As my incoming plane was delayed, our flight was slightly delayed. Counter agents walked by the departure gate to gate check carry-ons since the CRJ900 is a tiny plane. The inflight service consisted of a bottle of water, along with a piece of Lindt milk chocolate. There was no wifi for the 1 hour flight into Amsterdam. Cabin crew were available and seemed German. Once we landed in Amsterdam, we walked down the plane and walked back up to the terminal.

There no organization when lining up for your group number, it's basically everyone just standing around instead of being in an organize line. They also don't put on the TV what group number they are boarding so everyone just have to listen to the PA system with their low volume. The plane itself was not comfortable for long flights. The entertainment system is very slow and not reactive on the touchscreen. The window seat doesn't have a lot of leg room because there was a metal box there.

All of these mergers have been good for the airlines, but well... me'h for the rest of us fliers. I've been through Frankfurt (am Main) a few times, but never on United. Always on Lufthansa. The ease of getting through the airport was pretty good. But they have this weird, pick you out of the crowd setup, in a corridor leading up to their Gate. I guess if you look, um American, they grab you for additional security. On the other hand, the ease of boarding was pretty good. Their flight personal were both relaxed and friendly. They certainly worked hard at keeping the stress levels to a minimum, which was great. Seats in all classes were pretty good, too. They were much better than that other Atlanta based carrier, which charges you for Business without really giving delivering the seats, or the experience. United, you did so many things well. The ticket counter and gate agents appear to be outsourced folks, but they did a good job of boarding this flight back to Detroit. The gate area was clean and had enough seating. Limited power outlets but better than the NO power outlets that they don't have at the Delta gates at Madrid's airport. Not much food options this deep into the airport. Get a SkyClub here or at least a partner lounge that allows Elite Plus members on economy tickets and we've got five stars.

I was able to get Comfort seats which is the seats between delta one and regular seats. A little more space, each seat had its own screen, and I like the fact that you get to board a little earlier as well. Easy flight, one full meal and a breakfast snack right before you landed. As usual, the pilots and flight attendants were very informative and polite. I love this airline and this flight just added to that.

Der Concierge kümmert sich um Passkontrolle und Einreisepapiere. In der Lounge gibt es mehrere Zonen in denen immer reichlich Platz ist, Liegestühle, Sessel mit Fußstuhl, Sitzecken, Fernsehsessel und die Zigarrenlounge. Die Bar ist sehr gut mit bestem Scotch bestückt, kann fast alle Cocktails machen und hat eine Espresso Machine. Das Restaurant hat immer gute Gerichte auf der Karte mit Saisonangeboten, ein gutes Buffet und sehr guten Service. Es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer mit ordentlichem Bett und der Badbereich hat gute Duschen. The entire experience embodies the epitome of German luxury, efficiency, and accuracy. When my taxi pulled into the private driveway, I was immediately greeted by a staff member (who had "PhD" on her nametag!) who walked me inside and through security. Let me tell you, the security process was the smoothest I'd ever gone through! Then it was a quick ride up an elevator into the sprawling main lounge area. From left to right, there was a spacious business center, lounging area, full bar, restaurant, cigar/smoker's lounge, sleeping rooms, bath suites, and restrooms. I understand the bar has one of the greatest whiskey collections on the planet, though I went for a nice Cuba Libre to go with my stogies after breakfast. Breakfast was a combination of buffet and kitchen-prepared meals. I ordered an Eggs Benedict and helped myself to the nice selection of buffet items. Delish on all counts! When it was time to go, I found my guide who then took me downstairs to the immigration desk and a VERY nice Porsche SUV where the driver took me through the labyrinth of roads under the airport terminal and to my flight. He even escorted me right to the plane's door! I will never forget this experience, and I sure hope to be able to do it again.

This review is not on AA but on the airport layout, security and lounge, prior to boarding. This is terrible...Why would a lounge place prior to security check? It's never the case at other airport, including Terminal 1 at Frankfurt which serves Lufthansa and Star Alliances. Then the security line is terribly long, because they habe to process other US airlines. Once you passed the security check and to the waiting area, there's hardly any thing to buy if you're hungry or thirsty.

Flew out of Frankfurt in Suites the other day and it was a world class experience. Was ticketed in…read moreBusiness class around the world when I received a cash offer to upgrade to Suites, why not? Paid online via Singapore Airlines website and got my updated itinerary immediately via email with seat selection! Did the Auto Check In via the app and I was checked in for my flight automatically. Arrived at the airport for proof of vaccination and went to the Suites counter which was super quick! Boarding for Suites was Priority 1 which was fantastic! Also was able to sit at the gate, waiting for my boarding! Once on board, the cabin crew greeted me by name, helped me with my luggage and showed me how to use the Suite! It's a big upgrade from Business class. There are 2 lavatories for Suites, one significantly larger than the other for the 6 suites. The lavatories were spotless and had plenty of cologne, lotion, soap, toothbrush, razor, combs in the drawer along with space for make up? The Suite itself had a swivel chair that went from the mini TV for landing and takeoff, eating, TV, and watching the sky mode. The chair also had the ability to recline too! There were noise cancelling headphones along with an amenity kit which contained cologne, lotion, and facial mist. The cabin crew also passed out lounge wear for the rest too! Slippers, eye shades, and socks were all inside the private Suite closet. There is a fold down bed that the cabin crew helped set up with a super comfortable comforter, pillows and sheets! Definitely had some really good rest in the quiet Suite cabin with a door! There were pre-departure drinks but no hot towel service, like in Business class. Once in the air, WiFi was complimentary the entire flight for Suites. Unlike the A350, there is no live TV, bummer, just old videos. Meal service started with chicken satay along with champagne. The appetizer I selected was caviar with all the fixings along with a shot of vodka?!? The beef short rib from the special German menu was ok, it came on the dry side. Apparently, dining in Suites is on-demand. The German dessert was also super sweet. The highlight was the fresh fruit platter. After getting a few hours of rest, ordered an extra foamy latte from the cabin crew and they came by very quickly with a slightly bitter latte. Was looking for the fresh noodles as a snack and was directed to the Thai porridge which was odd... Ordered the Tom Yum instant noodles afterwards and it filled me right up with the fresh bok choy and shiitake mushrooms! The cabin crew also suggested another dessert and promised it wouldn't be too sweet. It wasn't! Service by the crew was world class, although a touch more experienced than I would have expected. Had numerous supervisors and managers serve me, the majority male... All in all, a world class experience and I can't wait for my next Singapore Airlines flight!
