EaDo Bike Co has become my local bike shop for any repairs or tuneups that my bike needs. All of the staff have always been friendly and it has never been too busy on my visits here. Note that they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays weekly. They don't have their own parking and there are limited spots on the street. I guess that's the point, right? Come via bike and bring your bike in so that you can get it taken care of and maybe some additional accessories for it. On my latest visit, I got the Basic tune-up package ($85) and an overhaul on the wheel hub ($35) because they noticed excessive noise on the spoke when I came in with my bike. While this does seem on the pricey side and they have other tune-up packages that are more expensive, I trust their workmanship and can walk out knowing that my bike is in the best shape and has had a comprehensive safety check. My service had about a 3-day turnaround time. I brought it in on a Thursday and they notified me on Sunday that it was complete. Do take into account that if you bring your bike in on a Sunday or Monday, this turnaround may be a little longer because of their closed days. When I received my bike, it felt good as new again and I was excited to be back on the road with it. I totally recommend EaDo Bike Co for your bike service needs. They do have bikes and accessories for sale as well. I was looking for a light to use for night riding, but the ones here were a little pricey (set for ~$150), so I opted to do some research and purchase on Amazon instead. read more

My partner and I visited your store for the first time because we wanted to check out the bikes you have for sale and for rent. When we walked in, there was no one at the front, and we weren't greeted. We spent several minutes looking around without anyone acknowledging us. I pulled one bike out of the rack simply to sit on it and see if it was the right size. At that point, an employee immediately approached me and said, "I don't want anyone pulling bikes out and sitting on them." There were no signs indicating that customers should not do this, and no one had spoken to us beforehand. I'm a 53-year-old professional, and I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. The way I was approached made me feel like I was a teenager causing problems in the store, when all I was trying to do was determine whether the bike fit me. First impressions matter. Instead of feeling welcomed as a potential customer, I felt reprimanded. A much better approach would have been to greet us when we came in, ask if we needed assistance, and politely explain your policy if customers aren't permitted to remove bikes from the rack themselves. UPDATE (08/01/2026): Don't waste your time visiting this place. Customer Service is horrible. We bought 2 e-bikes from Planetary Cycles this weekend. Go check them out! Your loss Eado Bike Co.! This is a neighborhood bike shop that also rents bikes. I recently rented a bike from there while visiting Houston. The folks running the shop are friendly and helpful. The bikes are in good working condition. And the location is convenient sitting along (1) a network of protected bike lanes to downtown Houston and (2) the Columbia Tap Rail Trail (which runs south to the Houston Zoo/ Rice University area). Came here with an emergency request. I had just finished a 180 mile ride, and I couldn't get my pedals off to pack my bike for the plane. I've been to Eado quite a few times in recent years. The staff is chill, the service is great, and the shop has one of the best selections of tools and supplies in town. Notably, the staff was extremely helpful when my wife was shopping for a new bike--spending a solid hour walking her through options, providing fit suggestions, and patiently answering her questions. This little gem is a little hard to find but once you've hit the F3 gym on Saint Charles, you've come to the right place. We decided to give EaDo Bike Company a try since we live inside the loop and this was very close to us. The first interaction with the bike company was through the phone and they were very amicable and informative. We headed out to their bike shop and we called them again to make sure we were at the right location and again they were very nice and pleasant to speak to. We came an hour before closing and we had two bikes to fix, one of which was done the same day and the other needed a little more work , whosever they had it ready the next day. They had all a lot of bike and bike accessories selection and there workshop looked very eclectic an artsy. Desmond was great, very helpful and very informative. Shoddy workmanship. I went in to have a rear rim replaced. Was texted that my bike was finished. Good so far. Rim looks great. As I'm walking out the door I see the rear tire's flat. So I walked back in. I asked them to pump it up. Come to find out the tube has been ruptured during the repair. So it's closing time and they have no time to replace the tube. OK, no worries. I'll be back in two days to pick it up. I'm thinking it's already paid for since I already settled up. I come back to pick up my bike and they told me they graciously knocked off the labor to replace the tube that they had blown. Now they nickel and dime me for another nine bucks for the tube. Really, you are willing to pay nine dollars to promote shoddy workmanship ? Best to go find a different bike shop. Yeesh! read more

Kinda disappointed. I went by a week and a half ago to get my bike serviced. They asked me to go online and join the "service list" then I would be emailed for service. I got an email that I would be the 48th bike. I mean....I understand they're busy, but wouldn't this warrant for getting another (or a few other) technicians? The Short version: This shop is fantastic. Great selection, great customer service and experience. The Long Version: I was looking for a bike that would fit my 6' 10" frame. I had called every bike shop I could find in the Houston Metro area, and nearly every one of them laughed at me, saying things like "we don't have bikes for normal people until October, and for you probably never". Fair enough, the pandemic is making this tough. When I called EaDo, gave them my height, I got a "wow! I bet you've been having a tough time finding anything. Not to worry, we've got a couple of bikes that might work well. Are you available this afternoon to come check them out?" When I arrived, I met Mike, who was thoughtful, kind, and genuinely wanted to find me something that would fit right. We tried two bikes, and the second one was *fantastic*. Like flying. I said "alright, I'll take it! What else do I need?" Mike walked me (very much a novice) through all of the various accessories worth considering, which was great. They held on to my bike for about a day to do a full safety inspection on it before sending it out the door, and 24 hours later, I had my new bike! Many of the bike shop staff I've interacted with were pushy, rude, snooty, or some combination. Mike and the other folks at EaDo were truly fantastic to work with. I can't thank these guys enough for fixing my tricycle and working within my budget. I bought a second hand adult trike to confidently take my toddler out for bike rides, but unfortunately the thing was assembled incorrectly. The easier solution would have been to dissemble then reassemble like a boxed up bike, but that was unfortunately as much as what I paid for the darn thing. These guys took pity on this mom and fixed what they could within my budget. My child and I have been riding this beast around the neighborhood for the past two weeks since EaDo Bike Co breathed new life into it and it's like night and day. This review is based solely on customer service interaction, I arrived as a walk in ready to spend hard earned Cash. I was Simply looking to browse in the hope they had a road bike that would suite me. Sign in front clearly stated they are appointment only out front, which is understandable with the pandemic. However when the gentlemen out front asked if he could help I advised him Im looking to shop. I was simply asked whats your budget. Well depends but range is roughly $600 - $900 Possibly. He looked at his tablet for all of 20 seconds and replied simply "naw". The interaction left me unsettled, it was flat out Rude. He didn't have to attempt to "assist", I would have made an appointment or called. I wouldn't spend money here. They get a NAW from me. You would do better to head over to Ham Cycles where they are much pleasant ,knowledgable and know how to interact with clientele. read more

Right before the pandemic: I went in for a tune-up. I purchased The Complete for a hundred bucks and a few parts....It was priced on a work order for about $140 and ready in about 3 days. On the 3rd day, it wasn't ready...it wasn't ready until about 1 and 1/2 weeks after I brought it in. I got two telephone calls to inform me of the delay. When I went to pick it up, i ended up paying about $30 more for an extra needed service. The work was fine, but still not fkn cool. I'm a regular customer and it doesn't matter if its inner tubes, service, or even advice; "EaDo" has been there for me in each occasion. That's why I say, "they keep me rolling". So I was trying to call them to ask if I need appt and it went directly to voice mail saying I can leave a text. I did that and never receive any response. So I went in store today and the guy told me I have to make appt through Email.... which is not indicating on their website.. also.. who make appt through email nowadays lol...basically I was turned away... If you're ever riding on the awful streets of East Downtown and catch a flat, EaDo Bike Co will take good care of you.This unfortunate scenario happened to me, but luckily the nice guys at the shop had me in and out within 15 mins. Parts and labor for a fixie were about $16 bucks. I did not have my wallet on me, but thankfully they accept Apple Pay. The service was not only fast, but friendly as well. I could've probably gotten out of there quicker had I not struck up a conversation with the guy who was replacing my tube. They offer bike rentals as well, which is great because it's located right off the trail. I hope that they consider staying open later on the last Friday of every month so that people who need to rent bikes for Critical Mass can return them afterwards instead of the following day. read more

I am a very happy and satisfied customer. I originally took my bike to get serviced to the place where I bought it 4 or 5 years ago. They right away told me I was looking at at least $250, and I might as well get a new bike. I left that shop and came directly to Eado, even though it's on the other side of town for me. I'm so glad I did. The gentleman took my bike and said he would email me with an estimate. I picked up my brand new looking bike 2weeks later and paid $190. New tubes, tires, shifters, chain and handlebars. Thorough cleaning and tune up. Thank you guys! I'm out riding my bike again and I love it! I'm so glad I got a second opinion. Announced my presence thru the iron gated door and some dude that looked half baked asks me what I needed. Told him I needed to have some spokes replaced and he said they didn't have any spokes, hmm ok no problem, I brought the 3 spokes with me. He said, in his half baked tone, "well..... we're about to go out now". I was like WTF? Why not get a new customer, spend the 15 minutes it takes to do the job and grow your business. Took the wheel over to Blue Line Bike Labs (my regular shop) just down the road on Telephone. The dude said it would be about an hour. This bike shop is in a great location, right on the east end bike trails. Cool space, and generally nice folks, but the service was a bit lacking. Dropped my bike off for a safety check and general tune up as it's been sitting for a while. They pumped up the tires and lubed the chain, but when two issues were identified, no solution was identified. When I asked further questions, the response was more or less "what do you want me to do about it." If You're looking for a quick day rental and a cruise, this is your spot. If you're looking for a crew who cares about your bike, and customer service, maybe try someplace else. read more
