Yikes! My experience pre-tan was wonderful. Britney is very cool. My review is based on the tan itself. I am very fair; red head with blue eyes. We agreed to light-medium. After the airbrush tan I sort of felt the coloring was super dark but figured that was just the bronzing aspect. Fast forward 12 hours and I am absolutely orange/dark. Because I am so fair, the airbrush tan is really unforgiving and I have so many awkward color patches. It's very unnatural looking and an obvious spray tan. I think as experienced as Britney was, I would trust she'd pick a color that was right for me. Instead I got an over tan and it's really terrible looking. PS I provided this feedback directly via text but did not receive a response. I'm so glad I found Sunless Revolution and I'm kicking myself for not find them sooner! I had a week long vacation planned and did not want to use a tanning bed. I had tried spray tans in the past, the type in the automated booth, and they were always uneven. I'm very fair skinned so the automated booths would always leave me with missed spots or visibly lighter areas which left me with a 'spray tanned look'. After reading the reviews here, I chose Sunless Revolution/Britteny. Britteny was informative, she asked about my past experiences, where I was going, the look I wanted, etc. The process was fast, easy and the price was so affordable as I would have paid 2-3x more going to tanning beds. When Britteny asked if I wanted a 'sun kissed look' I said I wanted to go darker and the day after my day I had a feeling of regret because I thought I was 'too dark' but after I was used to seeing myself with a tan, I'm VERY glad I went a bit darker. 'Darker' for me is probably a shade darker than 'sun kissed'. The tan has faded slowly and naturally where I am over a week after my visit and I have just the slightest bit of 'tan' left and the entire vacation, the tan lasted. I you do not trust my individual review, I had 3 friends I was traveling with not only comment that I looked like I just got back from vacation but they were asking why I did not tell them I was going because they wished they had also gotten a spray tan. read more

I booked custom spray tans for my bridal shower and my wedding a few years ago, and would gladly return for any special events. I am naturally fair skinned (like snow white) and had plenty of experience with self tanners, but never had a professional spray tan before. Needless to say, it was super simple and quick. My appointments were easy to make and they offer lots of discounts and promotions during different times/days of the week. The appointment itself is over in just a few minutes, and I was out in a jiffy. I chose the dark color, which was the perfect shade and tone for me. It didn't look absurd, and developed a natural color. The tan wore well, and faded evenly, in the expected amount of time. Just make sure you're well versed with the exfoliation and moisturization routines pre-appointment, as well as for upkeep/maintenance. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to get a sunless tan for a special or important occasion. I rarely get spray tans, but was getting married in November 2016 and needed my pale skin (my Mexican mom did not give me her beautiful skin) to look healthy. Bought the 2 custom spray tan package and tested it for my bachelorette. Everyone said it looked natural, and this was coming from people that I KNOW would tell me if I looked orange or fake. It stayed on about a week and faded slightly as it went - but nothing looked obvious when it went through the fading process. I called on very short notice and the co owner answered the phone and my questions.. I was so pleased they were able to fit me in on such short notice. She asked for my email over the phone and had the ball rolling in minutes so i was set when I walked in the door. I was greeted at 5:00 on the dot. I was super pleased that these ladies run on time as I'm running out of it as I'm leaving for my vacation. Janae was my tan expert and wasted no time allowing me to become ready and get to sprayin'. She was very kind and informative and the whole procedure went excellent. It only took about less than 20 mins- also - ladies: I did this in just undies and the custom spray tan doesn't stain! Don't panic if you wore good undies. :) parking is around 1.00-$1.25 for an hour on the street or in the market garage. I can't complain! The best advice I can give is to not do business with this place. They provide horrible service and they're really rude. Unfortunately, this was my first spray tan experience and I was excited to get it! The color of the tan was horrible and it looked cheap and fake. It also didn't last very long at all. Sadly I had bought a package and I kept procrastinating on using my second one because I wasn't satisfied and did want the tan. Two weeks before my package expired, I kept trying to call them to talk about it but no one was answering so I decided to drive there and talk to them in person. I asked if I could get a refund or another service but they told me they can't and only extended my package for another month even though they're website says they'd give a refund if a person is not completely satisfied (I posted a picture of their website). I had called them the day after my appointment because I didn't like the tan...but they told me to wait s couple of days. Having no options I scheduled another appointment a few days before it expired. I ended up not being able to make the appointment because I had a personal problem that came up at the same time. I figured it wasn't a big deal since the tan is paid for and I'd just lose the money for the tan. However, they ended up charging me $15 on top of that and refused to give me my money back even tho it stated in their email that you'd either lose a tan from a package OR be charged $15 but they did both! Save yourself the time, headache, and money and go somewhere else. Oh...and I'm pretty sure I heard one of the girls that work there say they give a discount if u leave a yelp review...so I wouldn't trust all the positive reviews for this business read more

Yesssss! Ok well first things first... I did get the GROUPON for this that was 11$ for first time customer etc! So I was just trying it. Honestly you cannot beat 11$.. so that being said I did go in not expecting much because yes I was also using the automated tan. So not a person physically spraying me just the machine similar to Mystic Ej in I used to love but they use the versa.. I did the level two and I am pretty fair. They had me sign a waiver etc then went over the directions for the machine how to stand and there are also directions on the wall. So super easy stuff. So after putting in my hair net and barrier cream I went in and did my spray you hit the button and it tells you what direction to face and all (like I said super easy stuff) It was pretty wet at first but the machine does do 4 drying passes front and back so that was awesome and the entire process took less than 15 minutes and I'm sure that will change if there were more people. Buttttt it was a holiday weekend and it was still fast! Anyway it's now the day after and besides my hands (which is always my problem area) I love it! It's dark and sexy! I'm really enjoying it. Also I want to add that they have a new client special that is 19$ which is awesome as well, and be sure to sign up for their newsletter. They have specials monthly or something like that. read more

I havnt tried the tan yet, but I was introduced to the salon by Janae. I have been getting waxed by Janae for months and I was so upset when she left her last place and followed her here. Thankfully I work in gaslamp so this is even MORE perfect. Shes so easy to chat to, that you instantly feel comfortable which is very important for those intimate "kitty" waxes. She uses hard wax which is so much easier on the skin and leaves me smooth for weeks Girl is amazing! If you need waxing downtown you seriously need to go see her, her prices are so reasonable and she has never done less then a perfect job for me. They informed me of all the pre-tanning procedures to follow before my appointment. Once I got there I was introduced to my tanning expert and she led me to the tanning room which had the equipment in it. I'm a noobie but it definitely seemed like advanced technology to me!!
