Known as the wine "capitol" of Canada, this lovely little town in the Okanagan just across the U.S. border sees its population grow from roughly 7k to over 60K during the summer beach going season--Winter is a very good time to visit. 15 Park looked like it might fit the bill based on their food porn photos so I strolled there from my cheapo lodging and was seated at an empty bar. This Bistro is located in the Watermark Resort and, normally, requires a reservation due to limited seating. They had a Sunday pre-fix menu option that included prime rib, a salad, and dessert--An easy decision. The meat was cooked to crimson perfection and the meal was divine. Really enjoyed chatting with the bartender and host ... their service was impeccable. Highly recommended if you find yourself in Osoyoos.

The beauty continues across the lake to vineyards along the foothills. The food is delicious at lunch time when we went. From the Shrimp Gyoza and Bao Buns ( which humorously means Buns Buns), to the Ahi Tuna Tacos, it was all amazing. Even had a great Rosé though I forget which one. The park burger and Tuna Poke Bowl were also big hits with the family. The service was great. Very helpful when ordering and on top of everything. Always with a smile. They gave us a delicious chocolate and ice cream something for my wife and I's Birthdays. I don't recall if it was complimentary or if our friends ordered it as to take a phone call and it was there when I got back. I'd eat here over and over if I could. I am regretfully from out of country.

It's a pesto and grilled chicken, it wasn't as vibrant as I was expecting, I don't think there was anything wrong with the portion size or preparation, it just wasn't as fulfilling as I anticipated. They supposedly have really good breakfasts, but I was traveling and would not have time to try one out. Looking over the breakfast menu and I think it looked better than the lunch/ dinner menu. I sat out on the patio and it was a nice break from the rain in western Washington.

The servers were incredibly kind and friendly, but the restaurant owner was a different story. We had a yummy basket of fries and a nice chat with our server. After receiving our pizza, both myself and my friend thought that the pizza tasted and smelled of cigarettes. The sauce was very acidic and chunky, and overall unpleasant to eat. We each tried one slice, I couldn't finish mine- before deciding that we really couldn't enjoy it. We let our server know as much and offered to pay for a half pizza/kids pizza (still paying as expected for the rest of our food/drinks), and he said that he would have to ask his supervisor about our request. When "JP" came out, it was clear he had been drinking. He became argumentative quickly- claiming that we just didn't understand how oven fired pizza was supposed to taste, that we were clearly trying to dine and dash, and eventually told us to just "see what happens" and to not pay and leave. He took a photo of us which we asked him to delete (he didn't- he posted us on the business Facebook page- see attached, I've removed my friend's face) and told us he could do "anything he wants" since he was the owner. In all of the breath he spent yelling at us, he could have offered a better solution, or just kindly told us there was nothing he could do. I asked the server if we could just pay and move on- he told us it was fine/on the house, and it seemed like dealing with a drunk for a boss wasn't out of the ordinary. I am sorry to see this kind of unprofessional behavior from someone who claims to have been in the restaurant industry over 30 years. Save your time and the headache and go to Meza or Three Fingered Jack's. We had an excellent experience and enjoyed the food immensely at both locations.

Knotty Pine sounded like a cool, place to try and they brought the goods! The interior is not classy or "upscale," but it is clean, comfortable and welcoming. It's a seat-yourself kind of place, so it was a moment before we were handed menus and asked for drink orders. Then it was a rather lengthy wait before our orders were taken. However, it didn't take that long for the food to arrive and, I will say this, it was definitely worth the wait. I ordered the Crispy Dill Chicken Sandwich with tater tots. It arrived piping hot and oh-so-good. The fried chicken sandwich was indeed crispy, VERY flavorful with three crisp pickle slices in there. The chicken itself tasted like it was brined in pickle juice as well. If you like pickles, you'll love this sandwich. It was excellent! The tater tots .... well, how can you screw that up?? They were hot, tasty and plentiful. Now, while initially a little slow, the service is friendly and attentive. My iced tea was refilled without even getting halfway down. Prices were reasonable. We look forward to stopping again when we pass through Republic (and skip the local hustle).
