Chicken was great, I wasn't sure I loved the sauce they put on it but that's just preference. I liked that they had youth working ( probably family). I feel it builds character and work ethic. 5 stars for service! If I'm being honest, I would say 2 stars for food. Had the chicken cordon Bleu with fettuccine Alfredo. I didn't taste the Alfredo really at all? Tasted just like buttered noodles and desperately needed seasoning. Cordon Bleu was just ok, and it seemed like it was not homemade but rather pre-made from a food purveyor. This seems to be a family restaurant, with a bustling and lively atmosphere well into the evening. Note that they only open for dinner service. We made a reservation and when we arrived, it was missed, but the staff was quickly able to accommodate us creatively. Some of my party had pasta, pizza, and salads, but the consensus was that the restaurant was great at what they specialize in, which was Greek food. Was hoping for a good meal here. Didn't happen, it was very very bland and $35 for a souvlaki!!? No where near hitting the mark. The chicken was dry and very bland with cheeses (1cheese) poured over top so no marination or flavour. Very pricey and very average. Service was poor but the had a busy night so that's understandable. read more

Come for the salad dressing (seriously, its that good), stay for the prime rib. This place is an old fashioned, but wonderful family style restaurants. The food was both tasty and well portioned. Every member of the family found something they enjoyed and no one was disappointed. We tried a wide range of menu items: rainbow trout, prime rib (epic good), salmon, and pasta. All were delicious beyond expectation. Each entree was accompanied by salad or soup, potato or rice, and garlic toast. The iced tea was even amazing. My wife had calamari. It was soggy and doughy and tasteless. We had the Greek appetizer plate. It was greasy ,deep fried and tasteless. I had the roast lamb. It is my favourites normally but here it was 70 percent bone and gristle and was very rare. I returned it 80 percent unconsumed. Overall a very poor meal. We are locals and were shocked at the quality of the meal our friends who had steak and prime rib were I'll after returning home. I will never return. The waitress was very good though. read more

Another great meal at Diamond. Over the years we've eaten here many times as it never fails to please everyone. Portion sizes are good and value for quality and quantity are definitely there. We were a party of 3 and had full dinners and a bottle of local wine for about $150. Two of us shared the seafood platter which had calamari (the best in the area), garlic prawns, breaded butterfly prawns, scallops and grilled salmon - everything on the platter was cooked correctly and there was more than enough add to this their greek salad (which has their signature dressing), pita, hummus and tzatziki. The other person had the prime rib dinner, which in summer is served nightly, the regular portion was ample and cooked as requested. This is a restaurant we keep going back to because it is consistently good. Whether visiting or local you'll enjoy the Diamond. We took a quick day trip from Omak, Wa. to Ossoyoos BC. this afternoon for a bit of shopping and a good meal. On a recommendation from a customer that I serve at a Wal-Mart store where I work, we stopped by the Diamond Steak House for an early dinner. What a wonderful experience. To start, the restaurant was very clean and wonderfully staffed. We were seated quickly and were pleased to see that there were a number of both tables and booths to choose from. Food menue was varied with a nice mix of both Greek and Western options to choose from. My partner chose the roasted lamb and I had the fresh trout. Both dinners were excellent and the service was just right thanks to Shannon, our ever observant server. A well appointed wine list was available if wanted and the desert offerings were scrumptious. Most deffenitly a restaurant that we will re-visit time and time again. Prices are fair for the quality and quantity of food offered. I have been going to the diamond for 25 years and never had a bad meal. If you are a chef in the Okanagan and you do not have " The Diamond " on your resume than do not expect to get the upper end salary. This establishment has been around for years and years. You do not last if you are not great. I travelled around the world ( for my job) and have had prime rib from Montreal to Texas no one beats the diamond. They serve a 8 oz, 10 oz and a 12 oz. here is the best part if you want a 16oz they will cut it. Without doubt the best prime rib I have ever tasted. We had supper there tonight and while the food was good the steaks were thin ( 1/2 inch) and did not seem to be the 8 oz. size we ordered.
