I have the pleasure of getting excellent care from Tara Harte since a year ago. She is the best;…read morevery knowledgeable, professional and extremely kind. I don't go to anyone but her as I have never had any PT know what she knows. The only bad thing at this location is the loud noise factor. When people do not have clients they talk very loud and laugh loud so that the rest of us trying to work with our therapist cannot be relaxed, it's very disconcerting. It is certainly no way to run a professional business. BE QUIET! That is the reason for four stars. Tara rates five stars.

No problem, they tilt in so I don't have to go outside, etc. I'm almost done and I notice that there's a tiny gap at the top of one of the windows where it didn't quite make it all the way up. Hmmm....what to do. Oh, I know. Get on a kitchen chair and just push it up the rest of the way. Note that my kitchen chairs are on wheels, and they rock backwards so you can kick back. As I was rolling the chair up to the wall, I remember thinking this perhaps wasn't a good idea. Then, nah, it will only be a second, I'll be fine. You can guess what happened next: The chair started to roll, and so I grabbed the window sill to stop it, then the chair tilted backwards and I'm on the floor, with one sore shoulder. FDC took me to Urgent Care where they declared it a sprain, two weeks later Ortho announces it's a broken bone, and six weeks after that I'm sent to PT for 'stretching'. So off I go to Excel Physical Therapy. They're in the old Bell Telephone Building in between the old Viking Inn and St. Colman's Catholic church on Lancaster Ave. There's a lot accessible from Lancaster and also from Church Road. They're on the second floor, the facility is clean, bright and open. I'm evaluated by Andrew Bacon, who becomes my regular PT. Andrew was the consummate clinician: professional, friendly, careful and thorough. He gave me increasingly challenging activities to do during sessions and at home, and six weeks later I'm nearly pain free. I hope I never have to go back, because PT is not fun, however I'm so glad to have worked with Andrew to get myself back to who I was.

We started using Delco Speech Center for feeding therapy when my daughter was eight months old and…read moreour experience has been nothing short of wonderful. Once we reached out we were quickly paired with a therapist whose skills and interests best matched our child's needs. We immediately scheduled a consultation which took place in our home and began weekly sessions (also in home). Having a therapist provide services in a setting most comfortable and natural for our child has made this experience most beneficial for our daughter. She didn't have to take time to acquaint and adjust to a new setting and instead was able to immediately focus on learning and bonding with our therapist. Our therapist is skillful and passionate. She takes care to listen, validate and address our concerns. She provides productive feedback and truly a large part of our experience (and child's success) has been parent education. Our sensitivity and concern is handled with tact and care; helping us gain confidence and hope for our child and her future. I cannot recommend Delco Speech Center enough and thank them immensely.

Eileen is absolutely wonderful! I would highly recommend her to anyone who is searching for a SLP…read morefor their child. She has really gone above and beyond for our daughter, reaching out to her preschool teacher to provide education about how her speech goals can be supported in the classroom, giving us rationale behind the interventions and approaches she is using with our daughter, and just generally being a kind and approachable human :) It's also great that she offers home visits -- for families where a kid might just be more comfortable in their own environment, it's wonderful that she can offer this. She's also great at keeping our preschool-age daughter engaged in sessions, and my daughter really looks forward to meeting with her weekly. We've been working with Eileen for about 2 months and have seen progress in our daughter's articulation already. Eileen is compassionate, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable in her subject area. She's also a mom herself and is very understanding about the craziness of life and making sessions work in a practical way for your family. I could go on and on, but would definitely recommend Eileen to any friend (or stranger!) who is looking to be connected to an excellent speech and language pathologist.
