I came around 1 1/2 hours after the call and they pulled my car into the garage for service immediately. They said it would be about 30 minutes so I took a walk in the neighborhood and enjoyed the nice spring weather. I thought the man said it would be $8 for each test/inspection but no! It was $8 TOTAL and they even have a sign outside to advertise that deal too! I came back in 30 minutes and luckily I only needed an inspection so I actually only paid $3 today. I didn't have my jumper cables with me, so I walked over to the shop, and Charlie was kind enough to walk over to my car with me. He managed to get my car started, and realized that it only needed a new battery. Charlie and his team happened to have a fiat battery in stock (!!!), changed it immediately, and had me on my way ASAP. I am so lucky to have broken down right next door, and it was even luckier that Old Town Shell happened to be open on a holiday- they even got me back on the road when they were starting to close up for the night. You can go to Midas for 40-50 bucks. After telling them that price seemed a little high, they tried to influence me to bring it in anyway, which I knew would put me in a situation where I had to uncomfortably negotiate or walk out and start over. I got service done here a while back as well and they were by far the most expensive choice. I unfortunately did not want to call another tow service to remove it from the location so I got the work done there.They tried charging me a $200 diagnostic fee. They said it's an hourly rate, but the mechanic who looked at my car slipped up and said he only "diagnosed" it within 15 minutes. They refunded me the fee after I explained to them my perspective which was nice, but the overall price of the service was much higher than other mechanics I got quotes from. Perks on the customer service quality, but genuinely if you're looking for the same level of service at a lower price, I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Brought in my 2014 Volvo S60 for an oil change, state inspection, emissions test, and to fix the…read morecheck engine light that would've made me fail said emissions test (the code read that my air flow was too lean in my fuel). Problem number 1: the "complimentary inspection" was free, however them actually diagnosing the problem was a whopping $219.46. So, then the inspection was not free at all. Problem number 2: the quoted me at $2900 dollars to do the bear MINIMUM of repairs (air/fuel induction service, replacing an 02 sensor, MAF cleaning). Took it to another place, and I only needed to do ONE of those things for $300. Problem number 3: They insisted on me replacing my crankshaft main oil seal which would have cost me another $5000 dollars. Problem number 4: when I said this was way too much money for what I needed as I stated when I walked in that I only needed whatever had to be done to pass inspections and testing for registration and that I would come back to get my car, my Lyft to get there that is supposed to be paid for was not. They did pay for my one home, but not for the one back. Problem number 5: I only asked them to look at 2 specific things, the oil and my O2 issue, however they decided to also try having me pay another $10,000 in preventative maintenance services. problem number 6: They performed a service without asking me when I had clearly told them not to perform any service on my car after they provided the prices to me. However, they still performed the oil change anyway and charged me $119.95 for it. So despite me not wanting ANY service done, I still had to pay $389.53 just to get my car back and take it to another place. I simply cannot recommend this business to anyone when this is the kind of treatment and prices. If I had gone along with their business they were providing, I would've paid for more money in services than I would have just buying the car. I bought this car for $14,000. They were wanting to have me pay over $1500 more than what my car was even worth when I had purchased it. Save yourself the headache and wallet pain and go somewhere else.

I saw this place and took a chance they could patch or replace the tire. They couldn't because tires aren't their thing, but one of the guys got the air hose and ran it through the fence to inflate my tire. I wish I could remember his name, because I would love to give him a special shoutout! It might sound like a small thing, but he certainly didn't have to do that. He could have just said no, but he went the extra mile for someone who wasn't even a real customer. To top it off, when I asked how much I owed him, he said " no charge "! How amazing is that?
