I thought it was nice how the girl wasn't acting all weird. One of the better locations. She let my mom browsed comfortable, made suggestions when the time was right and asked questions, but wasn't following us around everywhere, gave us space, and didn't watch us over like a hawk (which is the worse thing to do to your customers unless they give you bad vibes). I stopped in here when I saw signs posted saying additional "30% off" selected items. I liked the fact that most of the locked cases were already open so I was free to browse and try on as many glasses on as I wanted without having to ASK the employee each time. I ended up picking up a pair of shades that was already discounted and got the additional 30% off applied also. Their return policy is pretty sweet too, you can return or exchange within 90 days with proof of purchase and original packaging. I'll be sure to keep both in a safe place in case I happen to change my mind OR if I find a better deal. =D This branch is the one that's located in neighborhood 2, next to the Fresh Choice/Chipotle entrance. Two specific employees at this store are extremely RUDE. The two girls, Janelle and Juliann (I hope I'm spelling that right) were the problem. These two were rude and disregarded customers, whom were purchasing sunglasses. Juliann told us that we could use our coupon on anything in the store. Janelle told Juliann that we couldn't use them on anything and then laughed about the situation in front of customers. Both of them were horribly unprofessional. When I asked the cashier Juliann for her name, she paused and rolled her eyes at me. The store probably has good employees, these two were not one of them. There's two Asian girls who work that are EXTREMELY RUDE. They act as if they work for Gucci or Hermes, but its the Great Mall.. let me emphasize that...THE GREAT MALL! They are disrespectful and dont customer service at all. They give dirty looks and dont assist at all. (There are 2 Sunglass Huts in the Great Mall. This review is for the one by the food court.) I did it. I bought a pair of more expensive (and hopefully higher quality) sunglasses. For forever, I've bought drugstore or Target sunglasses. They would constantly break or wouldn't fit quite right. Came in here one afternoon to browse, saw a pair I loved, but didn't buy them because I've never spent more than $20 on sunglasses. Called the next day to see if they were still there. The girl on the phone was super helpful and nice. She found them and placed them on hold for me. I went in that same day to buy them. They were a little big, and the sales people told me they could adjust them for me. Well, that was mostly true. They only have the ability to adjust them a certain way. The ear pieces were too long, and they weren't quite able to help them sit better on my face. They did tell me that Lenscrafters and Sunglass Hut are owned by the same company, and that I could take them to a Lenscrafters to see if they could adjust them better. But I ended up just having them adjusted at my optometrist's office. They were able to bend the ear pieces in a way that Sunglass Hut wasn't able to (hard to explain). So now they are not so loose on my face. A good thing to know is that you have 90 days to return them if you decide you don't like them (they just need to be in good condition) or if they don't fit right. This store does have great sales. . I got my pair of sunglasses more than 50% off, and now they have a buy one get one free sale. If anything, I'm going to need to stay away from this store so I won't be tempted to buy more! Customer service here was great. They suggest sunglasses for you, and make sure you're finding what you need. read more

Larger and more relaxed than most of the other mall locations. Most cases are unlocked and you can browse freely without being pounced on. Prices are better, too...this is somewhat of an outlet. Downside is that you don't get the exclusives like the Prada or Dolce & Gabbana ones. read more

I believe this is one of two locations within the The Great Mall, that is located right near the FOOD COURT. A nice location that is rather small compared to other Sunglass Huts I've been to, and crowded; which is to be expected. I came straight in and was greeted by a gentlemen with freshly cut hair identifying themselves as the Store Manager. I brought in some RayBan tech sunglasses along with original case and recept to exchange, since it was less than 90 days since the previous pair I had just exchanged. At first he said it would be fine, and a few minutes later as I was browsing for a new pair to use, he notified me that unfortunately the 90 days was only from the date of the initial purchase of the sunglasses, not from the date of the last exchange. I told the gentlmen that I was able to go to three other sunglass huts and exchange my previous pair of sunglasses with no issues at all from them. The store manager then informed me that was not what the policy allows and that he doesn't know why they honored the exchanges at those other locations, and that I just merely lucky. Suffice to say, I went straight to the second sunglass hut located within the same mall, and asked them if they would accept and do that same exchange. Not only did the two ladies accept the exchange, they were kind and courteous throughout the entire transaction, and within 10 minutes I was walking out a satisfied customer with a new pair of RayBans. I won't be returning to the Sunglass Hut located right next to the food court again. read more

Per Sunglass Huts return policy for online purchases 'we offer the convenience of MORE THAN 1600 locations to make your return or exchange as easy as possible' I beg to differ. I came in with an online purchase to return in store. I brought the receipt and sunglasses in their original packaging here thinking it would be a simple return. Well, it wasn't. The associate helping me obviously had NEVER processed an online return and had to read a step by step instruction sheet. He then called the other location at the mall to seek help. I heard the associate on the other end of the phone, advising him to just tell me to return it with the provided UPS label. So when he got off the phone he told me... The reason he couldn't process my return was bc 'our printer for return labels is out of toner'. Then they proceeded to tell me I could return it via UPS. Of course I know that's possible- but I want a faster return. The people working here are a joke and do not take customer service seriously. How do I know? Bc I went to the other SGH at Greatmall and the girl there also gave me the 'we ran out of toner, we can't process online returns'. So if you're trying to return an online order - both of the two locations at Greatmall are 'out of toner' and will tell you to mail it via UPS. read more

If u r lucky enough, you can find pretty good deals. Their clearance section is a hit or miss. Some items aren't worth the price hey ask for but some are really good deals. read more

(This is the store near chipotle) An associate named Sheri showed me some Maui Jim's. At first I wanted some oakleys but Sheri sold me on the Maui Jim's. Even though it was 150$ more expensive and I am a college student didn't matter. It felt great and I felt amazing with the Maui Jim's on. She didn't stalk me like some other store associates at other retail stores. She had a lot of other customers and she helped everyone of them. Amazing job!!! I am now hooked on my Maui Jim's and only pick Maui Jim's over any other brand thanks to Sheri. 90 day return policy is no longer needed cause I not going to return my sunglasses. I bought a pair of $225 Oakley sunglasses at Sunglass Hut recently. I wore them one time after taking them home to get a feel for the fit and concluded that the fit wasn't quite right. My receipt outlined a 30-day return policy so I went to this store to return them. The customer representative told me that a return was not possible because one of the nose pads was missing. I explained that I had only taken them out of the case one time so it must not have been seated well initially. She followed up by telling me that these sunglasses are "durable" and the nose pads "don't come out easily" even though this is exactly what happened. For a carrier of such high quality merchandise, I am very disappointed with the customer service and return policy. I was originally considering trading in the pair for something else, but I will not be purchasing any more sunglasses from here after this experience. read more

Customer service is horrible. The one by the food court. We purchased four pairs of sunglasses. They were anxious to help when we were purchasing and were told about the lifetime fitting/adjustments to the glasses. One pair of our glasses seemed to get loose around the ear piece. So we went on a Friday afternoon and requested them to "bend" the ear piece for a tighter fit. We were told that it was busy and they didn't have time to do it. I spoke to the supervisor, ironically the one who sold the four pairs to us, and she said no and to come back on a weekday. Or she told us we can go to their sister company to get adjusted. And their sister glass company was not in the mall. We walked out of the store and realized it was Friday and that is a WEEKDAY. So we went back in and finally the supervisor said to come back that day before the store closed (which was about 45 minutes later). We came back and it took her about 3 minutes to adjust. When we originally bought the glasses, one pair of the Coach glasses did not have a Coach case. They ran out and we were given a generic non-Coach glass case. After our adjustment on that Friday, we asked for a Coach case and the supervisor stated that she did not even have Coach cases for the non-discounted glasses. I stared at the back counter and there sat a stack of Coach cases. How disgusting to be lied right to your face. read more

Anyways back to the point, to my surprise the employee that was working was more than helpful! Kevin was so friendly, he didn't pressure me to buy anything, not desperate to make a sale at all. He took his time to walk me through all the ray bans and explained to me the sizing and what suits different face shapes etc. I also always wanted to know what the hell polarized meant but workers always intimidated me lol, but Kevin made me feel at home, I asked and he even had a little display to show the difference between polarized and non. He made sure that I would find the perfect pair, and I did! Not only that but they had a promo going on for $ off a second pair. I had to get myself a matching pair. we got all our 11 pairs of raybans in all different stores of sunglass hut in california and 2 of them are in milpitas branch. my birthday is comming up so we decided to buy another pair of raybans the lady whos in the store tonight looks like she doesnt want to help and find us more colors of the wayfares until my partner talk her to show us there back stock and we were right theres plenty of different colors in there back stocks . i was just wondering why wouldnt you want to sell your product specially if the customer is asking for more option it only means that they are interested in buying. she needs a lot training on how to upsell products and maybe they will be able to reach there sales goal. read more
