When we explained that we could not afford that and asked them to keep him comfortable only until morning while we looked for another option, we were quoted $4,000 for just 12 hours. What I will never forget is standing there watching our cat suffer while we felt like everything depended on whether we could immediately agree to pay thousands of dollars. When people bring a sick pet to an emergency hospital in the middle of the night, they are scared and vulnerable. They should feel that their animal's pain comes first -- not that they are being financially cornered at the worst possible moment. Our experience here was absolutely terrible. Example: my male cat had a life threatening UTI event. Their post-emergency vet was amazing: Dr Andrea shared information on a University program dedicated to helping previously outdoor cats successfully transition to being indoor-only cats (his UTI was due to extreme stress around moving & no longer being able to be outside), and brought so much expertise to our situation she literally saved his life. I really value their transparency around costs, and appreciate always being able to get an appointment. If you're new to the area and are hesitant about who to try for your furry friends, stop your search. Run, do not walk, to this vets.

They are always so polite and work as hard as they can to help every animal that comes in. Service is based on severity of an animals condition, same as a human hospital. Some people get so mad because they have to wait, sometimes for hours. But take a minute to think about it. If you have a pet that was hit by a car and needed immediate medical attention, would YOU want to wait until it was your turn! While watching them help another animal that maybe had a broken leg. I GET IT, as an avid pet owner who loves her dogs, no one wants them to be in pain! I have gone there with a life emergency and was seen right away with surgery required. Other times I have had to wait for hours. I am good with it either way! Folks complain about the cost, yep, it's expensive but again, how much does it cost to go to the emergency room for humans? Plus, most of the people that work here also work at regular vet locations. Do I recommend them? You bet I do!!
