She may ask you to come weekly and although it can be pricey I quickly was able to visit less frequently once I began seeing results. Now I go once a month and still maintain positive results. Definitely try her out if you are looking for authentic acupuncture, herbs or Tai Chi.

I saw him weekly for about 10 weeks, and due to some unexpected events I haven't been able to return, but the impact of his treatments has stayed with me. I had my radial head removed and was dealing with severe nerve damage in my arm and hand. At the time, I knew his treatments were helping with inflammation and sensitivity, but I didn't fully realize how much progress I had made until recently. A week ago someone commented, "Wow, you're using that arm a lot more," and it finally clicked. In a support group for radial head injuries, someone asked about supination, and I suddenly realized I could relate in a completely new way. For almost four years, I couldn't rotate my hand palm-up or palm-down. As I was sharing my story, I looked down and noticed my palm was face down--something I hadn't been able to do for years. I was upset and angered by this behavior, particularly as it was followed by two written attempts to further influence me. Those were removed immediately upon my stating if the harassment campaign didn't cease, I would report the incidents to Yelp. Since the business owner responded by removing his messages to me, I'm going on memory here, but these were long, rambling messages insisting I was damaging the lives of not only his office staff, but of their families and children. The hyper drama of this in relation to the review, of an attempt to make an appointment- not a condemnation of an actual treatment experience, was enough to make me wonder if the man was out of his mind and fear what else he might do if I didn't bend to his wishes. A frightening and upsetting experience due to someone who doesn't have things in perspective. If you don't want reviews like this, stop behaving like someone who might pose a threat.

She takes the time to figure out what factors are contributing to your problem and treats the ailment's source. Most pharmaceutical interventions treat only symptoms. Because of this, her treatment may take longer than you want or than you expect, but stick with it! If you do everything she says you will eventually feel better and for me it seems to be a more lasting and true wellness than would be possible without acupuncture. She is also a more comprehensive acupuncturist than many in the area. She doesn't just stick needles where you feel pain, she treats your body like it is one connected entity (because it is!), And treats the whole problem.

I could walk my dogs, shop in big box stores and NOT be in pain. Through Dr Yang's unique acupuncture treatment (treating the whole body) I was back to me. Dr Yang encouraged me to come in monthly for maintenance treatments. I didn't listen. I stopped acupuncture for 2.5 years, thinking I was cured forever and I did well for about 1.5 years and then the symptoms slowly began to return. I was struggling with a lot; sleeplessness, joint pain, lifelong trauma, but what lead me to make an appointment was a rash that seemed to appear out of nowhere were around my eyes that was painful and very noticeable. I struggled for about 6 months, bought so so many creams and soaps and by the time I made an appointment with Six Fishes I was traveling to and from work with 4 creams in my backpack and applying through the day for relief. I had a pain in my upper left abdomen that came and went and it was relieved during that acupuncture session. My breathing is vastly improved (especially noticeable after running or while singing); my periods are far less painful; my circulation to my hands and feet vastly improved for about a week afterwards -- I do self-massage to help it along; and the muscles in my stomach are no longer working so hard to stabilize my torso. I think I had an unusually positive initial response. I did some follow-up appointments, which were still helpful, but certainly not as transformative as that first one. But because the acupuncture got my body feeling so much better, I noticed that dairy was really impacting my digestion. Also, Melody showed me several daily self-massages. This doctor (a lady, not Dr. Gu) asked a lot of good questions about my neck pain and had me lie face down on a massage table. She first massaged the neck muscles/tendons, and before I knew it, nine needles were in the right region. No pain whatsoever when the needles came in.
