Absolutely horrible experience traveling overseas. They book connecting flights too close together…read moreso that when you are delayed by the EU's new biometric scanning security you miss a flight. Then they put your luggage aside and you can't get it sometimes not until the next day. They refuse to offer hotel accommodations when you have to wait for a flight the next day and are completely unhelpful, and their app provides the wrong information. Also you can't get through to anyone by phone. Fly with someone else instead of the "unfriendly skies." Wish I could give zero stars.

The entire experience embodies the epitome of German luxury, efficiency, and accuracy. When my taxi pulled into the private driveway, I was immediately greeted by a staff member (who had "PhD" on her nametag!) who walked me inside and through security. Let me tell you, the security process was the smoothest I'd ever gone through! Then it was a quick ride up an elevator into the sprawling main lounge area. From left to right, there was a spacious business center, lounging area, full bar, restaurant, cigar/smoker's lounge, sleeping rooms, bath suites, and restrooms. I understand the bar has one of the greatest whiskey collections on the planet, though I went for a nice Cuba Libre to go with my stogies after breakfast. Breakfast was a combination of buffet and kitchen-prepared meals. I ordered an Eggs Benedict and helped myself to the nice selection of buffet items. Delish on all counts! When it was time to go, I found my guide who then took me downstairs to the immigration desk and a VERY nice Porsche SUV where the driver took me through the labyrinth of roads under the airport terminal and to my flight. He even escorted me right to the plane's door! I will never forget this experience, and I sure hope to be able to do it again.

Das Highlight jedes LH First trips ist natürlich das First Class Terminal in Frankfurt. Hier ist die Welt noch in Ordnung. Abgeschottet vom normalen Flughafenterminal wird man hier nach wie vor vom Flieger abgeholt und hingebracht. Die Sicherheitskontrolle ist freundlich, hilfreich und es gibt keine Schlange. Der Concierge kümmert sich um Passkontrolle und Einreisepapiere. In der Lounge gibt es mehrere Zonen in denen immer reichlich Platz ist, Liegestühle, Sessel mit Fußstuhl, Sitzecken, Fernsehsessel und die Zigarrenlounge. Die Bar ist sehr gut mit bestem Scotch bestückt, kann fast alle Cocktails machen und hat eine Espresso Machine. Das Restaurant hat immer gute Gerichte auf der Karte mit Saisonangeboten, ein gutes Buffet und sehr guten Service. Es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer mit ordentlichem Bett und der Badbereich hat gute Duschen. Natürlich darf man die Quietsche Enten nicht vergessen. Es gibt ständig neue Enten und sie werden heiß gesammelt.

I was able to get Comfort seats which is the seats between delta one and regular seats. A little more space, each seat had its own screen, and I like the fact that you get to board a little earlier as well. Easy flight, one full meal and a breakfast snack right before you landed. As usual, the pilots and flight attendants were very informative and polite. I love this airline and this flight just added to that.

The ticket counter and gate agents appear to be outsourced folks, but they did a good job of boarding this flight back to Detroit. The gate area was clean and had enough seating. Limited power outlets but better than the NO power outlets that they don't have at the Delta gates at Madrid's airport. Not much food options this deep into the airport. Get a SkyClub here or at least a partner lounge that allows Elite Plus members on economy tickets and we've got five stars.

There was a delay in the flight, hot summer day, sitting in the airplane for over an hour, not even a water was offered. When the flight took off we needed to pay for the water. How can it be that not even a water is included in your ridiculous prices. Once we landed I picked up my baggage damaged. I reported it immediately and absolutely no feedback for 2 months. Lufthansa deals with this in a matter of days. Even Wizzair is giving at least a feedback in reasonable time. When booking my vacation trough Check24.de I am definitely avoiding arrangements that include Condor.

In May I flew…read morewith them from Frankfurt to Tokyo, and it felt like being on another planet, compared to United's economy cattle call. Flight attendants are uniformly courteous, you get special touches like hot towels at the beginning of the flight (even in economy), there are adjustable foot rests in the economy seats, blankets have a heft to them and aren't some crappy polyblend that smells like barf, in-flight movies are plentiful, and plane bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. If there are any cons, the food on this route was a let down, even from basic airplane food standards. Because the plane had originated in Germany, there was an attempt to incorporate regionally-specific tastes like cold cuts, potato salad, and pickles into the Japanese-style menu, all of which did not translate well into the long haul flight context. A tiny serving of soba noodles was also hard and pasty. I ended up being really hungry throughout the journey. Best to pick up food at the airport beforehand (such as at a cafe like Meyer Frankfurt), or pack things from home. Otherwise, kudos to ANA for showing that air travel can be pleasant and drama-free, no matter what class your ticket is.
