was shopping. A young toddler suddenly balled up his fist hitting my shopping bag like it was a punching bag. His mother told him to stop but didn't apologize. Later, I saw him hitting his mother repeatedly while she did nothing to correct the behavior, which was uncomfortable to witness. On a more positive note, I really enjoyed the vibrant cultural atmosphere of the plaza. The beautiful quinceañera dresses, crowns, bouquets, and accessories are stunning. The cowboy boots, hats, and western attire also stood out to me. There's a center stage for performances, a creatively designed Dino plaza, and several eye catching displays that make for great photo opportunities. Overall, I had a great time and would come back on a weekday when it's less crowded to enjoy the many food court options and shops.

Aledo, TX location on 7/29/2026 for a consultation with Madison. At that time, I explained thoroughly what my expectations were that I wanted Dark Ash highlights, so I didn't feel so white/Gray or balding to add dimension.I had not gotten my hair colored in 6 years so I wanted to ensure the person I selected would be the best. I explained I wanted to keep my original natural platinum blonde (or grey (salt) and that I just wanted dimension. That was going to cost 325. She somehow talked me into blonding for my ends and for the underside of the back of my head since it was dark and still had color. I figured this was supposed to be a luxury salon and they would be able to do an outstanding job and get me the color I wanted to I agreed. That brought the price to 560 (color only no haircut), but unfortunately, I trusted her and the salon and scheduled my appointment for 08/26/2026. Upon arrival I got a bit nervous as Madison asked me what we were doing today.I said, "we had the consult that I paid you 35 for and I think our plan is set". She said, "That was a week ago, and I have had many other clients since then", so I had to explain it all over. This really rubbed me wrong as I paid for the consult, that doesn't come off this appointment and she didn't take notes? We went through the coloring, it seemed ok, but I wasn't convinced when I left but wanted to give it a day maybe once I wash and style it the following day it would be perfect. Below is what it looked like on Day 2. I was super concerned about the underside and throughout the face where the blonding took place.I called the Salon and let them know, however, I was leaving for Europe in two days for eleven days. They agreed for me to come back so they could fix it on Day 3, the day before my trip. This time I landed with Brook, who was a much more seasoned Stylist and seemed very friendly & knowledgeable - I wish I went with her the first time as she agreed it was Brassy and also indicated that she probably would not have put blonde in my hair. But she didn't want to correct the blonde, she only wanted to put in more lowlights to allow for the white (my original hair color) to pop out more and that I should use purple shampoo on those blonde pieces to whiten it up and eventually just cut off the blonding Madison did. After Brook finished, it looked darker, I wasn't convinced but I trusted and hoped by the next day it would be ok. It wasn't. It was brassier. I tried on my trip using purple shampoo, that didn't work, nothing did. Here are the pictures during my trip - I wanted to cry every day. My hair just looked worse every day, it was so many different colors and never the color it should have been. It looked like trash - and it wasn't starting to become very clear that it was the blonding they did that was never corrected and the lowlights just faded. 9 days after Brook corrected only the lowlights, she refused to touch the blonding, I messaged the company from Europe letting them know the situation and that I would be flying home in two days and would like to get a call from the owner and go in to see her so she could see my hair and address the situation. She finally texted me the following on the Friday I was flying home. The owner's response was extremely disturbing. For a customer service-related business I have never had an owner hide behind texts, not take the initiative to correct a problem that is clearly wrong and try to make it seem it was my fault and threaten me. I'm 100% certain if she went through this same experience, she would expect a refund or it to be corrected. Remember, they never corrected the blonding so only half tried to fix. After 1 day, I have never in my lifetime had my hair immediately turn brassy - it generally would take at least a few months before you would have to work on it so I am warning those that read this to consider other salons, I've read past reviews and the owner has slammed the door in the faces of those with similar concerns or bad service. My remedy, after speaking to friends, family, coworkers as well as the community and neighborhoods where I reside here in Aledo, I found another salon to do a consultation free of charge, his thoughts were these - generally speaking. Hair shouldn't turn brassy one day after getting it colored, he could tell that it was the blonding that caused most of the yellow brassiness and that when this happens it is generally due to the fact that the hair wasn't lifted correctly and no purple shampoo will fix that. We are waiting for my hair to recover and then my only "sure" fix will be to redo those brassy pieces to lift them - however either way it's not a fix at home case so I will need to dish out money due to @MavenHairCo. Aledo, TX refusal to do the right thing.
