The contractors are scheduled, materials are prepped, and this delay has jeopardized the entire project. I escalated the issue to management, expecting accountability and a solution. Unfortunately, the response was apathetic and dismissive. No alternatives were offered. No expedited solution. No compensation for the massive inconvenience they caused. This is completely unacceptable for a company of this size and reputation. If you're planning any construction around their quoted timelines--DON'T. They clearly don't stand behind their commitments. I did some investigating about how to adjust those rollers, and it appears that all that is necessary is a 10 inch phillips head screw driver ( price is 9.95 at Home Depot). The person on the phone said they had it in stock, and the website showed the same--so we drove over an hour to get there. When we arrived, we found out they didn't have the correct swing door after all. The employee we spoke with admitted he hadn't actually checked before confirming over the phone. When he finally got up to look, he just said there was nothing he could do--no offer to order one in, no attempt to help us find a solution, nothing. The attitude was dismissive, and it was clear they didn't want to make any effort to help. Overall, it was a complete waste of time and gas.
