Got my nails done today. If you're doing nail art definitely make an appointment in advance with Mimi. I did acrylic with designs. She also did 3D art it was $80 in total for the refil, ombré/French, gems, and the 3D. The quality looks great! I also got a pedicure a few days prior. I really liked my pedi. Both my bf and I combined for a pedi was $125. I got gel so of course that was an additional charge. We did the hot stone massage option. They massaged for a long time so it felt good and relaxing. I have to go back to get my gems added back on cause two of them fell off after a few hours. But it's not a big deal Mimi was more than happy to fix them. I came here just to try a new nail salon nearby and I heard the owner used to work for a salon in Ashburn that I've been to before. They are under new management so they were also offering a discount to customers. There are multiple reasons for the low rating. First, I had an appointment at 11 and they open at 11. The appointment was with the owner (or one of the owners as she claims it's a family business). Not only were they closed still at 11, lights still off, door locked, not a person inside. It wasn't until I called and texted to see what was going on as there were other customers waiting outside too. They said they are driving. It was 11:10 till someone showed up and opened the doors. The owner that I had an appointment with was still not there. When she finally did arrive she didn't even rush to get to me and took her time and honestly didn't even know she had an appointment till I said something for the 3rd time. I didn't get serviced till 11:30. She didn't apologized that she was late or that the salon wasn't open at 11 even after I mentioned it to her she just laughed. It was not a communication issue she understood exactly what I was saying. Next they don't have all the colors that they show in their books. I had to choose a new color twice b/c they didn't have it. I didn't want to waste anymore time and just stuck with the color they offered and they thought it was close to what I wanted. Next, since this is under new management they didn't bother getting new equipment, their chairs didn't work properly and was clearly from the previous owners. I will not be recommending this place to anyone. What kind of owner doesn't apologize for wasting a customers time and expecting a tip. The only positive thing I have to say is that the place overall looked clean and decent size for space. Mani and pedi were decent but the experience overall was terrible for a first time customer. read more

I will definitely not return. Besides taking skin off during my pedicure (no wonder it hurt) I was convinced to have a 30 min. Massage. I could only stand 15 min. I didn't think it was possible to have a bad massage. It is. I told the apparent manager that the oil was old (rancid) she commenced to tell me it was "lavender" oil. I know the difference. Made an appointment at 4:00 for three of us. Well, they were only 2 members of the staff working at the moment. There were three customers what the two workers were still working on. We ended up waiting for 20+ mins for two of us to start then another 10 mins or so for the other one of us to start. They told me all staff members went on vacation except two of them who were working. Yes, it's ok but they should have told us that there were only two of them working and I would have gone somewhere else. They are very nice and facility is clean and there service is great but wish I didn't have to wait so long. What's the point of making an appointment if I have to wait 20-30 mins anyways. read more

So this is my second time at this salon and I don't think I'll be coming back. My experience this time wasn't absolutely horrible but it was quite bad. I came with a friend and I was immediately rushed to a table to get started. I appreciate quick work but only if it's able to be done well and I don't believe my nails were done well. I got an SNS manicure and it was... okay. The technician went straight into filing my nails which I understand, my nails were on the shorter side coming in already. The thing that bothered me was that it was a file that was obviously already used and she did not go into clean up my cuticles at all. She then went in with the electric filer to clean them up more and then straight into the SNS powder process. The whole time I'm thinking it's alright to skip over the cuticles it's not THAT important but it just keeps going downhill from there. While brushing off the excess powder from my fingers for the brush that she uses clearly has remnants of the last color (which was red) and she picked some of it out of the brush before going in on my nails. She does this throughout the whole process and then takes a big kabuki brush to my whole hand to get most of the powder off. At this point there is a paper towel on the table under my had that was already used before. She tells me to wash my hands and then shakes the paper towel into the trash and puts it back under the table to be used again. After this she uses the same big kabuki brush that she used on my hand to clean off the table! I don't know if this is just me but I am kind of shocked! I thought it was EXTREMELY unsanitary . She filed my nails again with an old styrofoam filer and when one didn't have enough grit, she pulled out another that had also been used before. Not even a new one. She finished off my nails with the electric filer again and then a top coat. My nails are actually quite mediocre. My already short nails were filed EXTREMELY short and I know there isn't much to be done with short nails but my technician didn't even ask me if I wanted them shorter or what shape I would like. On top of that there are clear remnants of the top coat on my fingers under my nails and the filing around my nails is pretty rough. They're too short to file right now so I'm just going to have to keep them like this until they are long enough. I am just overall seriously disappointed. It costed me $45 and the quality just isn't there. I don't know if they just wanted me to get in and get out but I finished a whole 15 minutes before my friend. I was going to be waiting anyways why not maybe put a little more time into them? I'm just disappointed in it all. I attached pictures but I am just so unhappy with my experience. I walked in on a Friday night. The lady pressured me into getting Powder nails. She wouldn't listen to what i wanted Done. Kept talking over me when I said no to powder nails. I was Intending to get a Gel mani done. I gave in and let her do the powder nails. 2 HOURS later and they weren't even what i wanted Done. The shape was off. She was super pushy, rough, not gentle in any way, almost broke my skin while filing ON TOP OF MY FINGER. She got irritated when I'd ask her to reshape a nail. Fast forward the 2 hrs. NO CUTICAL CARE OR HAND MASSAGE WAS DONE. I spent $55 for tip/powder nails!!!! Found out later from her that Gel was CHEAPER than Powder nails. Which is why she pressured me into gettinf them. $55 dollars later and didn't feel relaxed or even happy. COMPLETE RIP OFF. Service, approach, attitude, and care was UNACCEPTABLE. WONT BE BACK. Was at a store nearby and decided to try. When I walked in, two people were adding the thinning solution to the polishes they have on the wall. That should've been my first sign. I was getting a new full set. It took about 2 1/2 hours and the nail tech cut me 5 times, two times on the same finger. Blamed it on me wanting them to be square. Not only did she round the edges out after I asked politely not to, they are extremely crooked on the tops. They are also veryyyyyy thin. I got a mani/pedi from here approximately two weeks ago. The pedicure was more than satisfactory. Nothing special but nothing lacking either. The massage was great. The problem I have is with the service and quality of the acrylic set I got. The tips used were too wide, after I asked several times for the next size down. Instead the tech used cuticle nippers to trim the sides of the larger tips. My hands and cuticles got absolutely NO care or treatment. Unless you take into consideration the numerous times my cuticles were caught by the drill. The tech also had every intention of leaving large globs of acrylic on the underside of my nails, telling me "it's just glue." It definitely wasn't glue, I know the difference. I had her use the small drill bit to get *most* of it off. Overall, pedi was fine. I won't be back because of the way I was treated during the manicure. There was absolutely no attention to detail and it shows on the final product. read more
