The boba here is just phenomenal! The consistency, flavor, and size is just perfect. Hands down one of the best boba places because I definitely hate it when my boba isn't gooey. The selection of drinks is wide and different from other tea shops. The place is super cute with figurines and displays. They make their drinks look so pretty.
It's funny how many times I've passed by here and never got anything so when I finally got to try the mango pomelo sago - I didn't know what to expect but wow it's good! This actually feels like a whole dessert in a cup - so many textures and feels super worth it. I lowkey can't wait to go back and order it again! (I do wonder what else is good there, but I had such a good experience with the mango pomelo sago that ... trying may have to wait until visit 4+ heh heh heh)
First time at this location! I've been to the Cupertino and Palo Alto locations before and Wanpo is pretty up there for me when I think of authentic boba spots. No seating inside, ordering is through the kiosk. Drinks were ready within 5 minutes. I ordered the Wanpo milk tea with small pearls. I love how they have small pearls! It's super nostalgic for me and I wish every boba spot had this option. The milk tea flavor is authentic and delicious. Would come back!
A great go to boba shop in Millbrae! They do online ordering as well, so it's very convenient. During the cold times, I love to order my milk tea hot! I also love how their interior is filled with a lot of anime. This time around I tried their pistachio cheese top with Jasmine milk tea and it was soooo good!!!! My husband's go to is their Aiyu Jelly Lemon Tea.
I'd probably go out of my way for their Mango Pomelo Sago. It's supposed to be a classic Hong Kong dessert in a drink and it's absolutely delicious! I opt for less sugar and it's still sweet, without being too sweet. The mango balances so well with the other flavors. Another popular drink here seems to be their classic milk tea which I will try one day. Otherwise it's a small and convenient shop to get things to go. The service was really quick, most of the experience is self order and pick up.

As well as, if they have dairy in the drink. The wait is never too long and the parking is always super convenient. They also have fun displays in the shop of figurines big and small!
Wanted to get some milk tea in the area since I was picking up family at the airport later in the day. Found this place and so glad I did! I got the Wanpo milk tea with tiny pearls. I thought 70% sweetness was perfect. You can taste the tea and it's balanced well with the milk. Will come again!
Fancy, yet cool tea shop in Millbrae. I like tea shops that have quality tea and no sugar as an option. My lemon tea ans my pomelo lemon tea was done in a flash. The tea tasted fresh and great, not like Quickly or cheap powdered teas. Great tea spot in Millbrae.
In the beginning Wanpo use to be a hit for me with the perfect balance of tea, milk, and sweetness. Over the years they have slowly disappointed me for it feels like it has become like another one of your typical chain boba stores. Now, it tastes comparable to Sharetea to me. My usual go-to is a Wanpo Milk Tea, 70% sweet, w/ mini boba. The milk tea now tastes soo watered down. My husband got the same thing but with 50% sweetness and both drinks tastes practically the same. Like sugar watered down milk. I couldn't even taste the tea flavor and why is the boba barely sweetened? However, I will say the Cupertino location tastes better than Millbrae, BUT still. I'm probably not going to go back any time soon until they change back the quality of their teas. It feels like they've cheapened out on everything. I'm so disappointed because they are one of the only places that do mini boba

Incredible. Not too sweet, well balanced with texture and sweetness. My mom and I got the coconut purple rice taro with less sugar. This is a work of art.
Was craving milk tea and my partner and I wanted to switch up our usual spot so we decided to go nearby to Wanpo. We've heard of this boba shop before but I can't believe we missed out so long on this. Their tea flavors are really strong and not watered down. I got the Jasmine milk tea and my partner got the Tieguanying milk tea and both were so good. We also LOVE that they have small boba pearls as not many shops do that anymore. My partner also really liked their taro ball toppings, it was really fresh and not artificial. This will definitely be our go to boba shop in the future.
The boba here is always amazing. I always give it five stars. However, on my most recent visit, one of the boys on staff called me a fei mui (肥妹) and laughed derisively when I came in to pick up my order. He assumed I cannot speak Cantonese and did not understand he was making fun of me by calling me derogatory names for chubby girl in his language. He did this in front of his manager, the wanpo lady I always see. She has always been nice to me, but as she witnessed this exchange, she did not speak up or tell her staff to be considerate of paying customers. This experience greatly soured my opinion of the staff there. I hope the manager will speak to the boy on staff and teach him about appropriate workplace behavior and common human decency. Insulting someone in another language because you assume they cannot speak that language is disrespectful, childish, and uncouth.

I'm a really big fan of their mango pamelo sago! It's a perfect drink when you're craving a cold refreshing beverage. The texture of their mango is kind of like a slush. The coconut in the middle pairs really well with the mango slush and its toppings. It also comes with sago and a few mochi balls on the bottom. The mango pamelo sago is definitely one of the best ones in the area, and the overall drink is really refreshing and worth trying! Their menu has a lot of other taiwanese drinks that are pretty solid. One of them worth mentioning is the coconut purple rice taro milk. I'm usually not a big fan of coconut, purple rice, or taro, but the drink is pretty delicious, sweet, and unique. Their service is also really nice, friendly, and quick. If you order it online, they usually keep it in their refrigerator to keep your drinks cold! Lastly, I also love their decor. It's decorated with anime posters which make it feel more welcoming and fun. Love the vibes of this place and its drinks! read more

Good tasting teas and lots of variety. I was happy to see they have jinxuan oolong tea as not every shop has it. It was very aromatic and smooth. I like the large menu for fruit teas. The milk teas are a bit too milky/creamy for me, so a tea latte is the way to go if you want more tea flavor. Not really a shop for service fyi, order your drinks and go kind of spot (no greetings whatsoever). read more

Came here on a nice sunny day on the Peninsula. Was able to order quickly on the kiosk but the staff was also super friendly. There was a deal of buy one get one half off and it just so happened that I was going to order the wintermelon drink (did the recommended less sweet) and the fiancé got the black tea latte (100% sugar). They had a lot of to go orders and I was surprised that my drink was ready in less than 5 mins. First taste: refreshing but on the sweet side. It was actually sweeter than the black tea latte. Maybe ill get it even less sweet next time. But will definitely go again. read more

I'm adding Wanpo Tea Shop in Millbrae to my list of favorite milk tea shops. I love that they're consistent with their drinks, which could be due to the fact I see the same workers there each time I've visited. My go-to drink is their Tieguanyin milk tea with 30% sugar and light ice. It's creamy, delicious, and has a noticeable tea flavor. You order from a kiosk, and they do accept cash. There's a lot of anime figures, posters, plush, and lego in the store, but no seating. Wanpo is more of a grab-and-go milk tea shop. They're open daily and located inside a small plaza, so parking is easy. read more
Nice and cozy tea shop! We came on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and got lucky with parking. There's a lot of people, and we were also lucky to get a booth. I got the cotton candy grape slush tea. Would have liked more cotton candy flavor, which I could hardly taste. Would come back here to try other items from their menu. read more

Ordered a mango pomelo sago light sugar on door dash. It came on time and was delightful. I love the mango pomelo sago from Yifang tea but for a work DoorDash this spot may be my spot. The light sugar is perfect. The taro balls were a nice touch. Looking forward to trying the other drinks. read more

One of our to go boba tea shop. We usually stop by when we are in Millbrae. you order from tablet. They have plenty of choices. Every time we visit we always order either star fruit boba tea, smoke plum green tea, winter melon tea or grass jelly or grass jelly tea. You can adjust the sugar and ice level. We like the seasonal and light drink. read more
For a person who gets boba more frequently in Taiwan than here, I really enjoy the drinks at Wanpo. Until they open up a Hechalou up here in norcal, this shall be my go-to. My go to order is their tieguanyin tea latte, it has a good tea-milk ratio. For toppings, I've tried their normal and mini boba, aiyu jelly, grass jelly. I'm boring and traditional in terms of toppings, but they haven't failed me yet. Their regular boba is quite chewy/bouncy, as it should be. It doesn't have that slimy syrup aftertaste. Other drinks that I've tried were matcha latte and aiyu lemonade, both are pretty good, I just have a bias for tieguanyin in general, since that is my favorite tea of all time. Drinks are roughly in the 6-7 bucks range. They do carry things like mango sago, sugarcane drinks, winter melon drinks for those who prefer decaf. Ordering is pretty simple with 2 kiosks available. I havent ordered in person, but that should be an option. Haven't seen this place packed yet, so hardly a wait, unlike chicha san chen. The shop carries some blind boxes for sale. Only thing missing are tables, this place is strictly a grab and go spot. read more
Great variety on the menu and excellent drinks. Coconut purple rice taro milk - this also comes with boba and taro balls and is delicious. Light sweetness was perfect, and the textures were good. Taro balls are soft and chewy and boba was firmer. read more

Wanpo is one of my favorite boba shops in the Bay Area! Originally from Taichung in Taiwan, Wanpo has expanded its locations in North America and I'm sooooo glad there's one near me! This review is long overdue since I've been frequenting this shop since it opened a few years ago. One of my favorite things about Wanpo is how consistent they are! I almost always get the same few drinks and it always hits the spot. They are consistent with their sweetness levels and tea strength. These are some of my faves: Tieguanyin Milk Tea with boba, mini pearl, & yellow jelly - I love the fact that Wanpo has mini pearls as a topping option! Surprisingly rare for many boba shops. The yellow jelly doesn't have a strong flavor but I love its texture that complements the boba Passionfruit Green Tea with boba - This drink is so refreshing for warm summer days. I'm also a big fan of the crunch that comes with biting into passionfruit seeds and this drink certainly has that. Something to be aware of in case that's not your cup of tea. A few things to note about the location and interior: - The shop is located inside a plaza with parking available. I've never had issue finding a spot. - There isn't any seating inside so it's meant to be a grab-and-go kind of spot. - They process orders fairly quickly and they have a screen showing names with expected wait time for orders. Overall, I highly recommend checking out Wanpo to get your boba fix! read more

Ambience is cute and quick - and well... service is pretty standard... nothing superb about the experience but man - that one drink is everything about my Wanpo visit. Cute lil shop near SFO. Really like the decorations and when you walk in the store it smells SOOOO GOOD. You could order on the kiosk and they currently have a deal going on: b1g1 50% off. My friend got the starfruit, and it's straight up salted plum drink. Not sure if it said in the description or not but if you're not into that, just an FYI. My other friend got the grapefruit tea and it also tasted like plum. Not sure if most of their teas are plum based? For me, I personally don't like salted plum. As soon as you walk in, you know you're in a legit boba shop because the aroma of fresh brewed tea completely intoxicates you. There are so many boba shops in millbrae now and this one is a little further than the rest -- very close to McDonald's but in the next plaza. Wanpo opened around the same time as Bundow but honestly, this is way more authentic. We tried the CUSTARD BOBA MILK TEA $6.42 medium size. You can customize ice and sugar level. It does take 5-10 minutes because the shop is quite busy. A great new addition to millbrae. So many options to choose from with really great quality. The owners are very nice and they decorate the whole shop with cute anime, posters, and Lego sets which I appreciate looking at. They almost always have samples for you to try different type of drinks, you would normally gravitate towards. Super easy to order kiosks and you can order online. My order: Mango sago without pomelo - Super refreshing this is my main go-to. I love their fresh mango and taro balls. Hot taro, or hot red bean drinks - Sometimes hot drinks are the way to go and they use the real stuff! Classic milk tea - The best fix, their boba is perfect and the tea is never too strong. read more
