Also you can't get through to anyone by phone. Fly with someone else instead of the "unfriendly skies." Wish I could give zero stars.

In der Lounge gibt es mehrere Zonen in denen immer reichlich Platz ist, Liegestühle, Sessel mit Fußstuhl, Sitzecken, Fernsehsessel und die Zigarrenlounge. Die Bar ist sehr gut mit bestem Scotch bestückt, kann fast alle Cocktails machen und hat eine Espresso Machine. When my taxi pulled into the private driveway, I was immediately greeted by a staff member (who had "PhD" on her nametag!) who walked me inside and through security. Let me tell you, the security process was the smoothest I'd ever gone through! Then it was a quick ride up an elevator into the sprawling main lounge area. From left to right, there was a spacious business center, lounging area, full bar, restaurant, cigar/smoker's lounge, sleeping rooms, bath suites, and restrooms. I understand the bar has one of the greatest whiskey collections on the planet, though I went for a nice Cuba Libre to go with my stogies after breakfast. Breakfast was a combination of buffet and kitchen-prepared meals. I ordered an Eggs Benedict and helped myself to the nice selection of buffet items. Delish on all counts! When it was time to go, I found my guide who then took me downstairs to the immigration desk and a VERY nice Porsche SUV where the driver took me through the labyrinth of roads under the airport terminal and to my flight. He even escorted me right to the plane's door! I will never forget this experience, and I sure hope to be able to do it again.

Flight attendants are uniformly courteous, you get special touches like hot towels at the beginning of the flight (even in economy), there are adjustable foot rests in the economy seats, blankets have a heft to them and aren't some crappy polyblend that smells like barf, in-flight movies are plentiful, and plane bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. If there are any cons, the food on this route was a let down, even from basic airplane food standards. Because the plane had originated in Germany, there was an attempt to incorporate regionally-specific tastes like cold cuts, potato salad, and pickles into the Japanese-style menu, all of which did not translate well into the long haul flight context. A tiny serving of soba noodles was also hard and pasty. I ended up being really hungry throughout the journey. Best to pick up food at the airport beforehand (such as at a cafe like Meyer Frankfurt), or pack things from home. Otherwise, kudos to ANA for showing that air travel can be pleasant and drama-free, no matter what class your ticket is.

Then the security line is terribly long, because they habe to process other US airlines. Once you passed the security check and to the waiting area, there's hardly any thing to buy if you're hungry or thirsty.
