I'd never NEVER come to this location. If I could give zero stars I would. Mariah also removed my number from the main section so it would not send me an experience review follow up. Service was horrible. Disheartening. I walked in for the semi annual sale, Maria didn't explain anything I had to ask so many questions. I was interested in the photo facial and back in the day 7yrs ago they sold packets of the serum. They don't now, so I asked her what do you recommend she said anything on the wall........... I go back she doesn't tell me what to do..it's been years. The machine didn't work. I let her know she comes back and says well it's worked all day. She restarts it and it still doesn't turn on... again tells me it's been working all day..it says it's on... Eventually I left. She removed my number so they couldn't look me up at the next location so she wouldn't get a bad review. While she was able to look me up other locations weren't because she removed the number. I've gone for a few tans, but the dark color doesn't seem to look as dark as I hoped, and in addition I had to return several times to get a new spray tan. The cashier told me wow you've been here enough to have a monthly membership but I refused. The tans came off easily and didn't last like the old golden days when ITAN first opened. I don't know if they changed their spray tans. My skin is very light and I like color. Will I return of course because I've been loyal to Iran since they opened. I've been to many of their locations. I'm just not happy with the last two results. I do exfoliate my body, like I exfoliate my face. So I don't have a problem understanding a spray tan. read more

I have been with iTAN as a member for a while now and I am thoroughly impressed. One of the workers, I believe her name is Taylor has been amazing. She has delivered amazing customer service and has got me out of my comfort zone with my usual tan regimen. I have tried a new bronzer that I love and have also tried a different level of tan for the mystic. I was skeptical at first but she promised me I would love it, and I sure did. Also, she always made sure the booth was clean and room was stocked with all the necessary items. I always look forward to seeing her at mission valley but my usual spot is mission George because it's closer to home. So anytime I am thinking of spraying I give her a call at mission valley for recommendations/suggestions. I wish she worked at every location because she is amazing. read more

Any iTan location is horrible for spray tans! I paid $100 per month for nothing they always add on extra things that they say will make the solution dry faster or make it less orange and charge extra without telling me. It's such a scam how their business model is set up and the package deals are so dishonest. The spray tan always turns out low quality and I have really had enough of the broken machines, the locations not having the same equipment and red light photo facial or Beaty Angel machines are worthless. The locations have no fan or place to dry off. The regular solution takes 6 -8 hrs to develop! Don't waste your time and money here just buy your own spray tan equipment and solution and do it at home. read more

I would not recommend going here to this location. The dark haired girl named Rachael (who I believe is the manager because she told us she was the manager) was very short, rude and just mean to my mother who has ADHD & is a little slow. Rachel got very impatient with my mother when she asked for Rachael to explain certain questions she had. I don't see why this girl had to respond in such a way but as a customer for years myself I've cancelled my membership & my mother isn't getting a new one. I was in SD for a quick gig and was in desperate need of a tan. I was hesitant to go here due to the mixed reviews but decided my need for a tan outweighed my trepidation. I have to say after going and tanning at iTAN, what a bunch of whiney primadonna spoiled little brats these negative reviewers are. I *WISH* my local salon was as modern and clean as this place. Not only was my one time tan higher quality, it was literally a fraction of a dollar more expensive than my per tan price with my package deal at my regular salon. It's funny that I reviewed this place in 2013, because I didn't remember it... Fast forward 6 years and this place has the DIY wrap with infrared and Hydration Station with infrared. I have done hydration Station here twice. It's one of the hottest machines, like it gets warm quickly. It's conveniently located close to the bathroom. They also have an aqua massager Facial machine is the half dome style, not the folding type. Nice customer service. Lots of parking Open late like 11pm Nestled between a coffee house and a bevmo 4 stars, quite solid. Some of the machines feel a bit older and I think because it's popular the bathroom and machines aren't as immaculate as some other locations. But a solid spot to use spa products. i had one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had at itan mission valley, I am a Avid bed tanner but I wanted to try something new for my trip I am going on.. I had went in and spoke to Rob and I told him I was going on a trip and was terrified of spray tanning due to bad experiences before.. he was very informative on the mystic spray tan and was able to make me feel 100% enough to spray tan. My biggest fear was being orange and I told him that and he assured me that it would not be at all. He set me up with everything I could possibly need for my spray tan from the right shade to additives and made sure I was comfortable and set up 100% before entering the mystic booth. I work in customer service and I always judge others based off of that and he took the time to explain everything to me and gave me service with a smile. I was amazed by how knowledgeable he was ontop of helping me make sure I would not be orange. I will be returning just for him! read more

Walked in before heading DT for some activities, needed a quick tan before I headed out to some events. The sign in process was quick& easy. I came in for a Versa(I'm a Versa Regular), wanted to give the Mystic a try w/ extra bronze, but I was in white so I was skeptical about my outfit. The front desk staff was so sweet & informative (sorry didn't get her name but she wore glasses). Anyway she explained the mystic and that with white I was better off with the Versa so that's what I went with. The room is very well stocked (better than my local salon) everything from: wipes, nose plugs, & even booties for your feet?! Loved these btw! those are things my local sunspa doesn't include w/ my experience, but they did have your typical haircap, towel and blending cream. Any how they did lack a fan for after words which really helps when you're in a rush like I was. Staff is friendly, they deserve tips! Pricing is a-ok for monthly but not cheap for single sessions. There is a one week $29.99 try all the sun-spray-spa services but only one infrared service a day for your health. I opted for the sun-spray monthly $99 but its $79 for just the sun or just the spray. You get a bag with eye goggles, a blue towel, and a single lotion packet. Lotion packets are like $5 if you buy one individually. The spray booths are what I liked years ago back east. There is also spray by a technician by appointment Members can go to any iTAN location. Appointments not necessary, walk in, there may be a 0-15 minute wait. Remember to thank the girls cleaning and explaining all the products and services, a tip was declined but I insisted. The velcro sauna ish wrap was ok. Interested in the teeth whitening. Not sure I want to try the water lie down massage booth. Parking lot is a bit busy navigate it carefully. I visit this location monthly and recently I am disappointed with the lack of decorum and professionalism at the moment. I would rather not display my medical history for all to see but feel I must now due to the treatment I received. I have a medical condition which makes breathing difficult from exposure to burn pits in Iraq and also being in an explosion. The staff here on numerous occasions has told me they cannot serve me unless I don a mask...... which will be taken off moments later. I am very uncomfortable now visiting your location because of this treatment. I do not like being made feel like I am a second class citizen due to my disability. I have been a long time customer of ITAN at various locations and highly recommend any or all of them as they are the cleanest salons in my experience with the cleanest and most up-to-date machines and equipment. Additionally, their staff is always terrific and friendly. This salon is clean, but the customer service leaves a LOT to be desired. The bed I was assigned did not function properly, so I put my clothes back on so I could let the salon workers know. I've been here several times to use their "Hydration" machine, and Britney is usually there, super professional and works her ass off to make my experience there amazing. On a cloudy, rainy day in San Diego, decided to visit the nearest tanning salon, and what a treat!! It was Customer Appreciation Week, and boy did we get appreciated. The entire facility is clean and well kept, and an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. The fact that they supply everything (goggles, towels, water) you need to enjoy the experience, even if you show up empty handed (like we did, since we're visiting). Great recommendations on lotions and techniques to get the color you want. Personally, I got in a standard bed to start. Clean, roomy enough as well. Could tell the bulbs were fairly new. But then I hit the Hydration Station. 30 minutes of caccoon sauna-type action. 48 degrees Celsius with mist. Wow, intense but relaxing at the same time (be sure to ask for an extra towel). Great place, great location. Looking forward to my next visit out here, we'll definitely swing by for a touch up and a relaxing afternoon! read more

Great service and always helpful. I don't want to blame the girls for my ignorance and stupidity but this is my experience (pretty typical too). I am fair skinned and just started mystic tanning to prepare for a wedding I was in that week. The girls said that doing the "dark" mystic tan with enhancers would turn me brown. However, I was a walking oompa loompa the next day. It was horrible. So even if they recommend that going dark is okay, and you have a gut feeling you might turn orange, STICK WITH YOUR GUT! If anything, go medium but do it at least 3 days before an event! Either way, I really like this location! read more
