This facility originally focused on men's hormone treatment and later began accepting women. Unfortunately, in my experience, their understanding of female hormone balance was limited. Their main focus was on testosterone levels, which were increased to a point that caused significant side effects, while my estrogen remained well below normal. As a postmenopausal woman, I trusted that my treatment plan would be balanced and monitored for overall hormone health -- not just one hormone. However, despite my repeated concerns about hair shedding and my distress, the approach continued to be focused solely on gradually lowering testosterone and prescribing topical hair products containing minoxidil and finasteride. It was only after clear hair thinning became visible that any discussion of adjusting estrogen began. This was actually my second attempt with the clinic -- the first time, I thought stress might have been the cause of my hair loss. After giving it another chance under calmer life circumstances, the same pattern repeated. I hope the clinic invests in more education and protocols for women's hormone therapy, as hormone balance is complex and requires attention to estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone working together. I share this review as a caution for other women to ask detailed questions about how their hormone levels will be managed before starting treatment.

She also was able to get my vein on the first try for my iv and the first try to draw my blood for my plasma infusion. Zuri, and Kyle were also a part of the team who took care of me. The first day I kept calling my mom but she wasn't answering which worried me ( she was on a lot of pain meds) so I called the nurse ( Mo) and he answered. Went to check on my mom and asked why I wasn't answering. He assured me my mom was ok which made me feel better. All the day nurses that took care of my mom were great ( Erin, Jackie, Mo, Dana, Angie, Melissa) I slept there for the week and a half she was there. The night nurses were ok, only came in to take vitals, give medication and clean her ( I got the feeling that they weren't too thrilled when they had to clean her) which is understandable but my mom had a fractured tail bone so she was limited to what she could do but I'm still thankful for them. These people are charging cards whenever they want with no explanation of billing and no statement. I was able to contact a receptionist who told me that the billing department works remotely. The one thing he did that I thought would be helpful was to write me a referral to an Ortho in case it was broken. Well, after getting x-ray and confirming it was broken, I contacted this Ortho only to be told that they didn't work on hands!! S0 back to them to ask for referral that could actually help me. She told me doctor would decide and call me back. After waiting several hours, it was now 6 pm, I called back to be told form was there but that they were too busy to call me!! This location is one of 10 locations in broward county. It is located directly next to university hospital , off University drive in Tamarac. The office is beautiful and clean and I like that they don't have that horrendous barrier window that makes you feel as you are bothering the staff just to sign in. The office has coffee, juices and applesauce (good thinking for diabetic patients) available for consumption. My father met Dr Sondra Aikens who will be his new primary care doctor now that he is 65. His bedside manner is outstanding. He sat eye level with my dad and had patience with my dad's responses to his questions( my dad is forgetful and slow to respond). He even made some funny jokes along the way. He was very throughout in his assessment and explaining the plan of care with my dad and my self. All of the staff especially Katherine were exceptionally pleasant and made sure the follow up and instructions were understood. I am so grateful this will be my dad's new primary care physician. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for doctors who specialize in geriatrics!
