Sunright is a pretty solid option for boba in downtown Burlingame. My favorite part is how they do video game collabs as well. Most recently being MapleStory, Faefarm, and Honkai: Star Rail where they make exclusive collab drinks and cool merch. It's definitely worth coming to for this alone. Customer service wise it is a little non existent, but thats just due to the layout of their store with you ordering on a kiosk and the staff puts your drink down and calls your order. That's about it and its a quick grab and go type of spot. On weekends it can definitely be packed, but I like how bright and unique the interior of the store is. The Mango Frostie ($6.55) is what I tried most recently during my last visit and it was good aside from the fact that there were some hard mango chunks that I bit into that had a strange texture and taste which bumps my rating for the drink down a bit, but the drink overall had a really nice mango taste. Popped in after dinner last night and I get the hype now. I get why everyone talks up Sunright Tea Studio and while I was heartbroken that Majestea was gone, I am quite happy that Sunright is here. Rule of thumb: always leave room for dessert after dinner... or at least a really good boba drink. First off - the Sun in Sunright is right because this place is BRIGHT AS HECK. I knew from the photos that they'd be running a ton of light inside, but I was caught off guard by how much light was from both sides. Not an issue, just really good lighting for all your photos. They have two self-kiosks up front for you to order and then you just wait for your drink to be made. There's a ton of options that sounded good and I ultimately settled for their creme brulee boba milk at 100% sweet (recommended), light ice, and no extra toppings as it came with boba already. The drink was amazing. When you hear creme brulee you think it'll be a lot of sugar and doing it a 100% sugar was daunting even if that's what was recommended, but the drink was delicious and my friend got her drink today and added mochi for $1.50 and said it was bomb so I know what to get on my next visit. read more

Found out about this place through the Yelp event and had to come back! Looooved the coconut jasmine drink. I felt like the coconut flavor wasn't too strong (but obviously if you're not a fan of coconut, this drink ain't for you). My bf got the regular milk tea and loved it as well! Ordering in store was super convenient and quick! I also tried the Four Seasons milk tea - pretty nice change up from their regular milk tea but I probably wouldn't order it again. My bf tried the coffee oolong tea and that was quite strong in coffee taste but really good. -1 star because I came back today but did an online order instead (see photo) but I ordered honey boba for both drinks but got 2 different types of boba in my drinks... Woohoo!! What a way to start 2023! I'm so so excited that Sunright is finally in the Peninsula and sooo close to me! I must say that the quality of Sunright is always the same at each store and that's why I love it so much! This is my top boba place and what I always recommend to my friends! My favorite drink of all time is their strawberry jasmine tea with lychee jelly! I love how refreshing it always is and I don't think I would get any other drink here. But my SO does try out their other drinks and all of them are super delicious either way! Seems like there's quite a few workers in the back area and everything is self serve, order at the tablet. Plenty of standing space in the store since it's pretty deep and a bench for people to sit but definitely not enough to stay long and chat. Having had Sunright at least a dozen times (either by going in person to a few of their locations or having it delivered), I can comfortably say this is one of the better Boba spots in the Bay Area and it's definitely my go to when passing by. The quality seems to be consistent with their different locations. I've had the opportunity to try most things on the menu but my favorite is the grape frosty, which unfortunately seems to be a seasonal item. The menu is extensive enough to where there should be something for everyone as there are your more traditional choices, as well as, some fusion (East meets West), creative new drinks. Sunright uses high quality ingredients, many of which are locally sourced in California. And yes, you can absolutely tell the difference! This is also because they don't cut corners and costs during the prep. The staff is always on top of things and even in the beginning when wait times were ridiculous (waiting an hour for your drinks), they have always been working diligently and quickly while maintaining the high quality standard. Thankfully things have calmed down since then (and they have opened multiple locations) but I would still recommend ordering ahead of time when you head there for a smoother experience. The location itself is small, narrow, and it's pretty much a grab and go at the moment but the decor matches the theme - bright yellow with a few white clouds - bringing joy and happiness once you step in. Came here on a Thursday afternoon. No cashier there in the front at that time so we ordered by our phone (or use their tablets). I got the brûlée oat latte (50% sweetness and light ice), sunright fruit tea (0% sweetness and light ice), and white peach oolong tea with cheese foam (50% sweet and light ice). Definitely a fan of the brûlée oat latte, though it doesn't taste like crème brûlée, and more like puff cream. However it was super tasty! The fruit tea is pretty good with a touch of sweetness even at 0%, probably from natural fruit. The skin of the oranges give a small hint of bitterness but it's still solid. The white peach is also delicious and on the less sweet side but enjoyed as tea is suppose to be light. Price is also very reasonable with drinks ranging from $5-$7 too. I came here on a Monday afternoon and there was no wait. You're able to order on their screens. Their menu is extensive. They have kids drinks (caffeine free) and also offer gallon sized milk teas to bring home. I ended up getting the Oreo milk tea with boba and the panda milk tea. After ordering, the drinks came out within 1 minute. Both drinks were delicious! A little bit on the sweeter side even though we got less sweet. The panda drink had a really strong Ceylon tea flavor which paired well with their two colored boba. Solid new location of Sunright Tea Studio. Ordered online to beat the rush. Glad I ordered ahead given the 10 people waiting inside. The online order platform was easy to use, but the in store pick up was a bit confusing at first. My number was two digit, but included a 1 so you were supposed to pick up at spot 1. I didn't know the process, so I had to ask a staff member that was mixing drinks to understand it. It might be helpful if they had a sign to explain the process. The drinks themselves were solid. Out of the ones we ordered I really enjoyed the fresh milk taro. The drink was made with the actual taro purée, so when I ordered 0% sweet was nice and savory. I prefer when it's made that way as the versions made without the taro pulp tend to be more sugary even if you as for less sweet. It will definitely be my taro drink go to in the future. My go to drink is the yakult grapefruit tea light ice 75 sweet (sometimes 100 sweet if I need to pick me up). Perfect blend of sweetness and bitterness. If you love yakult, the yakult fruit tea series is a MUST TRY! and Always get some ice, even if you don't like ice, it really helps mix the drink. The service is fairly quick, between 5-10 mins but its usually more popping afterwork times (5-6pm). Theres a bench to sit on but nothing too fancy inside. Very clean though, and its all ipad or QR code ordering, so if you're socially anxious, there's literally no one you need to speak with. read more

I love Sunright! My fave place to get a basic milk tea. Their Sunright Boba Milk Tea (50% or 75% sweet) is so good!! Not watered down, not too milky. I'm always on the search for the best milk tea and this is definitely it. I also never get boba in my drinks, and their honey boba is freshly warm soft, and sweet. I'm so glad they opened up a location in Burlingame, since it's a lot closer to me. The location is quite small, more like a grab and go and you can order on the iPad. Amazing, a peninsula location for sunright!!! The teas are great (you can taste the strong tea flavor), milk teas are creamy and bold, and the boba is so delicious and chewy! I'd say to go with the normal boba (brown sugar) over the honey boba option if you are trying to decide. I really like the drinks at sunright, I'd recommend the standard boba milk tea, any cheese foam tea, and winter melon teas. I find that the milk tea is just right and strong tasting. Very smooth. I am also a fan of the oolong milk tea, good roasted flavor!! Cheese foam is really good, it's cheesy and a little salty, but very smooth to drink and not heavy at all. I really dig it, for me it's comparable to happy lemon. And the tea is smooth and strong, so when the foam is mixed in, it's perfect. I'm always happy to see a winter melon tea option at boba shops. This one is nice and refreshing. I've only had the winter melon tea here, but will eventually try the winter melon lemon as that's a tasty combination (a drink that I enjoy at yi fang!) For sweetness, I think 100% is a bit overly sweet, 75% is a pretty good place, but still a bit sweet so I am interested to try 50% next time. There's parking in the lot nearby, and it's easy to order online through toasttab. The store is bright and lined with a bench of seats. In terms of speed, it depends on when you go. If you happen to get stuck behind orders of doordash and groups, it does take a while. A long while. But if no one is waiting in front of you (or it's just a small group), the speed to get your drink is pretty fast! Also, I tried the matcha oolong, but am not a fan as it tastes very light and is combined with oolong tea. It seems their matcha drinks are all combinations, rather than being purely matcha and milk. Needs more matcha flavor..! I also wasn't a huge fan of the hokkaido milk tea, (for some reason I taste a coconut type of flavor, and that's what makes me dislike it). As a heads up, I'm reviewing just the boba I got since we ordered and got it delivered through DoorDash. I still have yet to go to their actual location but I definitely want to! We ordered something and something. I was worried that the something wouldn't be as icy once it arrived but it still was! The mango flavor was really pronounced and only change is that I would probably get it less sweet. However, the lid came off in the car when I tried to pull the yellow lid stopper off and we only walked across the street to the car. It spilled everywhere :( So I went back and they remade the drink and tested the lids before handing me the drink. I went back to the car and the lid came right off again when I tried to pull the yellow lid stopper off. Honey, wake up!! New Sunright just dropped! I was hankering for some hot milk tea due to the recent temperature drop and rainy days and Sunright was one of the first places to pop up! It was my first time visiting the Burlingame location after frequenting the Sunnyvale spot and right as you enter, the experience is a little different! Unlike the SV location that's more like your typical boba shop with employees, counter, drink menus, etc, this location is moreso a long hallway as you enter with no staff at the counter, you can order via the ipad or order online through their website I opt to order online and pickup. They estimate their drinks to take anywhere between 15-20 but they made my boba in 7 minutes! To complement the cold front in the California, I opted for my first Sunright hot drink. I love the Sunright Boba Milk Tea iced so this time I ordered it hot at - 75% sweetness - Oatmilk - Crème Brûlée This didn't disappoint at all! Perfect amount of sweetness, tea had an authentic flavor, and the brûlée was a great touch. Comes with a hefty amount of soft and chewy boba, so I would recommend getting a straw as well for when your drink cools down and the boba becomes safe to drink. Overall, super fast service. No frills, and the drink was great! A little expensive for the size, as I would've preferred something larger, but I would order again when I'm craving a warm drink. It was fairly busy there on Saturday afternoon, but they still probably didn't take more than about 5 minutes or so to have my order ready. There are number labels at the counter to help you more quickly find your order, which I thought was a smart idea, but also speaks to how high a volume of orders they might typically be receiving. The shop has a long bench along the wall you can sit on, and the store's layout is like a long alleyway. Generally you order from the computer screen kiosks, not by speaking directly to staff, which is great for those with social anxiety. I felt like the ratio of milk is a little too high or the tea itself needs to be stronger-tasting. But the peach oolong milk tea is nice if you like a mellow, creamy, more subtle milk tea with fruity or floral hints. I wouldn't say this Sunright is any better or worse than other Sunright locations I've been to, but over time I'm probably just becoming pickier with wanting a stronger flavor in my tea. read more

Every time I come here, nothing really ever disappoints, and I can happily say that this is one of my favorite spots in the Bay Area. Sunright is well known for their fruit teas and for someone like myself that never really craves fruit tea, that definitely says something. The interior of this place is very bright yellow, white and compact. And the service here is pretty efficient as you can get your drink pretty quickly. One drink that I always get here is the Grapefruit Frostie. What I love about it is that it tastes so refreshing and it also tastes so real as well. I love grapefruit and I appreciate how good the drink is. It's also served in a very rich layer of cheese foam as well. Just mix it all together and it's very very good. Other drinks I've gotten are their Sunright Milk Tea, Hokkaido Milk Tea, and their Sunright Fruit Tea. All which were really good and would definitely get again! I have been meaning to try Sunright since they opened up in the Bay Area, so I was super excited when I was finally in the area where there was a Sunright nearby. For our first visit, we tried the coffee milk tea (for hubby) and the peach oolong tea with cheese foam (50% sweet). Both drinks were soooo good. They also let you add agar boba in for free, and so the agar has a nice delicate soft sweetness that fit nicely with my oolong tea drink. The drink was a good amount of sweetness at 50% (I think I could even drop it down to 25%). The cheese foam is so yummy! It has a little bit of saltiness to it, but incredibly rich and not too sweet but sweet enough that it adds a nice texture and pairing for the oolong tea. This place is so cute and just off of Burlingame Ave so it's perfect if you're already in the area. There is ample seating along the side of the waiting area and enough space to stand while waiting for your drink. Service was excellent and we received our orders really quickly. Ordering is solely through the 2 iPads that they have near the counter to pick up your drinks which is super fast if you know what you want to get. I ordered the Thai Tea with boba from here and while the tea was excellent, I would skip on the boba in the future because it was slightly hard in the center. read more

Cute place that replaced TrueDan. I tried it out for my first time and got a grass jelly boba with milk at 25% sugar. It's very sweet so I wish I had changed it to 0% (very contentious opinion... I know, I know...) The drinktasted good to me for thenfirst third of the cup but I had a hard time drinking it after I hit the halfway point. read more

I ordered the white peach oolong milk tea and I really liked it! I got the recommended amount of sweetness and less ice. The drink didn't taste watered down towards the end and it had really good flavor. I would definitely come back! read more

Yeesh, this place did not get it right in so many ways. My sister-in-law forgot to add boba to her drink, and after giving them a sizable tip, they made her pay extra separately for a 50-cent silly boba order. They could have just not charged her, knowing that I gave them a good tip, but they didn't. Then the drinks themselves were very eh - the signature mixed juice was overall citrusy and undrinkable, while their black milk tea was overly sweet, with all that fake syrup swimming at the bottom. This is always my togo Boba place in the area! They have the best honey boba and it's very chewy and yummy. What I always order - Brown sugar milk tea with 25% sweetness although 50% taste better, it is really milky and right on the spot - Strawberry frostie: it is like a dessert that melts in your mouth - Hokkaido milk tea: it reminds me of white rabbit candy - Kids Oreo chocolate Boba with Ghirardelli's chocolate I can't wait to try all their flavors and I'm so happy that they opened one in peninsula. read more

I'm obsessed with Sunright! With boba shops popping up left and right in the Peninsula, what I think makes Sunright stand out from the rest us their honey boba. Don't get it confused with their regular boba which is the normal black color. Their honey boba is light yellow, super soft and they give you a ton. I've tried several of their other drinks like the strawberry matcha matcha, Oreo brulee, mango milk tea, grapefruit Yakult, and they're all delicious. I would have to say the grapefruit yakult is my favorite right now! All of their drinks contain real ingredients and doesn't taste like artificial fruit and sweetener. Service is always quick and you can place your order on the touch screens. The location is notorious for boba shops (Truedan, i-Tea, Majestea), so I really really hope Sunright is here to stay. It's definitely my new favorite boba spot in the peninsula! read more
