The snowballs are really good, they don't hold back on giving you enough juice and they are super affordable. This may be the only place in town that you can get a snow ball for $2 and some change, and the pictured snowball is a small. Can't beat that! Not to mention they have great sugar free flavors. I've been trying to find watch my sugar intake so I ordered the wedding cake and strawberry flavor, and I really couldn't tell the difference. It's my new go to snowball flavor. read more

My sister had told me about this place a few months ago but they hadn't reopened yet. I was really skeptical when my sister guided us there today because I find a lot of places Ice is too crunchy rather than fluffy. I ended up really happy, Sunny's did not disappoint. On first impression, Sunny's looks like an old check cashing place or something. But honestly, that doesn't matter. This is a great spot to grab a good priced snoball. My son had a small strawberry/cherry snoball stuffed with vanilla soft serve (they also have froyo, and other flavors too!) I had blackberry, mango & tigers blood stuffed with vanilla soft serve, and my sister a strawberry snoball. On all accounts the ice was nice and fluffy rather than crunchy (my preference), and the flavors were nice and rich without being too sweet. They had the perfect sweetness to it. In total the cost was $6 and some change. Definitely coming back. read more

Refreshing and delicious! I'll start off by saying the ice was more like sno cone ice to me. It was harder and clumpier-like the sno cones I'd get from the ice cream man when I was younger. It's not bad, just not as smooth as some other places. With that said, the syrups are amazing! I got cotton candy and mango and it was just what I needed on a hot and humid day. Flavor wise, it was the best cotton candy sno ball I've had. The portions are also gigantic and prices are incredibly low-I ordered a small and was given a very large cup for just $1.50. We arrived when they just opened (on the dot because we were that desperate for a sno ball) so it wasn't crowded yet, but you could tell it was getting busy given the amount of people that began to walk in a few minutes after they opened. The treats are all very good and reasonably priced. This is the first time that I've had the Water Ice. It was really good. Of course anything would have been after waiting over 45 minutes in line to order and another 10 to get our order. Our friends had to leave before they even made it to the counter. They were not the only ones. The staff worked at a snail's pace the entire time. No communication. No apologies. I can't say that I won't be back because we live around the corner and our six year old loves it. But if there is a line at all I will drive to Casey's in Metairie. It'll be faster. read more

I can't believe I am the first to review this spot. Sunny's is famous for its soft serve ice cream which to me is funny because its usually made somewhere else but somehow theres is AMAZING. Their snoballs are lacking and more like sno cone ice according to new orleans snoballs standards in other words its a bit crunchy and not the super powdery snowy ice like most are used to. the syrups are ok but ask for light syrup unless you want to go into a diabetic coma they like to pour heavy here. The snoballs run about regular prices but their small is equal to a Pandora's medium at $1.10. If you are in Kenna and don't want to treck into the city it's a perfectly good substitute but I would honestly say stick with the ice cream here. read more

Growing up in Kenner partly, this was my neighborhood son-ball stand , known for huge soft ice not that crunchy half shaved stuff, they have snowiz and you can tell the smooth ice , you get like a 20oz small for $1.10 we take the whole football team hear after games an for $20 can get all the kids something, we go to other local places an you get a 6oz for $1.90 an the syrup is not as good, other places, I will say they have had same menu pretty much all my life With the exception of a couple new flavors they have not jumped on the new bandwagon with the overpriced fancy decorated snowballs for -$7.00 seven dollars each (yet ) which I'm thankful for because sometimes you just want to get the football team a little reward and be able to get all the kids something so it's very good for a budget but I also truly think that It is the best value in the kenner area read more

Great place but poor management policies a place so well established should move into the new age and accept credit/debit cards. Many people have direct deposit and such now so those dont carry cash. My rant stems from an incident today that happened to my wife and 2yr old daughter. She goes in orders her ice cream not aware then in a small sign on the back wall that is about 3-4 inches wide saying cash only but has all kinds of colors ran across it and such. They then hand my wife and child there ice cream and my wife then hands my child hers. Then when she goes to pay thats when they tell her it is cash only and they have to take the ice cream back. Cashier asked the manager if she could at least give my child the ice cream since it was made already and didnt make sense to waste it. Manager quickly replied no and took the ice cream and threw in it the trash can. I am sorry but that is poor business I have ran and managed several successful businesses and I never do something like that to a child. So they rather gain nothing and make a child upset than make the child happy. They have already lost the profit to be made of the item at least they could have gotten some good karma. Things that should have been done different. 1. Post a proper sign next to the ordering side. 2. Have you server/cashier remind/make customers aware that this is a cash only. read more
