I came to visit some friends in Fishtown for the weekend who stay in this building. This was my first time in Philly so trying to find my friend's address was, to put it mildly, like being a blind man, in a dark room, looking for a black cat, that isn't even there!!! Thankfully, the owner knew my friends and pointed me in the right direction. This is a really sweet little spot to enjoy a great cigar and chat for hours on end with the regulars. I made a bunch of people here just hanging around and smoking a few cigars. This is the type of place people come to unwind, to discuss, to learn, to teach, to live. The staff is very knowledgeable and will always point you in the right direction when asked for recommendations. They are thorough and have a very consultative approach to your likes and dislikes to find you the perfect cigar. read more

Came to Philly to conduct some business. As the business concluded, my co-worker and I want to check out a reputable cigar lounge to smoke some cigars. We looked up Xhale Cigar Lounge and called to see if it was open. Luckily, they were open. My co-worker was not a social smoker like I was so I was so glad that one of the employees there by the name of Tom, I believe, explain to him on introductory on cigars. A friendly staff and an excellent selection of cigars. My only gripe would be that unlike some other cigar stores you have to walk through the smoking lounge to get to the cigar store. For most people that would probably not be an issue but for me I actually don't smoke cigars and was picking some up as a gift. The smell walking through the lounge was very strong. read more

I like each cigar shop I visit more, and Xhale is no exception. I doubt I'll be looking for another spot. I stopped in to buy a humidor (which is awesome), and Brad, the owner was really friendly and informative. He truly has a passion for cigars and want to share that. The store has a really great selection, and this is the first cigar shop I've visited where I actually wanted to hang out. Two HD TVs with sports playing and some nice leather chairs are a great touch. The prices here are decent; they're on par with the quality, which is high. Nice spot, and the best part? Not in Center City! Easy to find parking and browse the store. Gregory was an affable clerk, and though I did not need help deciding (I just picked one that was dark and matched my budget), he was available. I'm an out of towner from Virginia but not unfamiliar with the Philly area. I took my fiancee there after trolling the internet for a good cigar place that wasn't too far from the reading terminal market where he had just finished dinner. The area is in an "up and coming" area, but at no point did I feel uncomfortable walking there from my car. The cigar selection was impressive and the prices were reasonable. The building was older but well maintained. The Puerto Rican gentleman working the register there was awesome, sociable, and knew his stuff about the products. The crowd there (which is the true measure of a good cigar shop) was friendly, and it was definitely a place where "townies" and locals frequented more than tourists, but they treated us as if we were neighbors. The crowd was a good cross section of Philadelphians that night: A biker, an IT guy, a couple retirees, a cop, a couple firefighters, and a host of others. Its a nice place: Unpretentious, reasonably priced smokes, and most importantly, a really good crowd. I will be back there the next time I visit Philly. read more

Like me, most people are sick of the lame scene in Philly. But Xhale lounge brings some new life to Fishtown. This shop is intimate and relaxing with comfy leather chairs, and huge HD TVs to enjoy sports or whatever you want to watch while you sit back and enjoy a cigar from one of the many different selections they offer. It's really chill here but don't let that fool you, it can turn into a party on any given night! The owner Brad is uber nice and so chill! He makes you want to stay there and just chat and smoke cigars all night. Me and my friends always stop here before a big night out to grab some cigars to feel extra "big pimpin"! So next time your having an event (birthday party, wedding, communion, anniversary, etc...) Be sure to stop here first and get some cigars which will really make the night extra special. We stopped in Xhale Cigar Lounge for the first time today and were very impressed. Everybody was relaxing, having a good time, and watching the Eagles game on both of their HDTVs. I used to live in Fishtown, in fact, only a few blocks away from this store. It was one of the best places I have ever been to. It is a very cozy, friendly, and just overall cool place to chill, smoke a cigar, and chat with others. And the owner, Brad, is one of the coolest people to talk to. He has great knowledge of cigars, and has given great insight on more than one occasion. Unfortunately because of monetary circumstances, I had to move out of the neighborhood. If I ever move back to Fishtown, or in the neighborhood for a bit, this will be the first place I return to. read more
