This is my second RV purchase and first one made out of state. I won't make that mistake again. I…read moretrusted the salesman (Barry) and the owner (Shannon) to be honest individuals and they were not. They stated that the trailer would be detailed and that it was in excellent condition. Neither of which were true. Two of the burners on the stove are broke, the kitchen faucet is so loose you can move it side to side, the inside was covered in cobwebs, all of the outside rubber seals are dry rotting, the inside of the heater and the refrigeration unit have debris and cobwebs which are a fire hazard, the inside of the toilet leading to the black tank is covered in feces, the bathroom latch will not stay closed, it's infested with spiders, there's a major bubble in the floor, etc. To add insult to injury I was going to hire an RV inspection and was told the owner was certified and would be happy to do it for me. Fool that I am!! I paid $30k for a 2018 Lance 1575 that will need some major repair work.

Now for the truth. We were here to buy a SylvanSport Go, Utility trailer/pop-up tent. Our salesman, Buddy was expecting us as my wife talked to him on the phone a couple times. He was very personable and took us around to compare different pop-ups and teardrops even though he knew we were pretty much sure on the SylvanSport. No rushing, no pressure, gave us the full info on the trailer and financing. We decided to go ahead, put down a deposit, get approved and pick up following weekend. Even before signing all the paperwork, they took us into the service department where Darrel showed us how to put up and take down from start to finish. We were in and out within an hour. I am very pleased with their service and promised that if we had any problems at all, to please give them a call. And I believe them! It is about an hour drive from my house but will gladly go back if I'm going to upgrade or for service. They offer every camper selection out there from teardrops, pop-ups, off road campers, fifth wheel, class c and so on.

I'm still looking for a replacement RV and Carolina Coach isn't too far away. We reached out to…read moretheir sales department and were in touch with Matt, who invited us to stop in. So we did and he showed us around. First, three Class B vans. These were all built on the Ram Promaster base and started at $70,000 (marked down massively from the sticker price) to over $120,000. Not a huge selection in our price range but they're nice vans even if they didn't fit my needs. While we were here, let's take a look at some of the travel trailers. Matt was again helpful, getting the gold cart and bringing us to what we wanted to see. The basic and the "one better than the basic". Both are nice and interesting and while it was the nice shiny object, it was great. Once we got into our car to head home, we realized that a travel trailer just won't work. There's no stealth and you can't park it anywhere. Especially not in my driveway or my Dad's driveway. HOA covenants and all that. We mentioned the atrocious Yelp reviews to Matt. He thinks they're fake or created by competitors. "We really don't take any notice of it. It's just a website for complaints." In the end, we didn't make a purchase from Carolina Coach. But Matt continues to be helpful and provide info. Maybe one day, they'll have something we want. [Review 16908 overall - 3235 in North Carolina - 424 of 2022.]

"We will be your best friend until the moment you write the check then we don't know you"…read more That's the message I got from Camping World in Marion NC (Tom Johnson's Camping Center). In October of last year my wife and I purchased a used "Class A" from Camping World in Marion NC. During the walk around just prior to finalizing the sale a few things were noted that were not working or broken and needed to be repaired. The tech noted these items and stated they would order the items and make repairs so the motor home would function as it was designed to do. We agreed to leave the motor home with them and would be notified when the coach was ready to be picked up. Not another word was heard from Camping World. One month later I called and was told "the wrong parts were ordered and they would be reordered the next day" Again not another word from Camping World. Two weeks later I called and was told "we have been playing phone tag with the manufacturer we will try again tomorrow." Another week goes by with no word from Camping World. The next time I called the excuses restarted with "They sent the wrong parts." I asked that the service manger assigned to my problem to please return my call. Again not a word from Camping World. As a matter of fact as of this date I have never received a phone call from anyone a Camping Word regarding my repairs that I did not have to call and request a return call. I finally gave up on my Service manager ever speaking to me directly and began talking to another manager who was not even involved with my coach. To make a long unbelievable story short, almost 3 months after purchasing this coach I was told it was repaired and ready to be picked up. When I arrived the service manager had someone bring the coach to us and stated "there you go." Because of the "Lack of Truth" in this transaction, I asked him to show me it was working. I don't even have to say it do I. The problem was not fixed and the service manage could not get it to work. I was instructed that they would repair their repair if I could return later. The broken switches inside the galley and the illuminated handle that was broken and noted for repair during the walk around were never repaired (see attached photos of the switches when the coach was delivered to me after nearly 3 months at Camping World for repair). "We will order those and send them to you" was what I was told when I picked up the coach. That was over 3 weeks ago. Do you think I have received anything or even gotten a phone call from Camping World? Nothing! Oh by the way. They had not taken any measures to keep the coach batteries healthy during the extended stay while they were "working on the Motor Home." I had to replace $500 worth of batteries without ever turning the first thing on in the coach. Batteries at 5.1 volts when I picked up the coach. Take my experience and apply it to yourself as you wish. I know I would not buy a first aid kit from the Marion NC Camping World if I was in their parking lot and had just cutoff my arm.

The service department is great they kept me in the loop and we waited for a very long time for the parts. Hats off and tons of kudos to Kenny, Taylor, Don, and Stephanie, not only for there intense efficiency, but also for their truly friendly help, expertise, and making us feel like they are "friends of the family". They promised to refund labor and parts (I spent over $500 of my own money repairing the poor workmanship), but Country Camping Corner never paid and just quit communicating. PROBLEM #1: On the first use, I discovered that the cold water line to the faucet was crossthreaded and it flooded the floor before I could shut off the water. After trying to dry it out for several days (using fans, heaters, and ripping open part of the bottom), I found that the insulation under the camper was saturated and had to be totally ripped out. PROBLEM #2: There was NO support under the left side of the tub at all. See video. I thought I was going to break a hole in the floor when I stepped in! I opened it up and the were just random scraps of trash wood shoved under it, then there was only a haphazard squirting of expanding foam on just one side! (See picture). I had to buy and install proper foam support myself. It gets better! PROBLEM #3 (AND WORST OF ALL!) Whoever installed the tub made a TUBE OUT OF TAPE TO CONNECT THE DRAIN PIPES!!! To the gooseneck pipe to the drain about 4" away!! TAPE!! A TAPE PIPE!! (See videos). That's why it was still sopping wet and never dried! I made multiple trips to Lowes to try to figure out a solution and try to match up the pipe connections. BTW...I should have been wary when I picked up the camper, because the same guy ripped about an 8x8 inch square in the ceiling over the tub (during the removal of the old tub apparently). It was repainted but still looked crappy. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!
