    Dinner at Aunt Aggies.

Four of us went to this unique establishment yesterday day, we all had the fish and chips. It was excellent!! The service was quick and pleasant! I would highly recommend it! We will be back for sure! Thank you for the excellent food! It only has five or six tables, so keep that in mind when going. It is worth the drive.

Tiny locally owned fish and chips joint in Oliver BC! Felt like a mom and pop shop that served fresh delicious fish and chips! We ordered the cod with fries and it was so good! The fish was crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside and the serving size was great! It came with a side of fruit and a really tasty coleslaw. Service was superb and prices reasonable! Will definitely be back if I am ever in Oliver again. They only have four of five tables for sit down service, lively because of Covid but they seemed really busy with takeout service, so get there early if you wanna dine in.

Buy the Sea - Half portion of Haddock and chips

Ever had a hankering for some fresh fish and chips? Well, we were driving through West Kelowna and…read morefound "Buy the Sea," which surprised us with a menu that not only included fish and chips, but lots of fresh seafood to take home as well. The small restaurant/market offered different kinds of fish and chips at different price points. There was Cod, Haddock, Halibut, Prawns and Oysters, and we chose to split the Haddock and chips, with extra coleslaw and tartar sauce. The Haddock arrived quickly and hot, with a piece for each of us, and a handful of fries - even for a split dish, there were really large portions. The fish was perfectly fried, and inside, tender and melted in my mouth. The chips were crispy, and I enjoyed dipping them in both the ketchup and tartar. They also provided both white and malt vinegar which I appreciated. After lunch, we perused the market area and saw there were giant crab legs, octopus, lots of fresh fish, poke, smoked fish and crab. I had my eye on the sushi-grade Ahi which I will take home next time to make my own sushi. There were also jars of sauces and dressings, and I spied ghost pepper sauce for the next time I need a good flavor boost. The prices were reasonable, and everything seemed fresh and clean. Looking forward to returning!

Both were done beuatifully. If you have a hankering for reasonably priced, quick, fish and chips, and can't bear the thought of driving over that bridge again, this is the place for you! Do note: it closes at 7:00, so not for late night snacking!

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night with the family after a day at Hot Sands Beach. It is across…read morethe street from the beach and park area; very convenient. We called ahead to make reservations and they added us for 6:30. The restaurant is on the main floor of a hotel and the decor is very elegant with patio and inside seating. They sat us by the window facing the street, which was nice. We ordered the chowder and a half dozen oysters to start. For mains, our kids got the Mountain Burger and mac and cheese. They ate everything on their plates. My wife had the Steamer Pot and I order the Halibut and Chips. Both were excellent. The Halibut and Chips were not greasy. Steamer Pot was tasty with the coconut curry base. We had the Orchard Apple Pie for dessert which was also excellent. Family really enjoyed the dinner, and its close proximity to the park, beach, and boardwalk with boats was very convenient. We noticed that they had Happy Hour specials in drinks and Sharing Plates. Will definitely have to try coming again during those hours. Also if note is it looks like they will validate or reimburse for parking which is good for next time.

It was close to closing time so I thought maybe they were rushed, etc. I went back from breakfast and was awful. I ordered an eggs Benedict, the muffin wasn't toasted, the eggs were overdone, and it was not hot. Nobody came by to check on me and I was very hungry so I ate some of it anyway. It wasn't busy in either visit, so it wasn't a matter of low staff. It's too bad, this could be a nice place.
