If I could go with zero stars I would. Nothing but a string of bad customer service and rude personnel. Nothing is ever ready on time and frequently out of regular medicines that my Mom has been in for years. I call days in advance to refill a prescription, call before I head over and told the prescription won't be ready for hours. I wait several hours and go there and still not ready. I can't drive at night and my Mom can't drive. This prescription can only be picked up in a certain day so now she is without meds again for a day. I've been a loyal, very happy customer here for a couple years. Wonderful customer service, very knowledgeable, with patience for their patients. They're fast to refill, and the status on the Walgreens app is always accurate. The pharmacy has a "small town" feel I appreciate; a feeling otherwise nonexistent in Los Angeles. It's nice to go to a store where they remember you. Also, this is a pharmacy, not a retail-restaurant-clothing-cobbler store with a pharmacy in the back. When my doctor has screwed up my prescription, or I've had complications with my insurance, they have bent over backwards to fix the issues. In particular the male pharmacist (manager) has always been most kind. I'll remember and add his name later. For these reasons, every month I drive by 2 Walgreens to patron this pharmacy. read more

I went in to get a Covid vaccine which all over the website says it's free. I also called their Walgreens service center and they said it was free as well but when I went to go get it, the pharmacy said that it's not free you have to pay out-of-pocket they're no longer offering free shots for Covid because it's not a Mandated vaccine anymore I was turned away because I could not pay the out-of-pocket price and I do not have insurance and I called another Walgreens and they told me it's free and they made me a new appointment for the same day. No other questions were asked no other hassle so I don't understand why not all Walgreens are Following the same protocols read more

I'd give this Walgreens's pharmacy zero stars if it was possible. If you're perfectly healthy and don't require medicine soon or urgently, then by all means visit this location. Otherwise explore literally any other option. They have terrible customer service both in person and on the phone. They never refill prescriptions on time, the staff are incredibly rude and the manager Maureen Chang is an absolutely incompetent waste of breath. Horrible pharmacy and you'll likely wait an average of 45 minutes just to get help while the other staff members stand in the back with a thumb up their you know what. read more

When they tell you they are going to call your dr be sure to double check, it took me one minute to hear back from my dr. The pharmacy needed to call a second phone number, they did not do that to receive a return call! Their faxes from your dr can take 2 hours to receive...my family members who use Vons never have the problems I have! I am switching! They are under staffed! The new pharmacist said my medicine wasn't ready yet..I understand when she said there were just 2 of them working but what irritates me is when she said it wasn't process because I don't have insurance. Our family have been going to this Walgreen's Pharmacy since they opened and were happy with the service. Unfortunately since covid started it has gone downhill. They are ALWAYS understaffed. If you call the pharmacy you will be put on hold for a very long time and sometimes after waiting you get disconnected!! I sent in a refill request in December and they could only partially fill it and somehow the remainder was never followed through. Now I'm being told that it "should" be in their shipment for today "but they won't know until after 3p, because they just don't have the staff to put the orders away" ! Seriously get some more staff!!! With all the other Walgreen's that have closed you would think some of the staff from those could have gone to the remainder of the open ones!! read more

Usually I feel like there really isn't a point to write a review about a drugstore. Let's just face it, it's just a drugstore. What more can be said about it? Unless of course, you had a horrible experience. Or, in this case, an exceptional one. I came here yesterday to pick up a few items. There was only a handful of customers in the store. Staff was really friendly. Every time I passed by one of them, they all greeted me. The store was well stocked and not cluttered. The customer service is the reason why I give this place a 4-star. The cashier was extremely helpful. Lately I've been trying out extreme couponing that I saw posted on The Krazy Coupon Lady's website. This involves about 3 transactions and multiple coupons and vouchers good for the next purchase. When it was time to checkout (there was no wait), I told the guy that I needed 3 transactions and started telling him what I wanted done. When it was time for the 2nd transaction, I ran into a bit of an issue. Instead of being impatient and rolling his eyes (which I've seen from some CVS I've been to), he offered a suggestion and solved my problem! Outstanding customer service! Don't waste your time here, second time I attempted to fill my prescription and total fail. Staff not friendly and not helpful they didn't have my prescription and when I asked them to please contact my doctor they claimed my doctors office was closed for lunch when they hadn't even attempted to call, said I needed to come back in two hours,when I knew for sure the the office was not closed so I asked again to please call I really needed my medicine and it seemed to bother that I asked again so they gave me back my prescription and said to fill it elsewhere. Right when I left I called my doctors office and guess what?! They answered of course they did! just lazy staff that don't want to make an effort to help! No wonder that place always looks empty I will never return nor will I encourage any of my friends or family to fill their prescription there! read more

I'd like to write this review specifically for Paige and her excellent customer service. The day before returning to this location, very upset, I visited this Walgreens during my lunch break at work. I specifically asked whichever pharmacist, or pharma tech working, what I needed for my symptoms. She merely pointed to a wall full of different medications (it all might as well should've all been written in a foreign language given I'm on a time crunch) and insisted I go look there, although I explained to her my symptoms for some guidance. I didn't know where to start as to selecting the write medication, which is why I turned to the presumed experts behind the counter to begin with. I returned with Claritin and Mucinex and was told they are similar (which I learned they are not as similar as one might think). So, I went with the cheaper one and, to my dismay, found that it did not work. The next morning, I returned and explained my distress to Paige, as I attempted to buy Mucinex, and she handled the situation with the best service I've received from any pharmacy. She immediately made me aware that there are other options (e.g. Claritin D and Mucinex D) that better address my issues. Seeing that I was already upset I spent money on Claritin, she suggested the best route for me would be to buy the active ingredient that's in Claritin D separately and take it in conjunction with my Claritin, resulting in comparable desired effects. This was more affordable for me and I learned A LOT about these drugs thanks to Paige's excellent service, knowledge, patience, and creativity to ensure I'm happy, my wallet is happy, and I'm feeling better. I was sent here from City of Hope down the street to fill my mom's oral chemotherapy medication since they do Medicare Part B billing and City of Hope does not. Being a pharmacist myself, I expected a somewhat long and arduous process before I would eventually have the medication in my hand, as dealing with insurances and Medicare is not always the easiest thing. However, my experience turned out to be extremely pleasant. The initial intake took some time as expected, but the staff was able to get me what I needed quickly and pleasantly. 5 stars from a fellow pharmacist! I'll be back in the future. Nice small clean store, easy parking, excellent customer service, what's not to like? Note: this is not the Walgreens in the Flame Broiler/Sprouts square as one reviewer below stated. My wife and moved to Monrovia recently and are expecting, and because of being pregnant my wife needed a TDAP vaccine. When we walked up to the counter at the East Huntington Monrovia Walgreens we were greeted by not one, but two very friendly pharmacists. Veronica took down my wife's info in a cordial way. Then later, Lindsey (sp?) was very nice to my wife, talking to her about the future baby etc (note: if you want to get on my good side, be nice to my wife). The icing on the cake was when Lindsey gave my wife the shot and apparently it didn't hurt! We'll be back! read more

I switched to this Walgreens because the one on Myrtle is awful about contacting your doctor's office when a refill needs an approval from your doctor's office. I've had no issues with this one. Every single time- Walgreens is the worst drug store experience every. They are slow, don't know how to use their computers, and they don't have a dedicated "drop off" line. I am forced to use them. If you have a choice- go to CVS on Campus and Foothill. They were awesome. read more

I ordered business cards online same day service. Upon opening the box, saw that the cards were cut off center with the border where the cut was wrong very visibly showing. This also made the information print crooked. The email address was hardly printed and looked like a mistake. The lettering is small, it's impossible to read within arms length. The clerk claimed it was impossible to fix. I couldn't get a full refund without returning all of the cards and that there was no way to have them corrected. They were needed for an event immediately. He cut off the bad parts (and the cut was crooked, too.) Was told I could only get partial refund for pitiful product. Clerk acted put out for bringing attention to the unacceptable quality. Was put on hold for lengthy amount of time, getting transferred and put on hold multiple times while waiting to file a complaint with the customer service number. I spoke with one very nice woman who took down my information. Hopefully I will get a response! read more

This is probably the worst pharmacy I've ever been to i go there some times when I am too far from my usual pharmacy. I take antidepressants and adderall and use to buy it here and the service was fine. But now they freak out every time i give them the adderall prescription. Its the new staff, that seems to be the problem as i stated above a year ago i had no problems. Now they even asked me for ID, i don't review pharmacies, but i felt the need to say something. I initially started going to this pharmacy after good experience with the customer service at other Walgreen's. This pharmacy also has a convenient drive thru. Recently, the customer service has changed at this pharmacy. The pharmacy informed me the prescription would be filled in one day. It took much longer than necessary to fill a prescription (about 2 weeks). Initially, the pharmacy did not inform me about the delay in my prescription, and I made many unnecessary drives to try to pick up the medication. Later, the pharmacy used automated recordings to convey messages about the status of prescriptions. Instead of contacting the doctor's office by phone, they relied exclusively on fax (which was ineffective). When they received the ok from the doctor, they found that they were out of medication and had to reorder. I would not recommend this pharmacy as a first choice, as there are many other pharmacies that fill prescriptions more promptly, are more customer-oriented and efficient. read more
