Possible Card Skimmers - Be Careful I stopped at this gas station because it's the last one before the highway. Everything seemed normal at first--the clerk was acting like any typical store employee. When I went to pay, I tried to tap my card, but it wasn't working. The clerk immediately told me the machine wasn't broken and that I needed to insert my card instead. That raised a small concern for me. I went back to my car to grab a different card and tried tap to pay again, but it still wouldn't work. When I mentioned that the machine might not be functioning properly, the clerk suddenly became very aggressive and upset, insisting I insert the card. After my card finally went through, the clerk became even angrier and tried to kick me out, even though I was already leaving. The reaction seemed very unusual just for pointing out a possible issue with the payment machine. Because of how strongly he pushed for card insertion instead of tap, and how aggressively he reacted when I questioned it, it honestly made me uncomfortable. I'm canceling my cards just to be safe. If you stop here, I'd recommend paying with cash. Also be aware that the staff seemed very rude to multiple customers while I was there. read more

I'd like to note that I have only ever used the Sunoco portion of this establishment. Not that I didn't want to, but each stop here was either for fuel of snacks. Getting fuel here is a task. The lot is always congested. Especially since it feels like truck stop gas station. Being positioned where it is, and them trying to pack in as much as they could in this strip of land, it is almost impossible to move about without getting stuck in congestion. The pumps are always busy. It may take some time to get one, and you never know which way a person is going to pull into one of the pumps. It is interesting to see how people are oblivious to everything around them. Inside, it is set up like your traditional convenience store. However, smelling like Subway bread the whole time in here. Service inside is not always the best. I found it to be interesting that they would always find a way to run from behind the counter when they see you coming towards it. Or they would simply turn their backs to you. Once one of them finally realizes you are there, it can be a bit congested like it is outside. I think they purposefully leave the one register down because to cater to those seeking lottery tickets. My favorite part here, the display case with all the plastic food that they may have available. Not only is there a Subway inside, but you get your selection of the 7-11 fare. read more

Prices are high probably since this the closest gas station to National Harbor. I tried to get the car wash while paying at the pump ------ didn't work. When I was finished pumping gas the receipt didn't come out either. So I went to talk to cashier he printed my receipt and said I could pay for the car wash there. I asked him for the basic twice, instead he charges me for the deluxe.....I ask him why when I told him I wanted the basic. Apparently the basic is only for taxi cabs......which doesn't make any sense, not to mention there isn't a single sign anywhere stating that. The car wash takes it's time so get ready to spend more time waiting in a line. That would be fine, but the car wash doesnt even do a good job. Poor customer service. Save your money, fill up and wash somewhere else! Car wash price is a minimum $8 and no discount for filling up gas. There is an air pressure machine and two vacuums. read more

I went to one pump, swiped my card, and it said "Unable to authorize". I was like... oh G-d!!!!! Someone has stolen my identity and all of my money. So I checked my bank account just in case. Phewf, the money was there. I go to another pump thinking I must have swiped my card too slow. Nope! So I frustratedly march into the store and tell the cashier about what was happening. He asks, how much gas do I want? I say, I wanted to fill up. He nicely asks, could you make a guess? I say.... ugh ok $30.00. It kind of bothers me that their system isn't sophisticated enough for me to swipe my card at the counter and then just charge me for what I use at the pump...but I know from other gas stations that this is only so at the pump; so I cant fault them for that. Stopped to get gas and a car wash. Despite putting the car wash in when asked at the pump, it did not give me the code. Since it hadn't charged me, I swung around and waited in line for the car wash. When I'd waited for 25 minutes and was at the front of the line, they placed a small note on the machine to pay inside. I got out of line and went inside. I mentioned that they should put up a sign visible when I got in line, not when I'd waited. When I'd swung around, they came out and put another sign on the machine where it was only visible when you got to the front of the line [see pic]. This location for the gas station was well placed. A gas station is a gas station but the convenience mart was so nice. Not only did it have everything but it was EXTREMELY clean. I was thrilled to go inside and it actually smelled nice. I ended up getting some water, snacks and lottery tickets and the man inside was very nice. This gas station and convenience mart also has a car wash. This is a very nice spot but its very high in traffic. Go very slow when you're driving through here it can get pretty crazy. read more

I like to buy lottery tickets here. The staff is nice. It's difficult to drive to if you are coming in from Virginia. Have to cross three lanes of traffic. If you want to avoid getting hit, keep driving straight. There is a traffic circle where you can turn around and safely get to the station. It's less expensive buying a soda here than the MGM. read more

The car wash here isn't self service, but it's not a typical drive through wash either, and as a result, the line to get through takes FOREVER. it's basically 8 minutes per car, and it can only do 1 at a time. on top of that, my car was def. still a little dirty when i pulled out of the car wash there, so i was a bit unimpressed. read more

Once I was charged twice , first I did pay cash and the employed from there he didn't give me a Receipt, then this guy say someone used the pomp and I was pis up he putted the money at the wrong pomp ,by the way Nobody was there , one of my friends he was on my car and we didn't see none cars at all ,and then I have to use my credit card the second time and the next 2 days l spoke with the manager he was rode and he did tell me I will call you back , ,,, I'm still waiting for the call he have to give me my money is only25$ bud probably they need the money more then my , well all my friends coworkers from national harbor they already know this and we will never go back to this Place , They are thief's, I recommend if you going to put gas get your Receipt I do not want the same thing happens to someone else read more

The manager of this gas station needs a serious lesson in customer service, I tried to use my credit card to purchase gas at the pump and must have inadvertently entered my zip code in wrong because it said I needed to see the cashier. I went inside, asked what was wrong & was promptly told I must have committed fraud so they locked the pump. However, they would allow me to purchase gas using that same credit card if I paid inside. So, because I was down to my last gallon of gas, I paid for a few dollars of gas using that some credit card the manager said "I was using to commit fraud" with. read more
