Food was delicious, service was quick and accurate. Clean restaurant. Couldn't be happier with the quality of service or food. A favorite of ours for sure!

By far the best food and service in all of Osoyoos, and this side of the rio-grande!! Gr8 selections and full bar as well.

Bland. Busy but popularity probably a function of lack of decent alternatives. It you want a better meal, best to go to a winery.

Delicious, generously sized meals. Lovely staff. Just missing a lake view! (Quality of food overcame this deficit though)

Came here for a family dinner on a weeknight and overall enjoyed my meal. They had an extensive…read morecocktail and beverage menu, as well as a full menu with a variety of items. The service was great! I ordered a risotto which was good, but not amazing. The asparagus was crunchy and seemed not fully cooked. We sat on the patio but it was loud since it was on a busy street with constant traffic. The outdoor booth was comfortable, although very low down making it hard to reach my food on the table. Overall, this is a great option for a nice meal in Penticton, but could be improved with better seating and higher quality cooking.

Buckle in for a bit of a lengthy review on this one, I have many good things to say about this…read moreplace. We are Americans that live in a somewhat remote area, so we regularly travel to the Penticton area for shopping and amenities that can't be found in our local area. After we completed our errands this afternoon we decided to stop in to The Nest for a round of drinks and appetizers before returning home. We had the pleasure of being served by the owner himself, who is an extremely friendly and polite gentleman. The vibe upon walking in immediately felt casual and welcoming. The owners passion for what he does shines when he speaks about the menu and about the restaurant. He was extremely attentive despite being short staffed this evening, and being it was our first time in he took the time to explain that the restaurant uses only locally sourced ingredients, and makes as much as they can from scratch in house. The drink menu is pretty expansive and is full of many craft cocktails that are not commonly found elsewhere. Being someone who loves a French 75 and a Tom Collins, I was happy to see both. You'll find many specialty flavors of margaritas, gin and tonics, and smoked cocktails all made with locally distilled spirits. Additionally, they have a nice selection of local beer, wine, and cider when available. As far as the food menu, there are few (if any!) other restaurants I can honestly say I would be willing to try every item on the menu, but this is one of them. There is a unique collection of dishes and options for everyone, with entree options varying from red meat, to seafood, to gluten free, to vegetarian. We opted for two of the appetizers, the baked Brie and nuts and the bison carpaccio. Both were exceptional and fresh tasting. The quality of the ingredients used is apparent. This place will have to be one of our go-to spots from now on. The service is enough to keep you coming back, but we are so looking forward to trying everything else the menu has to offer. Highly recommend giving this place a chance if you haven't already!

And the service and presentation were pleasant. Having had the gold standard, "High Tea" at the Empress in Victoria, I'm spoiled. Comparatively, the flavors weren't strong, tart, and dry enough to complement the tea. Although the smoked duck canapé was terrific, the cucumber sandwich was mediocre, not crisp and light. The egg salad was heavy and gooey (maybe it could have had a touch of curry?), and there's nothing high-brow about a sun-dried tomato tortilla wrap. The scones were good with cream and jam. But not quite the dry, flaky, baking-powder taste that makes you crave more tea. The jam was good, but not the tart strong flavor like a freezer raspberry jam that complements tea well. The desserts were the best part, and who can argue with that? Delicious flavorful (but not overpoweringly so) morsels with, variously, ginger or berries or crème caramel or truffle. And lots of them, and just the right miniature size, so you taste a lot of variety but don't feel like you've over-eaten. My refill of tea was with the original tea bag, so it was undrinkable, and the teapot was the typical heavy diner style that never pours well and drips backwards with every pour. Nothing delicate about this teapot. The right spout to pour tea has been around for centuries - why do restaurants always get such lousy ones? But I digress. Who's to quibble with details Who's only $20 for all this in a beautiful mountain setting? Well worth it and I'd come again.

The price this restaurant is set at does not match its location and atmosphere. The food was good, streak cooked perfect and they even separated it for us but came out really cold. So of course we had to check it out! The location is stellar, right overlooking the beachfront. Can't beat that. The hostess and our server were lovely and attentive. We got a table on the lower patio, overlooking the waterfront. Fabulous! We were impressed by the diversity of dishes on the menu. I think you'd be hard-pressed not to find something to your liking here, whatever your culinary preferences or restrictions. My kid ordered a maple-glazed salmon dish with mashed potatoes and asparagus (which she devoured and loved!). I ordered the calamari and tempura vegetables which came with the most unique aoili sauce made with passionfruit. It sounds really odd, and it sounds like it shouldn't work - but boy, does it ever! What a fabulous taste to this sauce! And the calamari was wonderful and perfectly seasoned and fried. And I've never had tempura strips of red pepper but they were fantastic! Truly wonderful calamari dish. We were too full for dessert. Alas! This restaurant lived up to its hype for us! Great place!

The waitress was very knowledgeable. I ordered the fiesta bowl with eggs sunny side up. I was given the salmon bowl with eggs poached. Not what I ordered at all. At least it came hot. I think a price adjustment should have been in order or no charge for a major screw up. It was still very good. The fish tacos were loaded with lettuce but still very good
