Received the glasses I ordered in the mail. The "arms" of the glasses looked super stretched out and glasses would fall immediately off of my face. No big deal, took them in to be adjusted. Spent 25 minutes with someone adjusting them before I gave up and said they were fine while now being crooked and also the "arms" still being very wide. Have come back twice to try to correct and there has been a wait. Might have more patience for this if this wasn't multiple attempts. Last minute sunglass shopping before I was leaving on a trip the next day. Was greeted by Oliver immediately as I walked in the door. Took a look around and found the pair I wanted. Oliver let me know the pair I wanted had just been released and were the only pair he had. This was my first actual free standing Warby Parker store and I was like a kid in a candy store. The glasses are simple yet stylish and the prices are right on the front of the shelf for you to see, no little tags that you have to figure out, clear prices. Everyone in the bright store was trying on glasses and the store was packed with people. Who knew that buying glasses could be so much fun. The glasses had simple names, but they were so unique in the fact that they were either a round style, or maybe square'ish, and the colors were muted but you could get a pink or a purple that was not screaming but still showed your style and looked professional. I love their mission of giving back a pair of glasses for each pair that is sold. Awesomely awesome! I myself did not get a pair during my visit, but I do have my eyes on a pink pair that I loved. The whole experience! We took a somewhat difficult friend (LOL) to look at glasses and Teri was amazing! She explained very clearly to her why certain styles would not work with her prescription. In fact, Teri discovered that the glasses our friend was wearing, which she had been wearing for a full year, had not been made according to the prescription and that's why our friend had been complaining to us for a whole year that she wasn't seeing right! I won't name where she got them but we've encouraged her to take them back and ask for her money back! Our friend has a very HARD time making a decision about everything but she felt so comfortable with Teri's recommendation that she actually ordered the glasses right then! Went in to simply purchase a pair of glasses with extra thin lenses... already had them picked out (Hughes in Marzipan Tortoise) and had my prescription in hand! It was raining and there were no other customers in the store... three associates so I was eager to get the transaction finished quickly! Unfortunately, the young girl seemed "new" and kept asking others for help?? Then I couldn't load my prescription and asked for their password to the guest WiFi (only to be told that the WiFi wasn't working????) We waited and waited for prescription to download... she wrote up the order and my price was $130... gave her my husband's credit card and the pending transaction went thru... BUT SHE WANTED TO SWIPE OUR CARD AGAIN??? She claimed it said "estimate" wasn't approved??? Another associate started looking for the transaction on his laptop and couldn't find it??? I was not going to let them SWIPE AGAIN... what a waste of my time??? And that pending charge stayed on our account for 3 days... beware! I have been wanting to check this place out for awhile. My new company gives us an HSA, so I had no excuse not to now. Armed with my prescription and a general look of "I have no idea which frames look good on me," I entered the store. I was quickly greeted by a gentleman dressed in their Warby Parker blue smock. I believe his name was Michael. He was very helpful at getting me to the frames that worked for my face structure and I actually liked. I was in and out in less that 20 minutes. He made it quick and painless. They were shipped to my house and I will get them exactly a week after I ordered them. Extremely poor service. When you arrive and you're uncertain of the " ma'am we'll be right there with you." 1. Are you welcoming me? 2. Should I stay right behind this customer and block the entrance/door? 3. Are you telling me you're coming to assist me when you're finished? When you're looking around and no one speaks to you.. But then you observe other customers being approached and having a grand time. Giggles included. I had a horrible experience where I practically had to summon assistance. And when I inquired about help I wasn't sure if it was authentic. Maybe they're understaffed, maybe everyone was having a bad day? Either way good customer service is important. So excited to be able to see again lol I recently lost my glasses, and had to come in to buy a new pair. I have been to this location a total of three times because of how indecisive I am. All three times, the staff was extremely patient and kind (and even remembered the frame type was drawn to). They were knowledgeable about the frames, and were helpful in suggesting what glasses best fit my personality and style. They also let me know about new frames that were in, and which were limited addition to help with my decision. The store has a huge selection to choose from, and the prices are very affordable. I actually had to buy two pairs of glasses, because I just couldn't decide. I will definitely be returning to this location! Had my first W.P. Experience today. When I entered the store I was immediately greeted by store employees. I showed up thinking I put my prescription in my bag, but I accidentally forgot it at home. The employee told me not to worry that if I found a frame I liked I could just send the prescription via email! That is such a plus!!! I proceed to try on frames throughout the store. I love that the frames are separated my size (narrow, medium, wide) it was easy to go straight to the frames I knew would fit my face. I found one pair I really loved and when I realized I would only have to pay $95 I could resist getting a second pair. I found a funky pair that is out of the box from what I would normally choose! I got both pairs for $190 without my insurance!! The last time I bought two pair it costs me over $400 with insurance! I paid and left and received an e-mail by the time I got home. I took a picture of my prescription and pressed the button "upload prescription" and just like that I sent it. My glasses should be ready in 7-10 business days! Such a great experience. I am giving this place 4 stars for the service I had the previous day, forgot the man's name but he was an older white man with cool hipster glasses and a lot of swag. The building is also very neat and minimalistic which I value. Today I went in to inquire about the glasses I saw the previous day, and when I came in I was instantly met with violence. Employee Alex was very condescending and rude, instigating an issue that I did not have. He also mocked me. He insinuated that I was upset that he asked me if I had COVID symptoms which of course is protocol. Only a dummy would be angered by that. He said my face looked as if I was angry with him, mind you, I am wear a bandana and presenting my body language in a non threatening way. Unfortunately, as a black woman this is the kind of thing I have to keep in mind when interacting with others. He was very off putting and I was scared to further interact with him because others of course would perceive me as an aggressor. LUCKILY, a lovely young woman by the name of Meagan/Megan approached me and was very helpful. She was very sweet and made me feel way more comfortable. If it wasn't for her, I may have not left with the beautiful frames I found the previous day. Overall I'll say it was a nice experience but if you're a black woman I'd say avoid Mr Alex. read more

I came in this passed weekend as I've been searching for new frames and I've always wanted to try on some WP frames. This store has a huge selection and the fact that they have a low bridge section is amazing! If you want to see it, you have to ask an associate to show them to you since they're in a box behind the counter. Unfortunately, the customer service is pretty bad here. No one ever greeted me or offered any help. All the kids that work here were just standing around socializing amongst one another. Once I was able to get help, I felt like a burden. I have issues finding frames because I have a very high prescription and the shape of my face/nose. So having someone actually willingly help me would have been appreciated. ****EDIT**** Once I received my glasses, I brought them in to the University location for adjustments and those guys blew me away. I knew about the opening of this WP before I even realized what Heights Mercantile was. I abolsutely love this brand's glasses and can't even believe that I had ever shopped at LensCrafters. I was actually appalled when my friend asked what I thought about these $300 frames she was considering ordering! I looked at her in utter shock and said "girl, did you not find anything you liked on Warby??" She had no idea what I was talking about, but now she's a convert. I'm on my second pair of frames (Welty and Louise) and considering getting Louise sunglasses, but the point is that I love these glasses. I stopped by with the bf since he was glasses shopping for the first time. We were incredibly disappointed with the service here. No welcome or help from any employee. The bf is super low maintenance, so we made it through the whole store within a couple minutes even though I made him try on a good number of options. We brought the frames and his prescription over to an employee who told us that she would be "right with us" as soon as she finished helping her current customer, so we sat on the benches and waited. I watched her help about 2-3 more parties after that customer, but gave her the benefit of the doubt and waited while I may occasional eye contact to remind her where we were seated. I walked up to ask her if I could place an order at the counter and the response I got was not a Y/N but that an employee went to the ER the night before so they were short staffed. My sympathies to that employee, but terrible response from a customer service standpoint. Sunday is errand day for us and had we known it would take that long, we would have left a lot earlier and just placed the order online. I was initially introduced to online Warby Parker and immediately fell in love with the convenience and pricing. When I found out there was a store open in Houston, I was eager to see what that would be like. It's quickly become one of my favorite spots to take new folks to Houston because everyone is so in awe with a store front Warby. What's is triggering my review today though is the continued experience you get as a customer despite the date of your purchase. I purchased my most recent warby frames in early February of this year. Since then they've gone through some wear and tear. I went into warby to pick out some new frames and when telling a rep why, they let me know that Warby would replace my current lenses for free without any type of documentation. I left the store that day with completely new frames! It was awesome that this wasn't a secret menu feature and a rep was eager to fill me in on the service. I was super excited when I heard they were building a store in Houston. I had visited this location a few times and decided to finally order the 'Louise' eyeglasses. Ordered them in store January 7th and received them in the mail January 13th, sooner than expected, and nicely packaged! It took about 2 days to get used to the prescription. I added the high index option they offered for the price of $30 in addition to the frame price of $95 (out of pocket, did not submit reimbursement through my insurance, but I believe you're able to) Super affordable when comparing how much other optical places charge for this type of lens, even with insurance. So I went online and found Warby Parker I could not believe the quality and the prices $295 progressive lenses with a great frame! Sure, the pick five frames is nice but I'm kind of lazy to keep going back and forth. Went after I fell down and heavily damaged my glasses. The sales associate Grace was super courteous and helpful, and steered me towards frames that were best for my face. For a weekend with so many people in the store, she took her time with me and helped me immensely. Also, while they couldn't do anything about the scratches on my glasses, the gentleman at the counter helped re-shape my metal frames and now they fit perfectly. Honestly, I don't think you'll be able to find another store with such a wide selection of frames, people with years of knowledge, and an amazing price. read more

Update to original review: My progressive glasses came in and the distance part is very good. The close up vision is useless. There is only the tiniest portion of that part of the lens that is even usable and I have to hunt to find it. It's like looking through a pin hole. Complete waste of my time and money. I would have paid more for glasses at a traditional store but they would have been correct. I'm sorry I went to Warby Original review: The greeter at the door was very nice but the guy who was supposedly "helping" us during our scheduled appointment couldn't have acted more annoyed that we were there taking up his time. He said virtually nothing even when asked to help my daughter choose frames. His response was, "I don't know. What shape do you like?" He looked at his watch several times. He made zero effort to explain the process or discuss the product. His attitude was as if the purchase of glasses is of no more consequence than buying a case of beer at the convenience store. As a longtime glasses wearer, you cannot beat the all in one price for frames and lenses. On the recommendation of a friend that tried the online services, I visited the Heights location to try in some frames. I'm giving 5 stars because even though the frames aren't the highest quality or appearance you cannot find that price for a frame and lenses made.
