Limited variety of paraphernalia and tobacco. Forget good cigars. Cheap cigars for reroll. Cigarettes, insence, pipes, basic bongs, and nothing special but a go to place in a pinch. Nice people work there but limited hours. Plenty of parking. read more

I was torn on how many stars to give. If I was to rate it based on my first impression I would only give them 1 star because I was immediately offended when I walked in the door. Lansdowne is a cute little town with old small town charm and they are acting like they are in the ghetto and are behind bullet proof glass with all of the merchandise. They built the store like they build the Chinese take outs in the most dangerous parts of north and west Philly. I know its not the safest neighborhood anymore but nowhere is completely safe. So basically its not a pleasant shopping atmosphere. Other than that, they are the closest tobacco shop to my house, the owners appreciate my business, they carry the products I use and they have fair prices so I'll continue to shop here and recommend this store you others. read more

The worst service I have ever received in my life. I walk into the Smoke shop excited to buy a "water pipe" for my boyfriends bday. The two women behind the counter saw me come in, didn't greet me, and actually continued their conversation as if I was not standing there waiting to be assisted. Being as though I do not smoke the only term I know for what I wanted was "bong". When I aksed do they have any, one lady became rude told me there was a clear sign stating dont say any "B" words in the store. The sign was very small, so if something is that important you think it would be much larger or they would tell first time customers (like myself) as soon as they walk in to read it. I couldn't believe she would talk to a paying customer the way she did, so I told her I wouldn't be buying anything from her because of her nasty attitude, instead of being apologetic she proceeds to get even nastier and say "Good, cause I wasnt going to sell it to you anyway" . At that point I became livid, because I now wasted my time to drive out my way to get treated as if I'm not coming in their empty store to help keep the lights on... I will never go back and will tell EVERYONE how horrible their service was to a new customer. NEVER SHOP HERE! read more

I love this store and the owners could not be nicer. I agree with the other reviewer that it's a little surprising to walk in and see all the glass but let's be real...although parts of Lansdowne are cute it's also a little ghetto depending on the street. Most of their inventory could easily be stolen so I don't blame them. The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming and they had multiple suggestions for me. I felt very welcome.
