Drove by this place many times and finally decided to give it a try. Walked in and was greeted by the staff. They have a large selection of drinks to choose from, so it took me a while to decide. They also have a kiosk for ordering, which was convenient. I ordered the crème brûlée milk tea with half sweetness. The top layer actually tasted like crème brûlée. Even at half sweetness, it was still a little too sweet for my taste. If I come back, I probably won't order this drink again, but I'd be interested in trying some of their other options. The place is small and has a small bench where you can sit while waiting for your drink. I went for the Oreo Thai Iced Tea, which is exactly what it sounds like: Thai tea topped with Oreo crumbles. It wasn't bad at all, but I found the two flavors didn't quite complement each other as they kind of just coexisted in the same cup rather than coming together into something greater. I think blending everything together might actually unlock the combination better, so that could be worth trying if you're curious about this one. One thing to note: I ordered with regular ice, and since the tea itself is served warm at the base, the ice melted pretty quickly so my drink went lukewarm within about 10 minutes. If you're ordering something similar, I'd definitely recommend asking for extra ice to keep things cold longer. Overall, a good boba spot with a fun menu worth exploring. My friend and I stopped by Brew Cha while we were in the area since the reviews were great, but we ended up pretty disappointed. Both drinks, even though we ordered them at 50% sweetness, were way too sweet - closer to 100% / past that. I could understand the crème brûlée drink being a little sweeter, but even my friend's hojicha leaned more toward chocolate powder than the roasted hojicha flavor we were expecting. The boba was mushy with almost no chew, which made it pretty unenjoyable. On top of that, the crème brûlée topping separated when mixed into the drink, becoming chunky instead of smooth. I've had crème brûlée-style boba drinks elsewhere, and they usually blend well and add a nice layer of flavor, so this felt like an odd experience. On the bright side, the service and space were genuinely great. The shop is bright, there's a comfy couch, and parking was easy. Overall, I really wanted to like this place, but the drinks just didn't land for us. I'm willing to give it another try and chalk this up to bad luck or end-of-day timing. read more

The Fresh Mango Tea was exactly as advertised--fresh and mango-y. I don't mind fruit teas made with syrup, but I can also appreciate fresh fruit teas made with real fruit purée. The boba was nice and sweet, but I personally prefer my boba cooked a tad bit longer. I wouldn't say the boba was undercooked, but it was definitely more on the chewy side. The service was friendly. We were greeted when we entered, and the employee patiently waited while we took some time scrolling through the menu on the self-order kiosks. This is a takeout only place. I came here for the soft opening discount, and yes it did take half an hour to get our drinks, but that's fine as I suspect that's not the same after the initial hype. While the parking here is a lot better than SF, it's a small lot behind the shop, so you're still at the mercy of people being randomly active in the area. They happen to be next to a Starbird, if you're looking for something to eat with your drink! There is standing room only (and barely) at this location. - Roasted Oolong Tea The temperature for the hot tea is hot yet drinkable, and there's an extra charge to add any milk option. We had it with organic whole milk, and while you can taste the tea, I would have liked it to be creamier and more roasted in flavor; the mixture of tea, sugar, and milk didn't quite give us the satisfaction as a hot milk tea usually does. - Brew Cha Fruit Tea with black boba Boba was warm with a firm chewiness, flavored, and good. Tea strength was great and appropriate for 25% sweetness, and I think they were true to the less ice modification. The top was oddly foamy, but the fruits were fresh, which is what you prioritize in these combination fruit teas. It states there are strawberry, lime, apple, and oranges in here, and it tasted like a good balance between the citrus and sweet fruits. I like that every drink has the option to add free black boba (other toppings are an additional cost). They have enough variety to satisfy most people's flavor preferences, and their prices are fair for boba these days. While not many things draw me in to travel to SSF these days, if I do happen to be around, Brew Cha is a solid choice for tea. read more

I can say that the SSF location is of about the same quality. Is it my favorite boba place? No. But Brew Cha is definitely added to my go-to boba spots based on convenience, proximity, and drink variation. *Go to order: Matcha Brulee Milk Tea or Passion Fruit Jasmine Tea w/ Lychee Jelly DRINKS: 8/10 I feel the quality of the drinks is decent, and I appreciate that they execute the flavor profiles as described. For example, if you get a Taro drink, it tastes like legit Taro rather than the instant Taro powder. The Matcha Brulee is my favorite, as you taste the custard of the Brulee and the matcha. I find their boba toppings to be soft as well, with a good qq bouncy texture. For many of their milk tea drinks, I don't know what it is, but it's always served warm, and I wish it would be served cold right away. I guess maybe it's because it's made fresh to order, but it would just be nice not to always being served a warm drink and having to wait for the ice to cool it down. I visited Brew Cha twice in the last week because I am excited to have a new boba place nearby. The first time I visited I ordered the crème brûlée milk tea, 25% sweetness, less ice and less boba. It was delicious and the perfect combination for me. I went in when there was only one other customer and it took about 10 minutes - no problem, I thought, I'll order ahead next time. Next time I ordered ahead online and had an estimated wait time of 10 minutes. That 10 minutes turned into 21 minutes (which I was not expecting... I had a work call I had to run too ASAP). Additionally, I ordered their black sugar banana milk, 25% sweetness. This time, the drink did not taste so good - it was like a smoothie you make in the nutribullet and a lot of the drink is air bubbles (which isn't very tasty). I would definitely skip this drink, especially given that the drinks are on the pricey side. Their grand opening is on Saturday 3/1. Right now, they are having a soft opening (be sure to use code SOFT20) for 20% your order at check out. Inside there is standing room only, no seating. Plenty of parking in the lot in the back and benches out front to wait for your beverages. We tried the Tie Guan Yin Black and Red Latte (Black Sesame and Red Bean) Lemon Kumquat Tea Strawberry Black Tea You can adjust the sweetness and the ice as well as almond and soy milk as alternatives. I drive pass this location all the time so when we saw the open sign finally turn on, we stopped by for their soft opening. The staff were super friendly and they let us know that there was a 20% promo going on. Parking is available in the back for the retail shops in the complex. Note that you have to access it from the cross street, Chestnut Ave. You can easily order online or in store via the the two kiosks available. The store is small so if it's gets busy, I could see there not being too much space to wait inside. We got: - Black and Red Latte: This drink comes with milk of your choice with fresh black sesame and red bean. They have a variety of alternative milks (lactose-free, almond, and oat) at no extra cost. I don't often see this drink combo so I was excited to try. You do get a subtle flavor of sesame and actual red beans at the same time. - Tieguanyin Oolong Milk Tea (75% sweet): Pretty good tea flavor. 75% sweet was the right amount of sweetness for us. A very small and casual spot for takeaway boba with two kiosks which makes the ordering pretty fast! This is my second time here and I like its convenient location by the SSF rec center and Orange park. I came here for the first time during their soft opening months ago and tried the Chestnut Crème Brûlée latte. Very interesting flavor and I enjoyed it but I don't think I'd order again. This time, I tried the Hojicha latte, iced with 50% sweet. I think that 25% sweet would've been better, it was still quite sweet with 50% for my taste. Overall, it was surprisingly indulgent and not overpowering. I always prefer a milk tea over other drinks so this was a great pick-me-up. We were driving down el Camino and I saw brew cha next to starbird chicken . There is a parking lot behind the storefronts. Limited parking available but didn't seem like cars were parked for too long . They have two computers for ordering . I got a crème brûlée coffee milk tea with whole milk , crystal boba and cream cheese cream top . The drink was almost $10. I guess that is the going rate for boba now, are drinks going to be $20 in 2030?? . I really enjoyed my drink , the coffee flavor was great, and the cream cheese top was so yummy . Came here for their grand opening this past Sunday. We got there around 5pm and ordered on the kiosk. There were 2 kiosks available. The wait was approximately 2 hours long. You get a text when the order is ready. However the estimated wait time was not 20 minutes and it might be the system's fault for not updating it correctly. There were about 4 workers in the back. I felt really bad that they didn't have more workers which caused a huge back up and resulted to customers being angry about the wait. They had free boba for drinks which was nice and loved how it was 50% off thru the weekend. You could req boba on the side! It's better that way because if your drink is ready and youre not here, they'll put it in the fridge. Service was good, and they provided drink carriers for either 2 or 4 drinks. I got the creme brulee matcha with 25% sweetness and it was the best. However the lychee black tea was ok at 50%.... with boba it made it a bit better though. read more

When you walk in there are two self service iPads and a huge menu of drinks. The storefront is small and the workers only come out when you order a drink. There are some stools to sit on while you wait for your drinks. It took awhile to decide what I wanted because I was reading the descriptions of the specialty drinks. They do have iced and hot drinks, different toppings, and non-dairy options. I decided on the panda milk tea ($6.65)with regular and crystal boba. It wasn't the worst boba drink I've had, but not the best either. Maybe I need to up the sweetness next time? Or order a different specialty drink? The drink was lacking that creamy tea flavor and the boba was perfect consistency but not sweet at all. The cups were also extremely flimsy. I always drive past this place so I decided to give it a try. I was craving a milk tea without (milk) I know it doesn't make sense but I'm lactose. I probably did not order the right thing, but I did what's best for my stomach. This place doesn't have very much options for people who are lactose intolerant unfortunately I did not like my drink, but I still finish it because it was six or seven dollars. I believe I would come back again, but if I were able to see more non-dairy options I believe when I was there, I only saw two non-dairy options. I wish they would have more. I've been to Brew Cha a couple times now. Once during their soft opening and then last weekend. Experiencing their soft opening was definitely a bit hectic and a very long wait. They had lots of technical issues and were overwhelmed so I couldn't really give a full review until I came back when things settled down. It was a quicker experience in my most recent visit. The service is welcoming and the store is small inside so it's more of a grab and go type of place. What I recently ordered was their 24oz / large Crème Brûlée Milk Tea with oat milk substitute for the cost of $7.30. It's slightly on the pricier side, but the drink was satisfying. I got it at 50% sweetness which is the perfect balance of sweet enough, but not too sweet. I like their Boba too. It's chewy and soft which is how I like it. Their Crème Brûlée really made the drink stand out especially with the crispy bits from torching the top adding a nice crunch. The tea itself is good, but not out of this world good. It is pretty standard. I've also ordered the Black Sesame Matcha Latte before. I wish you could taste more black sesame flavor, but the matcha itself was good. I'd definitely prefer opting for just their regular matcha, but I still like how diverse their menu is. Although for some I'm sure it can make it harder to decide what to order. The parking lot in the apartment is a huge pain and usually full, but there is another parking lot across the street as well. I was very satisfied with their drinks. We've tried their matchas (all very green and matcha-y) as well as their oolong milk tea and peach oolong fruit tea. They just opened this month (February 2025) and I visited during their soft open so they have been working on their flow but the business owners and employees are so kind and helpful. It's really set up just to order and pickup (two tablets when you enter where you can order, so vibes are more of a to-go spot vs cafe and sit down. I had the red and black which was combining red bean and black sesame flavors. Boba add is free and toppings extra (I added the egg pudding which was fresh). Drink was delicious.
