I needed a wig for an upcoming vacation in March and they were able to get a $2500 Remy 20 inch long wig quickly . I initially liked the wig, but it needed highlights and a haircut. Caryn performed the work and unfortunately the results were terrible. The highlights were not as I requested and she thinned the hair so much that it lost its fullness and beauty. The hair cut was difficult to style and nothing like the simple face framing cut I've had for over 20 yrs. When I returned the next day, I explained what was wrong and that I couldn't wear the wig. To her credit, Caryn credited the cost of the Remy wig towards a custom human hair wig, which acknowledged that the work done on the Remy wig was not executed correctly. She assured me that the custom human hair wig. would be the answer and said,"I know exactly what you want. Don't worry." I trusted her and waited 8 weeks for the wig.When it arrived in May the color was completely wrong. I had requested a medium brown base with golden blonde highlights. Instead, I received very light brown base with overly blonde highlights. I was extremely upset and nervous, I could have cried. Caryn assured me she could fix it. She recolored the wig, adjusted highlights, and cut it. Unfortunately , the result was just as disappointing as the first wig. Déjà vu . The haircut was again difficult to style, color was still wrong and the highlights looked unnatural . It honestly looked like a bad at-home dye job. I thought it would be different this time but Caryn is very persuasive and I fell for it. . I felt like I was stuck with a wig I really didn't like. Also, I was charged an extra $895 for the extra length over 16 inches which was never told to me until the wig was already colored and cut. At that point, I couldn't reconsider the purchase. In total, I spent $3400 on a wig I don't feel comfortable wearing. I consulted another wig specialist to see whether it could be corrected, but the color, cut, and overall execution could not. The wig cap construction was disappointing. The lace part area in the front was 3-4 inches wide which limited how I styled the hair . Caryn knew I liked a deep side part The entire cap construction was cheaply made in order to save money. It's not what you expect for a custom $3400 wig. I understand that Caryn felt she did a lot of work on the wig , thought it looked good and that I left happy. However, you often don't do a full evaluation of the color, cut and style until you wear the wig home and see it in different lighting and try to style it yourself. When I saw it at home , the color looked completely different andI wasn't going back for a 4th time.There was nothing else to be done. Caryn made that clear to me.I had to accept that the wig was never going to be what I envisioned. Based on my experience, I would not recommend JMC for styling long hair (face framing etc) ,customized color work and custom human hair wigs. My hair is so important to me since I lost it 20 years ago. I wanted to feel beautiful and happy instead I was devastated and very stressed.The.custom human hair wig fell far short of what I was promised and I regret not taking my business elsewhere.

When I got there they treated me and my son super nice they allowed him to walk around and were very patient. They told me I would be able to leave with my hair blow dried if I got my haircut. I said ok since at first I didn't mind not paying for the haircut or blow dry but they said I would deserve to have that. Well around 2-3 pm they rushed towards the end ended up just blow drying my bangs and front portion said I had good products to do the rest of blow dry on my own. That she had someone else come in and didn't have time to have me fully blow dried and said she owes me a haircut layers next time. Everything was fine up until the end. So I paid 280 plus I tipped 40 almost 320 for an incomplete service and not leave with my hair like I deserved when I walked out. It was misleading in the end so I won't be coming back. Everything else was ok just the mere fact that I go to a salon to get my hair done for a partial and haircut yet they do a half job towards the end knowing how hard it is to bring a baby. I was disappointed that I had to rush home to blow dry the rest of my hair when I paid $320 to have them Do it. Please don't do this to customers if you don't have time or let them reschedule when they want to avoid these things.
