I had a great customer service experience. Been meaning to stop by one of the locations . This happen to be the closest at the time. They asked what I need it the glasses for and I told them. They show me couple of pairs and even encourage me to wear them outside to seethe difference. They even compare brands and told me the pros and cons of each brand. The is typical sunglass hut experience. I never had any issues with them and will continue to shop here or any other locations. read more

I'll keep it short and sweet. I had a very positive experience at this location. I came in to see if I can get some replacement lenses for some sunglasses I still really enjoy, but the lense coating slowly came off and they started to develop scratches over time. The staff was not pushy in trying to sell me new sunglasses, and I was able to quickly order replacement lenses. They called when the new ones arrived, and they popped them right in. They also gave some pointers on how to extend the life of my new lenses. read more

Usually love Sunglass hut and purchased many glasses (15+) from here over the years. As luck would have it, I left my fav pair Maui Jim's on the plane and needed a new pair fast before a vacation. Went to this store at 10AM (opening time). Not open. Waited in car until the gal walked up. I waited 5 mins so she could have a few minutes then walked in. No greeting, so I asked if the store was open. She barked at me, it's open.... ok... asked where the MJs were... she said, if you pick them up make sure they put them down in the same place. Ok, purchased a pair bc they had the perfect pair of MJs, but will never come to this store again bc of the attitude I got. Not friendly, helpful, or professional. read more

I don't get the low ratings for this place. I've never had a bad experience here. Today I went in to get a repair kit for my ray bans (screw came out --- they're 5+ yrs old) and they didn't sell me a kit ... they fixed my sunglasses for free. I have frequented this West Gray location for over decade but this time was my best experience. Drake is a delight; he is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and has an eye for what the customer is looking for. He was so helpful that I left with 3 pair of sunglasses! He is also charismatic and patient. This location had a great selection and Drake ensured all the glasses were sanitized. He was also able to adjust the fit on one pair I really liked but were a bit too loose. read more

Awful customer service. Condescending manager. Tried to work with them on a pair that was sent with wrong frame, had broken a lens, asked if I could pay for lens and grab the frames they should've sent in the first place. Save me a trip since they messed up in the first place. Wouldn't even hear me out. Just no. It's fine if you don't have the discretion to do that, isn't policy, fine no problem ... but don't just refuse to work with me and be condescending. As far as I'm concerned, in Houston sunglasses are an essential...an extension of your body during the hotter, brighter months. My friend Andrew needed sunglasses, so we headed to Sunglass Hut in the River Oaks Shopping Center on West Gray (the black and white shops!) I was impressed with their offerings of brands and styles in a small space. They stock RayBan, Oakley, Revo, Prada, Burberry, Polo, and Versace. The sales associate was friendly and very helpful! She was also honest! Woo hoo! She was knowledgeable about styles, trends, quality, and construction. She was also very good at her job...I walked out with a new pair, as well (he he he - sucker). As we were checking out, we learned about some SGH extras...they keep your information in their database, so you don't need your receipt in the future, there are free adjustments for the life of the sunglasses, you may return the glasses for 90 days for any reason. And, the ultimate...If you return an portion, that's right, portion of the sunglasses to SGH, you may replace them for 50% of the current list price. Pretty good deal if you ask me. Just remember to grab a lens or a piece of the frame as they sink to the bottom of the river! read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Leaving out of town and needed sunglasses. Got there at 10:15 on a Saturday morning. Not even open for 30 minutes later. Got tired of waiting in the parking lot so asked the neighboring stores what time they normally open. They said around noon even the sign said noon. Is getting people to open a store to sell merchandise really that hard. Go to rice village or galleria. read more

I just called the store and the woman who answered was very rude. I asked her if they carry the Ray-Ban Chromance Sunglasses and she said of course we do. I then asked her if they have them available for men and what price. She acted like she was very bothered by my question. I said one last question what is your return policy she said 90 days. If it wasn't for her attitude I would have gone to purchase two pairs of these sunglasses one for me and for my spouse. However with that woman's horrible attitude, I guarantee you I won't be going there read more

I have come to realize Sunglass Hut in general doesn't hire people with any ambition in life, but this location takes the cake. I walked into an empty store and was casually acknowledged by the guy coming from the back room. I was trying to buy new lenses for my Ray Bans. After he searched Google on his iPad he told me I would have to go online to order them. Why have sales associates if they don't try to sell anything??!! I am aware I can buy anything online, but I went to the store for a reason. In the end I completely wasted my time (and his too apparently). read more

MI purchased a Ray -ban at one of the stores located in Galleria mall Houston, was not happy about the item I purchased and went to return it , the supervisor -her name is Iris first told me that I need to have the cloth we use to clean the glass to return it , so I went back home look for it and came back 5 minuets after 6 and she told me that they are closed, what kind of supervisor honor working hours over customer service? Then went back and came the next day to meet another sales agent who mentioned to me that the glass bought 3 days ago has not even wear it has a crack ,a day before that the supervisor checked and could not find anything, I did not even take it from the box after that, now this agent tell me that it has a crack, I know there are looking for a reason not to return the item, and the agent mention to me that either I have to pay 80 and replace the lenses and return it or get 50 % discount if I purchase a new eyeglass, I was very disappointed and left the store. I bought a Ray-ban at Macy's but the customer service I got was out of this world, they even go extra miles give me some gifts. The customer service had at this particular store was the worst. I highly discourage anyone who want to buy a glass not purchase there, I felt like I am robbed, the supervisor was very unprofessional and short sighted, very very rude . I am very very disappointed. It is 4:09PM and the sign says they close at 6PM and there is a sign on the door saying they are closed until 4:30 and it's locked. I needed a repair done and I was also probably going to purchase another pair and I don't really understand why they aren't open. If I ever do need to get sunglasses, which is usually twice a year, I come to Sunglass Hut. I mainly stick with my classic Raybans, I have several pair, but every now and then I like to browse the new styles. I have my eye on a killer pair of Burberry ones that just came out, but I think I will ask Santa for those. This location I like in particular, because I can get it and get out. Parking is a bit of a pain, but I usually park in the back and walk around. The people who work there are always friendly, and helpful, not too pushy, and adjust my glasses before I leave. They also will send you deals, coupons, ect from time to time in the mail. They have a wide variety of Raybans, Maui Jims, Prada,Tory Burch Burberry, Men's, and every other big name brand. Best service ever! Sunglass huts in malls are too busy and are not as personal. This location goes above and beyond to make sure you get the perfect pair of sunglasses. Stacy the manager and the rest of the team are always accommodating.
