I made a reservation for my Mom and I for Wednesday evening at 7pm and the restaurant was quite empty though golf course was buzzing. Pro tip: There is free parking in front of the restaurant but it's also for the golf course and is pretty busy even on a Wednesday after 7pm so plan accordingly as street parking is a bit far away. We ordered the mussels as an additional appetizer in white wine broth and also each ordered the $45 menu. We both selected the Oven Roasted Beef Striploin and for dessert there was a choice of cheesecake with caramel sauce, cinnamon cheesecake, and black forest cake. My Mom chose the black forest cake and I ordered the cinnamon cheesecake. The mussels appetizer dish was quite generous in quantity for $23 and mussels were a good size. Served with 2 slices of toast, the white wine sauce was more watery than other places but still decent. For the $45 course, the Summer Corn salad comes with artisan greens, feta, carrot, radish, tomato, red onion, orange vinaigrette. This was a refreshing light start to the meal and we both really enjoyed it. For the slow roasted beef striploin, it was served with asparagus and bell peppers, mash potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and a red wine demi. The beef striploin was lean but not tough and was super trendy and juicy. Yorkshire pudding, which I'm usually not a fan of, was really warm and soft. Overall, a really solid dish that was generous in portion. Dessert was also solid for both the cinnamon cheesecake and black forest cake. We barely finished the dessert and both of us had leftovers of our entree to take home as we couldn't finish our food. Great value for a 3 course $45 meal for today's economy and the service was really friendly and warm.

Stepping into BMC is like taking a time-machine back to the 1960's. Decor looks straight out of an era when Polaroid cameras ruled the photography world. The restaurant itself is moderately sized, but they were able to accommodate our party of 12. Restaurant was very dimly lit; most of the light was coming from the setting sun. The menu had as many choices as a typical White Spot. Prices were reasonable, but entrees could be upgraded which could cause prices to escalate if you weren't prudent. For example, I ordered the steak but got the lobster upgrade which raised the price by 30%. And, it was the lower-grade Caribbean lobster instead of the much juicier Atlantic lobster. It took a long time for the food to begin arriving. But, we did have a larger party that night. But, after a long wait, all our food arrived almost all at once. Presentation was good, and portion size was adequate. My steak was medium rare even though I had requested rare. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals, and a few were unable to finish their food. Service was only okay. If they weren't taking your order or delivering your food, you didn't see much of the staff. And, the restaurant wasn't exactly busy either. We did ask a server to take a group photo of our table, and they happily obliged. I'd skip the round of golf and go straight to the restaurant.

There's plenty of free parking available with their own lot, although the spaces are of course shared with Nemesis' and the Gallery's guests in the Pavilion. We noted on our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. Nothing complimentary was offered, which we weren't expecting or counting on - just noting it as part of the experience. Golden beets were a tad too hard for my liking, the mussels unfortunately were not fresh, it had a very fishy aftertaste. Meatballs are not bad, but I think Nonna's were better. The burrata with tomato jam really stood out amongst the appetizers. The ragu pasta is decent, didn't wow me, but I do like the interesting shape of the pasta, which makes it more chewy even though it was cooked softer than al dente. Pizza is nice, hot and ultra thin crust. We ordered the panna cotta which was a nice surprise. The chocolate shavings and pistachios add a really nice crunch to the smooth silky panna cotta. The server surprised us with his favorite dessert which is the olive oil cake. Honestly just by looking at the menu, is not something I would have ordered. But the taste was delightful, cake is light and moist, the orange flavor really came through. Many restaurants lack in the dessert department, and desserts are usually underwhelming, but this time I'm glad it ended with a bang. They're on the pricier side, as expected, so is not somewhere you can go regularly. But if there're special occasions or friend gatherings, I'd be willing to come back. With all the space they have, wish they have a dog friendly patio though.

For a place that is more upscale (read: more expensive) that is extremely shameful that they are skimping on fruit for their Sangrias like this. As for food - personally I found it to be super bland. Good thing the table came with salt and pepper so I could season my own food, which I will say that after seasoning it myself (a lot) it was actually quite delicious. I had the Miso & Spiced Honey Glazed Black Cod and the fish and vegetables were cooked well. Overall I enjoyed my dish BUT only after seasining it a ton myself, which in a relatively upscale restaursnt such as this I really shouldn't have to. So overall, 3/5. The best item that we had was the Polenta fries with real Parmigiana Reggiano and a spicy Calabrian chili mayo and chive ash was in our mind fantastic! We'd come back for that alone. My Falafel pull apart sandwich had good flavour, but the corkscrew fried pickle was underwhelming and greasy. I don't know how they made the fries so dry, but they weren't good. The lovely K had the Spicy Peanut noodle bowl, which needed far more peanut flavour, more acid and maybe a little heat. The menu is quite eclectic, but might be a little too much so for some diners. That said the Polenta fries will bring us back, and we'll be trying to copy them at home.

This was much better value than the happy hour wine by the glass. We shared an order of teriyaki chicken wings from the happy hour menu. It was a generous serving, and the wings were very good. For entrees my husband had the lamb shank with potatoes substituted for the risotto and I had sea bass. There was no problem with the substitution. My husband said his lamb shank was good. I enjoyed my sea bass. It was well cooked and there were 3 good sized shrimp with it. It was very tasty, but I would have preferred a bit less stock in the dish. For dessert we shared an apple passion fruit tarte that came with ice cream. The ice cream was a pleasant surprise as it was not mentioned on the menu. The tarte was good but we could not taste any passion fruit. It was a good evening. Service was good, the food was good and the room is very comfortable. It is good value for the money.

After looking around i wasn't able to find any - so i inquired about it and said "hi, i just have one inquiry, we're out of toilet paper in the left stall. could we get some more please?" and she goes "there should be some in there" and just walked away.
