She was speaking very fast and when I tried to ask her to slow down she continued to talk over me and even faster. It was like trying to communicate with a 16 year old girl. This has never happened to me at a pharmacy ever. It was as if she was only telling me the instructions because she had to. After she finished she told me everything she said was on the bottle. She also never iterated that I should spread out the two pills I'd be taking daily. I proceeded to read the instructions but still managed to take the medication wrong. I believe it was because of this incident. This was unprofessional as we are talking about medication here. I then called to ask if how I took the medication was ok and I know I the call was answered by the same woman doctor. She had no answer for me and again was rushing the conversation. Rather that she needed to call my doctor? This has never happened to me before. I believe a Pharmacist doctor should know the answer to these kinds of simple questions. She told me she would need to call my doctor and call me back. She did call back with decent news which was great. My only advise here is no matter how busy somewhere gets that the pharmacists take their job more seriously and take time in explaining how medication should be consumed properly. Also, it is unhealthy for her to be moving or talking that fast. No one should have to receive their medication this way!

When they finally acknowledged us They said they only had one prescription ready and she had more than that that she was supposed to pick up. It's stocked up, like actually stocked up and I found exactly what I needed for my trip at this time of night. They're fast to refill, and the status on the Walgreens app is always accurate. The pharmacy has a "small town" feel I appreciate; a feeling otherwise nonexistent in Los Angeles. It's nice to go to a store where they remember you. Also, this is a pharmacy, not a retail-restaurant-clothing-cobbler store with a pharmacy in the back. When my doctor has screwed up my prescription, or I've had complications with my insurance, they have bent over backwards to fix the issues. In particular the male pharmacist (manager) has always been most kind. I'll remember and add his name later. For these reasons, every month I drive by 2 Walgreens to patron this pharmacy.

The parking lot gets full very easily and quickly. If the lot is full, park in the front of the establishment. Beware, the front is street parking only and has a 2 hour time limit. The staff at the front are kind and helpful, and they have several people working behind the counter to sort inventory and make sure everything runs smoothly. They sometimes offer delivery services, which has been a big help on busy days. While they carry a selection of over-the-counter products like Solstice products, Tiger Balm, Cetaphil, and Vaseline, I do find that these items tend to be more expensive than at other stores, so I usually prefer to purchase them elsewhere. Instead we now have a splendid example of a superior, locally-owned business that is both professionally top-notch (I'm a geezer; I know what I'm talking about) and exquisitely attentive to its clientele. The pharmacist/owner, Bella, has a comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy, naturally, but is attuned to her customers. She has retained the staff who have been here for years, and brought in some outstanding people as needed. In short, even if I lived in Pasadena, I would still trek to Sierra Madre in order to get the sort of personal attention you receive here.
