Rescheduled for next day. 2nd visit: back the next day, was 8, yes 8 minutes late, because I got lost. I even called alerting them that I would be a few minutes late. They CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT! I had to reschedule again, but I already had bad juju from the horrible customer service. After reading these comments, I will NOT be going back. This facility originally focused on men's hormone treatment and later began accepting women. Unfortunately, in my experience, their understanding of female hormone balance was limited. Their main focus was on testosterone levels, which were increased to a point that caused significant side effects, while my estrogen remained well below normal. As a postmenopausal woman, I trusted that my treatment plan would be balanced and monitored for overall hormone health -- not just one hormone. However, despite my repeated concerns about hair shedding and my distress, the approach continued to be focused solely on gradually lowering testosterone and prescribing topical hair products containing minoxidil and finasteride. It was only after clear hair thinning became visible that any discussion of adjusting estrogen began. This was actually my second attempt with the clinic -- the first time, I thought stress might have been the cause of my hair loss. After giving it another chance under calmer life circumstances, the same pattern repeated. I hope the clinic invests in more education and protocols for women's hormone therapy, as hormone balance is complex and requires attention to estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone working together. I share this review as a caution for other women to ask detailed questions about how their hormone levels will be managed before starting treatment.

Due to the nature of my procedure I was nervous to the point that my Bp was elevated. My Nurse Evie did everything to get it down. My surgeon gave me the choice to go to a established hospital or have the operation as outpatient at Deerfield. The last 3 operations in a hospital have all caused various problems. I have never been treated so well by the staff at this facility. The care was a one on one from the time I arrived until the time I was heading home. They are so professional and explained everything that was going to occur. They even followed up when I was home. If I could give more than a 5 star rating it would be a 10!! Please Note: This is quite embarrassing. This review should have been written for the Delray Beach Surgical Suites located in Delray Beach. Somehow early this morning I reviewed this facility by mistake. I have never been there. So Sorry for any inconvenience

I was given long forms via link to my phone to complete which was no easy considering my condition. But no one in waiting room so I thought it would be fast. After waiting 30 minutes in front waiting room, they stick me in a freezing room for another freezing cold room. After all this, the doctor comes in to explain that there's basically nothing he can do to help me bc they don't have an x-ray tech on staff and that I'd need to drive to another facility to have the x-ray! The one thing he did that I thought would be helpful was to write me a referral to an Ortho in case it was broken. Well, after getting x-ray and confirming it was broken, I contacted this Ortho only to be told that they didn't work on hands!! S0 back to them to ask for referral that could actually help me. She told me doctor would decide and call me back. After waiting several hours, it was now 6 pm, I called back to be told form was there but that they were too busy to call me!! Other than Comcast, this facility was probably the most inconsiderate and unprofessional that I've ever dealt with.

The first place I called did not take my insurance (United Healthcare thru my wife's employer). However, they were helpful and contacted a place called Sunlight Recovery, verified they took United, and called me back and gave me the number. The first thing I did was check the reviews, and all I found was a one-star review, here on Yelp. Thank God I didn't let that deter me. I checked in on October 2nd, 2017. I think they must have changed ownership and moved since that bad review because it was definitely not what I experienced. The facilities are very nice. They are housed in a modern medical center building across from Florida-Atlantic University on Glades Road, in Boca Raton, Florida. The first stage of their program (they call them "steps") is called detox/residential. This is the step where you actually stay at the Sunlight building. It can last anywhere from a few days to several weeks, depending on your situation. I was there for ten days before moving on to the next step. The actually recovery center for the patients is on the second floor. The accommodations are very nice. There's a day-room, kitchen/dining area, medical kiosk, and about 8 rooms. The kitchen area has a fridge, Keurig coffee machine, sink, and cabinets that they keep stocked with utensils and snacks, such as bananas, granola bars, cereal, condiments, etc. The day room has a 55" flat screen television that has Netflix, basic cable, and an X Box that they use for DVDs (and occasionally they let you play video games). They have a comfortable sofa and some padded lounge chairs. There is a patio outside that has a canopy, a ping-pong table, and table and chairs. You do not have free access to it, a tech or counselor has to accompany you outside to smoke cigarettes or just get some fresh air and play ping pong. They do not allow cell phones, however, they will allow you to have MP3 players and headphones. If you bring cigarettes with you, make sure they are sealed or they will hold them until you step down and move to what they call PHP (partial hospitalization phase). They do not allow vapes upstairs. The rooms are very nice. Each one has two single beds, and the linens are changed by the cleaning staff daily. Each room also has it's own flat screen TV and remote. The bathrooms are either shared by two adjacent rooms, or if you have a corner room, it will be for you and your roommate. The showers are nice and hot. The techs and nursing staff are professional and courteous. Most of the techs are in recovery, which I liked. They take your vitals several times per day, depending on your medical needs. The food is very good. They use a catering service and you can choose what you would like to eat. I do not eat meat, and they worked with me to accommodate my dietary requirements. As far as the recovery program itself, they have 3 groups per day, two hours each. You will also have an individual therapist assigned to you. Every couple of days they will have a 12-step meeting out on the patio, run by people in either AA or NA from the outside. Many are alumni. Once you have completed the in-patient phase and move to PHP, you will move out of the facility and into a room at the Florida House Experience, in Deerfield Beach. At that point you will attend 3-hour group therapy sessions in the morning from 9am-12pm, and two hour sessions in the afternoon, from 2pm-4pm at Sunlight Recovery, Monday through Friday. Sunlight provides transportation to and from the recovery center via passenger van. There are 12 step meetings nightly at Florida House from 7-8pm. I really felt the staff was great. They went out of their way to help me. Several times the food service they used forgot to send over a vegetarian meal for me. One time, the staff went and got me a Publix sub of my choosing, the other time, the tech actually went and got me a cheese pizza from Little Caesar's, paying out of his own pocket! Sunlight is a good recovery center, and I had a good experience. I am now 42 days sober, and they played a major roll in my success to this point. The staff, accommodations, and counseling I received were top notch. I definitely recommend it.
