Normally I'm satisfied with this place, but my visit today was terrible. The lady behind the counter, I guess the manager/owner gave me a massage. Instead of using her hands, she used her arms and elbow the whole time and it was flippin painful and not relaxing. She hardly put pressure when she did use her hands, and when using the hot stone, all she did was rub it around... She didn't massage my feet at all... even though it's a fully body massage for an hour and generally they do it for at least a minute. And then on top of that, after and during the massage, idk what she did early on, but I had a pinch pain in my middle back the entire time and still feel it now. My friend got her last time she came, and states that she had the same experience. I give three stars because the other women are actually good, but lady behind the counter, TERRIBLE. read more

Love this place. Went for couples massage before COVID and after the lockdown was lifted. They were very clean, temperature checks, masks required, and sanitizer. The receptionist is so kind and accommodating. The staff is very attentive during the massage. I always get an hour and it never feels rushed. Due to COVID they only do the back of your body. Still a quality massage, affordable price, and good location. Other places charge low rates for the massage but try to haggle the tip. Not here. I walked in here to buy a gift massage for someone. Two women came out, asked me what I wanted, and said "sorry", not understanding. I pointed to a sign on the wall that said gift certificates and just gave me stank face and went back to their rooms. Amazing massage. Read all the great reviews beforehand and did not disappoint. They were really able to hit all of the spots that were of tension to me. I have no idea how this place has such a high rating. Maybe the price. $40/hour. I got to my appointment and was brought into a stall with basically a shower curtain separating me from the next client. There was weird EDM Christmas music playing on the stereo (in early October). I changed and the *receptionist* came in to start my massage. I didn't realize it was her at first because I was laying face down. She didn't ask me at all about pain points, preferences, etc. Not one minute into it her cell phone, which she'd brought with her, rang, and she took the call! She half heartedly massaged me with one hand while talking to someone on the phone with the other hand. This went on for about a minute and I told her I could leave if she needed to take the call, or I could wait for a masseuse to become available. She continued the call for another thirty seconds and then hung up. The next few minutes it was like she was rushing to try and finish working on me even though I booked a full hour. She was massaging me at warp speed and at a very superficial level and I asked her to slow down and said that I could barely feel her working on the tissue. At that point I realized someone else was standing in the room with us! Another massage woman who I guess had just finished the client next door to me. The first woman said she was going to leave "because you don't like me since I answered the phone". The second woman was dripping in sweat and before I knew what was happening she was working on me. I think it's a fair assumption that she didn't wash up after the last client and also that she used the same towel that was catching her sweat ON MY BODY since afterwards there was only one towel in the room. At various points I heard her speaking to men and women who popped their head into the room, mind you I am laying there wearing only underwear. This was the only massage I've ever had where I was more tense and stressed when I left! The massage itself was weak and she had no sense of where the pain points were. When I paid, I used a card and the receptionist demanded the tip upfront. I was going to use cash and so was counting my bills out and she said "hurry up!" Seriously you all are lucky you got a tip at all!!!! What the actual f*! I took a scalding hot shower as soon as I got home because I felt filthy and stressed out. read more

I live close by to Sunflower and pass it every day on my walk home. A couple days ago my fiancé and I were feeling super stressed and achy and decided a massage would be wonderful. We booked an appointment at Sunflower for a couples massage and were hopeful that it would be a good experience. We were totally blown away at the the quality of the service that we received. I went in for a couple's massage. As soon as we went in, everything was ready for us. The staff was very polite and accommodated me when I asked for lighter pressure for my deep tissue massage with no problem. The ambiance music was very serene. The lighting was perfectly dim and the massage ended up being very soothing. Everything that I observed was fairly clean. And the massages are very affordable! This little gem I came across it randomly searching for a couples massage. Thankfully I was able to do a walk in on a late Sunday with my boyfriend. We both were in need of a massage, the ladies that greeted us at the door were pleasant and kind enough to walk us over to the restroom then our massage room. We got ready for our massages & as the ladies were about to begin one of them set a timer and showed me before she started. It was for 1 while hour, I liked that because I'm able to trust them on the time. They asked us if we wanted a medium or a hard massage, another thing I like because I have a sensitive back so I went with medium. The massage tables and the room was clean, dim lights and relaxing music. Another thing, my lady was able to roll out a knot out of my back. Wow! She kept going back and rubbing it until it went away. Angel hands! LOL both sides of my shoulders, felt like weight was lifted off of my shoulders. This place is the best hidden gem in Forest Hills. Unassuming little place, inside nothing fancy - be prepared for only curtains separating the tables. Basically a cheap but very worthwhile massage - typically strong, which is how I like it. I recently became a regular at Sunflower. They accommodate my schedule giving me the time I request. I have knots in my upper back and my request for a strong masseuse was taken seriously. Some places refuse to include a foot massage within the 60 minutes but Sunflower has no problem with this. I do not wish to return just to have my feet massaged. Rather than towels, they cover you with a soft blanket; very soothing and cozy. Parking in the nearby neighborhood is easy so you don't have to worry about a meter. Highly recommended!! read more

Sometimes you want a spa experience where you can sip lemon mint water in a soft robe, spend $140+ on a massage, have access to a steam room/pool/etc. and be spoken to only in hushed, relaxing tones. You go and do that; it's lovely but I only have the time for that like a few times a year. So, if you have an hour or two in the middle of a busy week, knots that just won't go away and want someone talented to feel them out and work them out for you for $40/hr, this is the place for you. I've never had to tell them where it hurts. They don't usually ask haha but let me tell you, in my experience, they will find it. This place will get the job done, no frills. I don't like to request specific people and mess with their rotation so I gamble and take whomever they give me and as much as I'm happier with some people over others, I've never been disappointed and always leave there feeling so much better than when I got there. Great massage for only $40/HR. I've been looking for a local place that is affordable and professional. Sunflower is it! After an hour of deep tissue I feel my tensed muscles finally relaxed. I've been to several different places in queens but have not been impressed with the technique and atmosphere, leaving me doubtful on the legitimacy. The location is clean, professional and friendly. Do keep in mind that there is a studio upstairs and you can hear the classes going on but I'll take my chances at this quality and price. It's not a day spa! It's quality bodywork! read more

I received 1 hr full body massage and 1/2 foot massage for $60. Amazing deal that can't be beat. It is not a fancy spa but they are very clean and the staff extremely nice. So I have been coming to this place for years, but I was so disappointed yesterday that I won't return. It was honestly my to go spot when in pain. I decided to go since I had neck and back pains, they usually do a fantastic job to make it feel better. So the problem was that they have a few new ladies working there which know no English at all. I really don't care much about that as long as you do your job right. So this lady begins my massage and continues like what feels like forever just working on one side with her elbow only. I say to her can you use your hands, your wasting my time by being lazy and doing it with your elbows. She says okay, but still does as she pleases. I was so upset when I look up at the clock 30 mins have gone by wasting my time. I tell her to stop and forget it. The owner comes tells me sorry and sends another lady, which was so much better but couldn't do my entire body because only 30 mins left. So basically I walked out of there with the same body stress as I walked in, and they charged me for an hour. Reason I will not return because obviously they don't care about the customer just money. In my opinion they should either charged me half price or the new lady should have worked on me the full hour. My entire body didn't even get massaged, just my shoulders and neck by the second lady. I will take my money elsewhere. read more

My husband surprised me with a massage at this place for the first time. I love going for massages and go to many different places. This place was great. When you first walk in it seems a little off but the person sitting at the front was very kind and welcoming. I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment and was taken in right away. The rooms are a little small and they don't really have places to put your clothes or your shoes. The people who give the massages don't really speak English very well so when the woman came in she said to me how long do you want and what do you want which to me was a little unprofessional but what can you expect when she barely could speak English. But I have to say the woman named Lily was amazing she knew exactly where to go and where all my tension was she worked on every single part of my body and did amazing job I'm giving this place for stars just for this woman alone and the prices you can't go wrong for a one hour massage for $40.
