I recently stopped in to order an arrangement for a funeral service and ended up ordering two because my budget allowed me. And the arrangements came out so beautiful. They deliver their orders themselves and are on time. Sometimes it might be hard to reach them, but call in the morning before they get too busy arranging flowers. I wanted to give a good review but honestly, I did not like the service at all. They didn't answer the phone at all. I called several times regarding an order I placed. There's no voicemail either. The flower delivery was made, however, the flowers are NOT what I ordered. I would've at least appreciated a phone call to communicate that certain colors/flowers were unavailable if I had known the end product would be SO different. Okay so this is the second time that I had ordered flowers from Marleigh's. My son is in high school so I needed a corsage and boutonnière for a formal. Last year, everything from inquiring, ordering and receiving the beautiful flowers was spot on and exceptional. But this time around we had a bit of a hiccup.... So again inquiring was fine, I called they answered, I got the info I needed. So I stopped by the shop to make my order about a week before the event. I came in and a gentlemen took my order and wrote it on the carbon copy paper type receipt. Then precedes to ask a woman to take my payment because I wanted to pay ahead of time. I paid with cash because my son decided to pay for it with his money. My order cost $49, I handed her a $50 and said to keep the change. Then I get the copy of my receipt before I left. I didn't double check the receipt to say "Paid", I really wish I did.... Actually, I really wish I paid with a credit card too! So I went in this morning to pickup my order and they said that I owe $49. Apparently, the receipt said "pay at pickup", which I could barely read because it's on cc paper right?! I informed them that I had already paid on Monday when I made the order, but they didn't seem to remember. And I wasn't about to pay again! No, that doesn't make sense at all. So I was getting upset because they both didn't seem to remember anything, no matter what I said. I ordered on a Monday and picked up on a Friday, that's only 4 days apart... Luckily the gentleman said it was okay and I left. But I mean they should have notated that it was paid for to begin with, before handing me the receipt. I know it's close to Valentine's Day and it's super busy for them, but they need to be able to keep their orders straight. Details and changes all need to be notated and confirmed. I know it is a simple mistake and that it could happen, but damn that totally ruined my morning! I have 2 more years of ordering flowers for prom and graduation, etc. I don't want to have to go through something like this again. It's not a good feeling.... The boutonnière and corsage are beautiful and exactly what was ordered. My son and his date will enjoy them. But I just hope their process can be improved, so we can decide to return next year rest-assured for service with no hiccups. read more

I just discovered Marleigh's Floral in Milpitas and I am overjoyed with the arrangement they made for my mother in law's memorial. I went into the shop and met the owner who helped me decide on my flowers. He promised I would be very happy and I wasn't disappointed. Not too shabby. My husband ordered flowers online and of course, it looks nothing like the picture. Never order flowers online from a stock photo. You'll never get what you want unless you personally go in and choose the flowers they have in season and available in store. I'm not a fan of carnations, daisies, or ferns. I almost despise them. Especially if they cost $40-$50 for a vase *SMH* (shaking my head). After a day of sitting on my counter, I've actually really start to admire them. The flowers are fresh and vibrant. The arrangement was put together quite beautifully. Sure, I might not like the cost, but I can tell the florist really gave it some TLC (tender love and care). I selected a beautiful arrangement online and paid $70. They called me an hour before pick up to say they didn't have the delicate pink roses from the image and would have to use a different color. I was a little irritated but agreed to lavender roses instead. I said I definitely didn't want the other color they had which was hot pink as it would ruin the entire delicate look of the arrangement I ordered. I was shocked when I got there because the arrangement I was handed was 100% different than what I ordered. The roses were an ugly hot pink with bright green filler. There were no succulents like the picture and the roses were all closed up. When I questioned them they said the image wasn't selected by them and the succulent were too expensive for the arrangement I ordered even though they were in the picture. They told me the roses would open up but 4 days later they still did it open and started to wilt. I took the flowers because it was too late to get anything else. At least the base was nice and as pictured but everything else was completely different. I was very disappointed. I won't be back even though they are 5 minutes away. They need to update the website images if they can't actually get close to making the arrangements as pictured. I understand they won't be exact but they should at least be similar. read more

The one star is for correct day flower delivery, but I'm very disappointed by the total lack of resemblance to what I actually ordered. I ordered flowers (the upgraded version of one bouquet option) for delivery to my mother and it looks like she got a bouquet that does not look nearly as large or nice. On top of that, way too many carnations, a flower I strongly dislike, that were not even a flower in the arrangement I chose. I needed some last-minute birthday flowers for my sister's birthday, and called this store from overseas because it was close to her workplace. I got the impression that *maybe* the person on the phone wasn't actually in the store, and wanting to make sure the delivery could actually happen that same day, I asked if she was in the store at the moment. She said she was in the store, and she could ensure that delivery would happen that same day. I asked her again at the end of the call, and she said the delivery would happen, no problem. But the person on the phone wasn't in the store, so she couldn't really know if the delivery could happen. By the end of the call, I got the sense that she didn't know the area well. And sure enough, the flowers never arrived, and there was no contact by email to me or to my sister, who didn't receive her flowers on a major birthday (yes, my fault also for not planning well, I know). I called back again the next day, today. The person who answered the phone was clearly working in a call center, as I could hear other people taking calls in the background. I asked her if she was in Milpitas, and she said yes, she worked at Marleigh's. I said that she sounded like she was in a call center, and she said yes, she was, and she was working in Marleigh's -- and then after I pressed her, she admitted that she wasn't actually in Milpitas. So: Marleigh's Floral Design, it seems you are connected somehow to a national chain that cannot be trusted. They aren't present in your store, but say that they are -- and then make promises for deliveries that don't happen, and then don't communicate after that. I would have loved to reach the store myself to make the order, but your phone number goes somewhere else. It looks like locals who walk into your business are happy, from what I can see in other reviews -- great! It's too bad I was unable to order flowers with you. The contact number is a overseas company that just puts in orders therefore they cannot help you with ANYTHING else . They can leave a note so you may get called back. I was never called back. SCAM !!! Update: It has been 4 days an no one has called me back! I had to call the funeral service location to get confirmation. That is so disgraceful. I placed an order for their Desert Beauty Succulent Garden. Knowing that I only gave a day's advanced notice and that it would be a super busy holiday for them, I was a bit skeptical if they would even get the order done on time.
