They still remain a go to spot for me when it comes to finding certain brands. And the owner is a very nice guy. But I was slightly disappointed in one thing. You see, they have a back room for you to enjoy a smoke. I've used it before and it used to have nice plush couches. It's been remodeled, and the plush couches have been replaced with hard benches. Maybe he has a perfectly good reason for this. But I didn't like it. That's just my preferences. Smoking lounges should be lounge worthy. read more

Great local place to buy nicely kept cigars! I had two hours between meetings and being a cigar smoker I'm stopped by to have a smoke and get some work done on my laptop. WiFi was good in the main room, not very good in the back room. This is my South Philly buddy Michael's home cigar shoppe. He loves the selection and the lounge in the back so I had it on my radar to stop in when I Was in the neighborhood. Thursday was the day. It just so happened to be a cigar event with George Rico and his Gran Habano lines. You can't go wrong with a BUY THREE GET ONE FREE deal. I picked out four different sticks to try. An excellent young cigar man helped me with all my selections. I was really impressed with his knowledge and explanation of each stick's characteristics in the price range I Wanted to hit. When I Go to a new shoppe I Want sticks that other places don't carry. Michael,my friend, recommended the owner's own house cigar and after smoking one last night, I'm mad I didn't get more! Delicious at all three phases of the smoke, it was a perfect blend of tobacco that gave a medium yet rich taste throughout. There are three sizes, each with a different Italian slang word. I tried the Renzulli. This is what you envision everything a vibrant South Philly cigar store would be. I loved it and am coming back soon for more! read more

Going 3 stars on this one. Selection is so-so and prices are reasonable BUT - I have a gripe. I've been here 3 times, and probably wont return unless I'm REALLY in a pinch. Listen, every time I have been in I get about 4-6 cigars and I have to sit there for 10 minutes because they don't know the price of the cigar and have to run into the humidor and check the box. For the love of all that is holy - PUT PRICES ON EACH CIGAR! Stop being lazy. Every time I was in there everyone is standing around smoking cigars or playing poker. This is a great smoke shop in South Philly just a few blocks from the markets on 9th street. The cigar selection is phenomenal with a good selection of everyday sticks and premium cigars like the Opus X, Ashton ESG and Padron anniversary editions. For anyone who is a cigar smoker this is one place that you must come to. When inside at any given time you will never find a dull time. The people inside are the most stand up people that you will ever meet. Any one of the local/ regulars will go out of their way to help you and the owner one make you feel like family. The selection of cigar is outstanding and if y the cigar you smoke isn't there just wait until Wednesday and it will be. The event held there and their annual "Let My People" dinner stands side-by-side with the big smoke. It is often said that the twin shoppe is the best reality show not on tv.
