First things first, I love the name- the store lives up to it! While hype isn't everything to go by, Sunflower has maintained its popularity for a reason. This is one of the most well-known natural supermarkets in Woodstock. Most (maybe all) of Sunflower products, whether groceries or skincare- are organic at this Mill Hill Rd health food market in town. We picked up very light stuff to have at the cottage or to take during our creekscapades like lots of fruit and plain Chobani, Granola for breakfast plus a few other things. My only issue was that some of the strawberries these folks carry, had moldy ones and I was really thrown off by the quality- especially here. Other than that, Sunflower stocks up nicely. Everything else we had gotten was ok after $93.

I'm actually really disappointed in the sunflower markert. My husband took me up here last year because all he did was rave about how this place was so good. After walking around and seeing everything, we were both very disappointed. We drove an hour up here just to find it very, very outrageously expensive. We love farm to table, fresh grown items, but this was a little bit too expensive.

The produce is outstanding especially the wide variety of locally foraged fungi. I highly recommend the Seven Grain Bread from Machu Picchu Bakery. Sushi is freshly made in house. Check out the back of the store for the wall of IPAs. All the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable - say hi to Lynn Marie, she's just lovely

Two stars because they have a good selection of organic groceries and supplements. I would have given 1 star because the outrageous prices. They have signs posted saying there has been a shortage on deliveries. But that should not give cause to hiking up prices. It sends a message that only wealthy people should have access to healthy food. Especially during a pandemic, it is particularly shameful. I highly suggest researching the weekend farmers markets -- it's not as convenient. But it's priced more fairly and realistically. Also often the produce items I have gotten there spoil within a day or two of purchase. Which kind of makes the prices even more of an insult.

I lost my mother in Feb 2025 and she has been such an illuminating portion of my day since. I'll see Tammy for a mere minute or two and I'm already feeling better. We also show each other our cat photos, it's great! Adrianna is also so helpful and kind! She was patient and precise with any question I'd ask. I'm also able to learn some Spanish (because I don't speak natively, so I always ask her "como se dice" ("how do you say"), and whether I need raisins, spices or something else, she shows me what isle and she pronounces the word in Spanish so I can learn. It's refreshing, honestly. Kevin is also very kind and cool! I always see him in the cat food section, ready to help customers. These small interactions make my day a tad bit better. These friendly interactions ensure my shopping experience is top notch!

The general quality of commercial and the few organic brands, prepared foods, cheeses, etc are fine. Some of Hannaford's stock is tailored to the local community. For example, I feel these folks offer more bison cuts and even think there's more turkey here than any other local supermarket I shop at in Westchester County. It's easy to rack up points with their free loyalty program which you can use to get money off your entire grocery bill with those $5, $10 (listen, I'll take it) or receive those coupons to spend on individual offers. Price is fair for the area and service at the cashier is pleasant. .

I chose take out so I placed my order and then went shopping next door. They had bar seating and tables and one bigger table for larger parties. It's not a huge restaurant. The meatballs are good here. You can get them as a sandwich, with pastas or just meatballs alone. They also have vegan version as well. The store is pretty good. Frozen stuff including their meatballs and lots of other stuff. Hot sauce, chips and more.

really cute spot with so much potential!…read more great service! we sat right at the counter. the house beer was 2 options, and altho i wouldnt order this again, it wasn't bad and the label was cute. i grabbed the sundied tomatoe and chickpea meat(less)balls. i really wanted to like these, but unfortunately they were less than par. they would not stay together, they were too mooshy and fell apart. hopefully they can work on a better biding agent. the flavor was okay. there was plenty of sauce. unfortunately they dont give you bread for the excess sauce. we ordered the bread for the side and i think this was a $6 charge. i guess they figure u can just order the sandwich, but i ordered the bread because there was just so much sauce involved in the meatballs. my date got the regular meatballs and he was pleased. happy to see theres another option for me to try on the menu - the chicken meatballs. would give this place another shot while in town to try them.

If you live in Woodstock or happen to be there on a Wednesday between June and the end of October,…read moredo yourself a favor and take a stroll through the Woodstock Farm Festival between 3:30 and dusk. Actually, if you live here you are probably cursing me right now in hippie speak because you have been coming here for 20 years.* Actually, if you live here, you probably aren't looking up your favorite farmer's market on Yelp so I'll just have at it. In 12-15 vendors or so you will find everything that you need to eat healthy and well. From meat to vegetables to fruit to other more savory items (pie, honey), you can easily do your shopping for the week sans beverages. It's an extremely friendly and community oriented atmosphere, accepting of anyone who wants to partake in the festivities. As a side to the market on Maple St., there is a flea market area where there are also food vendors, tents and picnic tables to enjoy your food and some live music. If you are lucky, you will even get to witness some dancing that has probably been going on here since the actual Woodstock. Get a couple tacos from Black Eyed Suzies and do yourself a big favor and get some pretzel bread from that nice lady with the pretzel stand. If you really want to treat yourself, get a chocolate filled pretzel croissant. Actually, get three and send me one...or all three. With Woodstock not full of too much to do at night, this market that spills over into the evening is the perfect opportunity to eat, shop, mingle with the locals and enjoy the cross section of Woodstock that makes it such a relaxing and inviting place to spend some time. _____________ *Sorry.
