The prices are reasonable and the location is good but this is a dangerous location. Accessing and getting a pump is tough at times and the customers can be threatening and there have been events here. I was personally threatening by a male customer there and other customers came running over. It's not the safest place and the workers and owners don't seem to care. read more

Worst customer attitude ever! I've been coming here since 2009 on at least a monthly if not weekly basis but will not be coming back here again. Not that they will care but I do want to let people know what kind of people seem to be working here now. I drive an SUV and it was running empty so I came here to fill up. Pretty sure the guy who pulled up after me in an SUV was only half empty. As I'm waiting for my tank to fill, I'm washing my windows with the squigee. The fuel clicks off and I hit the receipt button and hurry up to finish the last part of my window while it is printing. I drop the squigee back off in its original spot and grab my receipt. This all took maybe 1min but definitely not more than 2min. As soon as I get in my car and about to put the keys in the ignition, I see this attendant giving me the stink eye like wtf are you doing? And he starts motioning me to hurry the f*** up. Are you serious?? I can't help it if I had to buy TWICE as much fuel as the guy behind me who also figured out he could pull around if he was in that much of a rush. Instead the attendant is yelling at me to hurry up because he wants the new truck behind me to pull into where I am. Which is fine but I literally just finished everything. I roll down the window and tell him to calm down because I'm leaving and he just gets madder and says hurry up and go and that I'm supposed to go as soon as I finished. Well, I did JUST finish. The truck that was beeping? A US Postal delivery truck that was previously already trying to pull some jerk moves that were about to upset other customers (cut in front of the queue from the other side). Either way, it felt a bit racist as well. I won't be back. The fuel isn't that much cheaper. It was more of a habit from my years of running errands in this area and coming here for fuel on the way back. Plenty of other places for me to go. In fact, if you shop at Safeway, you can earn fuel points and end up paying for much cheaper fuel with the credits and finding one of the lower cost ones (not more than 1-2 miles away from here). And they're a brand name unlike Liberty. I liked the idea of supporting something that is not a huge conglomerate but I've also never had issues with Sunoco or Exxon. read more

After the new renovations and adding another pump has helped tremendously. Cheapest gas around which is a plus especially in the NOVA area. Having the gas pump cord extensions help tremendously !!! Dont have to worry where your tank is can fill it no matter what. Its one way in and one way out which is the only down side and hat its super busy always. But its literally downstairs from me so cant complain at all. My to go gas station, a very busy one because they have one of the best prices on gas, but worth the wait. They have one or two attendants assisting with the flow of vehicles and their hoses reach no matter on your approach. I had an issue once and the manager made things right. read more

There's another place close by that has cheaper gas but this place is 24hours...much more convenient for commuters like me that may need to find an open gas station at 5:30 am. I love that there are several pumps so even if there are lines, they move pretty quickly, at least in the early morning. I've definitely seen pile ups here later in the day, I avoid this gas station later in the day for this reason. The place is located on the main road so I don't have to go through any back roads, it's literally on the way to the highway, near that exit to 395. Even though the gas here isn't the cheapest, I've definitely seen places around with much higher prices so I'm satisfied. I love this gas station - they are the cheapest in the area and it's right off of the 7 exit off of 395. It can get pretty backed up, so if you know how to maneuver yourself in and out, you'll be fine. Just be aware of people trying to cut in line; a plus is that my gas tank is on the opposite side so I can usually slip right in the areas that people usually avoid (as they have to make a 3-point turn or have to reverse)! :D +cheapest petrol in the area :D read more

Holy Yelping Success Story! Do not roll your eyes as I say "if I could give them 10 stars.." (because I do that) but in this case, it is justified. After finding them on Yelp, I emailed Ricardo a week ago to say that I had a really simple repair for the beloved Volvo, already had the parts, and just needed someone to install them for me. He replied back right away, said that it was indeed easy, and to come on in on Saturday. I would have just waited a couple of weeks for my dealership in Boston to do it, but I was tired of not being able to use the back/lift door on the SUV and that meant my dog had been sitting on the back seat for weeks, which he loves, but I do not. Also, what good is the car if I cannot use the back??? Off to Liberty I went yesterday. The lot on Columbia Pike is small, but it is a happening place with gas, repairs, emissions tests, etc. A nice guy told me Ricardo was at the Alexandria location, gave me directions and 7 minutes later I found Ricardo at the Kind St. location (thus the cross-post of this at both locations). Ricardo had the two lift gates replaced in about 3 minutes, and refused to charge me. He wouldn't even take money from me until I said "fine, call it dinner money!" and he said the best thank you would be to let others know about his service. With that, Yelp friends, I am thrilled to tell you about Liberty (cheap gas at both locations too, just go early or late in the day since people were all over the place to wait for their turn at the pump). read more

My advice is to get here early or make an appointment (if that's possible). This is one busy location. The customers lining up to get inexpensive gas, makes it almost impossible to get to the actual garage. However, the awesome reviews from women is what made me visit. Last year I needed an inspection and wanted to try this place out because of its convenience to my home and workplace. I wasn't able to try last year but I did recently have them replace a light that was out on my passenger side. I only go to this gas station when my car is basically about to just stop. The location seems like it would be convenient, but this gas station is always crowded. Well...what can I say? It's just gas...and we all know that the price is high everywhere you go. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that that this station is there. Only good thing about this place is the location and convenience! The actual store is small as a bathroom and when I say LIMITED SELECTION!! Literally LIMITED, I've never been to a gas station that does not sell the regular size cokes!(16-24OZ) they have the mini ones literally 2 fridges worth of drinks, One rack that holds 3 bags of chips and 2 shelves of candy and Have the nerve to Lock the door at night as if its anything in there someone would want to steal! Might be the cheapest gas around but frequently not worth dealing with the massive number of self-centered malcontents who insist on pulling up to the pump the wrong way. Seriously folks you have a right-side tank pull up at a right-side pump. The only upside - on weekday mornings one of the guys from the service station comes out and directs traffic. Excellent garage with good prices. The gas is cheap. This place is tiny and it is often hard to get in and out to get the gas. If you know how to maneuver your car your golden. The garage does a good job at a good price and after a few visits remember who you are. I'd recommend them. read more

I used to avoid this station when it was owned by Exxon because Exxon is routinely the most expensive chain out there, since it's an evil corporation hell bent on increasing profits and eating the souls of children despite rising unemployment, higher production costs, and decreased spending, but I digress... Liberty was a welcome change, though. Now the station is typically one of the cheaper - if not the cheapest - gas stations in the area. It can get pretty crowded during rush hours, and that's a real pain because the lot is very small and tough to navigate when busy. I have been going to this gas station forever and I love it. It has transformed over the years with new & innovative ways to make putting gas easier and faster. SOME people are a bit sensitive and think that the employees who are directing you at the gas station are being pushy or rude but they aren't. Most of them are young kids working the summers and doing their job in directing you to gas pumps to make the lines go quicker so I'm pretty happy that a gas station actually cares about its functionality and their customers!! read more

Liberty Gas station is as good as it gets . Starting with the price of the Gas, what make you stop there and wait in line to put gas .But whille waiting in line you have the very friendly owners and employees who would be standing there smiling and helping anybody who is in need of help . The Gas that I put in my car last more than if I put it in another gas station, I beleive it is pure and clean . I live across the street from the station and i can say that this station is busy 24 hours a day. At any time I look from my Balcony I see a line ,people there for gas ,car parked to be fixed ,people taking a break from the highway drive , plus I see some socialazing . On my last but very interesting note is that the owner is "Brilliant" to make the switch of the company in this economy crisis. People always avoided expensive gas station and this station was never busy like it is this year since the change. I work in the building behind this station and often frequent there to pick up a snack or two. The only good thing about this place is that their gas is cheap. Other than that there isn't much there. The gas attendant is an ASS.. He'll have you wait on him to count an entire register without even acknowledging your presence or just a quick "i'll be right with you" After standing there for what seemed like forever without any customer service. I left. I refuse to give my money to a person that is an ass. I'm standing there, in front of him, even said hello and never received a response. I pumped gas yesterday at around 4:00pm. Today, my wife noticed that Bank of America entered duplicate amount of $27.57 for the same purchase on 1/3/2016. The bank told us to contact the gas station to report it. I called and talked to Joseph. He checked the transactions from yesterday and it showed that my credit card was only charged once. He even sent me a photo copy of the transaction to prove that it was only charged once. When I called the bank I was told that it will be corrected in a few days. DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR VERBAL QUOTES!!! I have used this service station for several years without any issues until 6/13/15. I received a verbal quote previously of $160 for flushing of brake fluid, power steering fluid and transmission fluid. The transmission quote was $90. The state inspection was not completed. I dropped the car off at 10:00 a.m. and left it for the day. The mechanic advised the oil change was not required. THE FINAL BILL FOR TWO FLUID CHANGES of power steering and brake was $264.21. I usually go to this gas station to fill up gas the as the price is one of the cheapest in town, that may lure into auto maintenance is also reasonable. The manager, Sam, is rude, unprofessional and mean he himself acknowledged that he may have been mean to customers. As he acts like he has monopoly business. He teared the work order I have put in, in front me. He gives out quote unreasonably high for maintenance. I would never recommend this....it just me that I had bad day.
