RV owners should strongly evaluate where that service is performed. We brought our Ember travel trailer to Camping World - Concord, NC for what should have been minor, manufacturer-approved warranty repairs. We had already coordinated the claim and parts directly with Ember, who was responsive and supportive throughout the process. Unfortunately, once the camper was in Camping World's custody, the experience turned into a months-long ordeal. During the service period: * Parts ordering was repeatedly delayed despite the issue already being diagnosed * The manual brake system housing/frame area was damaged while in service * All entertainment system connections were removed or disconnected for unknown reasons * Water line connections broke while the camper was in dealer custody, later requiring repair * Our Lippert jack is now non-functional and must be replaced * The camper sat on their lot for an extended period, resulting in four months of storage costs To be fair, our Service Advisor Ryan Jacobs was consistently professional, polite, and responsive. He appeared to be navigating delays and capacity issues beyond his control. Since getting the camper back, we have also noticed small irregularities such as items being out of place or missing (including brand-new headlamps and flashlights stored inside). While minor compared to the larger issues, it raises concerns about how the unit was handled while in service. Ember's support during the process was excellent. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the dealership service execution. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Camping World - Concord, NC for warranty service. read more

Walk the lot on your own if you are not looking to purchase right away. We saw a few people doing that and should have done the same. It was our 1st time there and we went inside first. We went in just to get an idea of what options were out there. They assigned us a sales person. Because we know they work on commission, we let him know upfront we were not there to purchase this YEAR. They waisted our time and theirs by sitting us down, and trying to force a sale and tried to get us to sign a paper that we wanted to lock in on a camper we didn't even like. We were shown several RV's and campers, but none that had all of the features we wanted in our budget. After the showings, the salesman brought us back into his office even after we told him several times, we were not purchasing and needed to leave, several times. We didn't want to be rude and just walk away. The salesman proceeded to keep trying to convince us to buy, we kept saying no He then says just wait right here I'll be back in just a minute and he comes back with another salesman who proceeds to try and show other options on the computer. Again we said we were short on time and had to leave, these people kept talking! At this point we stood up and said we'll reach out when we're ready and we left. It was a horrible experience. Also, they called us a couple hours after leaving. I didn't answer. They left a message trying to get us to come back. After all of the no's and us saying we were not buying this year why would you call the same day and harasse me. Number blocked. I hated the sales tactics. Camping World - Concord location, NC - THE WORST buying experience I have ever had. While on vacation in North Carolina, I decided to visit Camping World to explore upgrading my 20ft Pioneer--a decision I regret every single day. After hours of negotiations, the Sales Manager Robert and I shook hands on a deal, and I was told to return the next day to finalize everything. The following day, while already on my way to the dealership, I received a call saying the deal was no longer valid unless I agreed to pay an additional ~$50 per month. That was unacceptable. I immediately turned around and went back to the campground with my family. A few hours later, someone named Griffin, who identified himself as the General Manager, called me claiming they would honor the original agreement. That was the moment I should have trusted my instincts and walked away--but unfortunately, I didn't. When I returned, things only got worse. The "new" 26ft Coleman RV suddenly had multiple defective parts that needed repair before delivery, causing hours of delays. I arrived at 2:00 PM and didn't receive the walkthrough until around 7:00 PM. Even then, the walkthrough was poorly done as I knew more about the RV than the person explaining it. The condition of the unit was unacceptable: black streaks all over the front (which they promised but failed to clean), malfunctioning locks, and overall lack of basic quality control. When I asked Griffin for simple tools to remove the easy-lift supports from my old trailer, he refused and instead tried to charge me $300 for a 5-minute job--after I had just spent $30,000. I ended up doing it myself with tools I found in my truck. To make matters worse, I was forced into purchasing a $2,000 "starter kit" that included items I already owned--it was presented as "take it or no deal." Since then, I have contacted corporate multiple times trying to reach the regional manager, Amber, and have received zero response after two weeks. No one from the Concord location has taken any responsibility or followed up on the awful service. What's even more disappointing is that my first experience with Camping World at the Fort Pierce location was outstanding. The team there was professional, thorough, and made sure everything worked perfectly before I left. That experience gave me confidence in the brand; confidence that the Concord location completely destroyed. At this point, my "brand-new" RV is sitting at the Fort Pierce location, where their excellent service team is fixing the many issues that should have been addressed before delivery. The Concord team is dishonest, unprofessional, and completely lacks integrity. They are a disservice to the brand and undermine the hard work of the good people at other locations. When even a regional manager won't return your call after such a terrible experience, it says everything about the culture and leadership at that location. Do yourself a favor--stay far away from this location. They do not deserve your time, your trust, or your money. read more

Have had a bad experience from day one of picking up camper and continued problems from dealer install slide toppers and a tankless hot water heater that will work unless you open up two faucets to get flow. This has happened at every campground so it's not about pressure, it's about flow. Service department can seem to get me the water filter wrench 6 months(very ridiculous). They tell me I have the right one when I send them pictures and video to show it doesn't fit. Quality of the Salem Hemisphere "Elite Series" is far from Elite. Can't get the location GM to respond back or call me after multiple attempts. So Bobby, I will be escalating to corporate. read more

If I could rate this 0 I would. This is our second time buying an RV. The first was with another dealer. We have had nothing but absolute run around. We left vacation early to make it here to do a walk through this past Saturday. Upon arrival no one knew we were coming. We sat for over an hour until someone walked by asking if we needed help. We got to look at the unit however it was not even ready to show. They were cleaning and repairing it when that should have been done prior to us arriving per our sales rep. We then were told to drop our truck and trade off that Monday to get hitch installed. Upon arrival on Monday yet again no one was expecting us. We were told the hitch would be installed and ready by Tuesday for pick up yet when we talked to service they told us Wednesday (today). We were without a vehicle for two days.. Today we arrive at 3pm and as I'm writing this review 3 hours have passed and we still have not signed papers. The whole experience has been TERRIBLE. We should have listened to friend and family about this place. Save your self the trouble and go somewhere else. Finance was probably the only decent department. They at least sat down with us and answered questions thats the sales team couldn't/didnt. I I will shout out Kim and give her 5/5 stars for consistently checking on us and trying to get us help through this whole experience. She even sat with us and we talked about our dogs and campers. My Fiancé and I bought a Brand New RV from then , sent a deposit and drove across country with our German Shepherd in the back of our truck, We gave them 2 weeks notice of our arrival, our appointment was Saturday at 1 pm We arrived at 12 anxious to get Back on the road home. They were nowhere near to be ready for us to leave with our trailer Installation Guy said " He was Not even aware he needed to install the TV, generator etc until the day prior (Friday at 5 pm!!) Our sales person was no where to be found all day We called texted him, he finally showed his face briefly, to disappearing again. We had to ask the car washing team to wash our RV, they were sending it out dirty, we found lots of nuts and bolts Sitting around the RV, the tech said they were not needed !! By the time they called us in to sign paperwork it was late and rushed ( you know how it is when you buy a vehicle!) The finance guy kept saying he didn't know the answers to our questions he just did the numbers, the manager had to come a couple of times the #'s did not match what we had been quoted on paper. By the time we were done the store was closed Lights out !! We were the last ones out, our sales guy didn't know what all the keys were for, wanted to keep them we ended Keeping them to find out later on our own they belonged to the storage Obviously!! On our way home we had to be towed They had left the brakes on the hitch attached and truck was struggling with the wind and bad roads , we had to get towed to the nearest town. 2 blocks from home the spare tire Became loose and was dragging the underbelly falling apart it could had gotten on fire !!! Later we found 20 things that did not work !! The oven had to be replaced, the solar panels not working , the water heater not working !! Just to name a few things. It's been a nightmare !! We called emailed you name it !! It's been in the shop in California for 2 months and counting !! We've had to cancel 4 trips my birthday trip and Fathers Day weekend Today was the last one We cancelled since parts are still not available We are sooo disappointed!! Had been in contact with camping world for about a month and half. We had found a camper that we liked and they told us it would be 486.00 a month for 10 years. The price of said camper was 24,499. We found a better interest rate and payment 5.25% and 290 a month from our local credit union. We had spoken with Danny Dixon who was the sales man we had been in touch with that we had secured a loan and would like to move forward with purchasing our camper he said great what day could we come in and asked if we had a check which we had a cashiers check for the total price of the camper. so we set up an appointment for 3/22/26 at 12 o clock. we drove 3&1/2 hours to concord to get our camper. we arrive at 11:45am and Danny meets us at the door and takes us out to our camper to check it over and see everything work. we checked the camper out and hooked our truck to it while we waited for the paper work to be printed as Danny said the printers were down. I told my wife that I felt like the salesman was talking to us as if we were uneducated about a camper. He told us we could pull back around that the paper work was ready. So we pull back around and he tells us he will be out to get us shortly. So he comes out and gets the check and goes back. He is gone for awhile and comes back and says that we're not going to be able to take the camper home because we didn't bring a "cashiers check" although it was a cashiers check and had a official letter attached to it from our credit union stating that they were the lein holder of the camper it had the info for the camper down to the vin number on the letter. I kept trying to ask questions but the salesman kept cutting me off and trying to talk over me. At this point I got agitated and told him to stop talking over me. I tried to explain that we had traveled 200 miles for this camper because it's the one we wanted. He then tells us we can pay to have it delivered. I told him we would absolutely not pay to have it delivered that they would pay for that if I couldn't leave with it. So he took us back to this little office and in comes the sales manager Kate. She starts with the same thing of we will have to leave it there and pay 3 dollars a mile to have it delivered which she referred to as inexpensive. We continued to tell them we weren't paying for delivery and she said she would see if they could cover delivery which she came back and said they would cover the shipping cost. She then proceeded to tell us that she could try to get us financed through them and we could take the camper home. We explained that they told us the best they could do was 486 a month she said they could get that lower by going a longer term. I asked her if they could beat 5.25% and she said no and we both told her exactly we weren't financing something to pay more for it through them. They then told us that we would be waiting for an hour for paper work to print and that we should go get lunch. So we left to go eat. no more than we set down in a restaurant Danny messages me and says we're ready to do paperwork. So we return to do paperwork after eating and we leave without our camper. Monday morning rolls around and we call our bank and tell them that they said we didn't have a cashiers check which our bank responded that it was in fact a cashiers check And that they should've known that hence the letter and that they couldve verified the bank by doing an easy search. I've called numerous times today (Monday) and have been sent straight to voicemail. Finally got a call back from them about 4:30 pm and I asked why they told me I needed a cashiers check and had one and still didn't get to bring our camper home. I was then told that they prefer a personal check over a cashiers check. Now we're being told the check has cleared and they will be scheduling delivery. At this point I don't think they have a clue what's going on. If we ever get our camper we will never walk into that place again. read more

Hope For the Best when having service. Made appointment last week in November for warranty work on new camper. Dropped camper off 3 days early before appointment because of work schedule. After a week past appointment date called because we had not gotten complimentary text that our camper was in review. Service guy could not find my camper in their system. Jokingly I asked was it sitting over his shoulder out on the main entrance where I dropped it 9 days earlier. He came back to say in was in a bay for inspection and they would send text a second time. 24hrs later my spouse is attending her Christmas luncheon for work in the area and as she passes CW there sits our camper still where I dropped it now 10 day later. She takes a picture of the back with the tag and calls to see what the statis is. When they call back they say it is in the shop being looked at and want to argue. Well, fast forward the day to pick it up and one of my side storage compartments is open when I arrive. I was told they had to use my power cord. That was the cord that came with the camper and was behind stuff because we never had used it. It was cold and windy, so I just wanted to get out of there. Of course I had to get it and roll it up only to realize they never cut the battery off and killed it so I had to hook it back up to work the jack to hook up. By now I am freezing and just wanting to get in my truck. Three days later I go out and open the storage door that was open when we arrived only to notice my tool box was missing. Called CW that night left a message assuming that the tech had to remove the toolbox to even see the power cord so hoped it was set out in the shop and forgotten to put back in. Never assumed anything more as it was obvious to see then access the cord you would have to remove the toolbox. Of course when they called back it wasn't there. I asked could you look at the cameras and see if the tech took it out and simply forgot to put back and still waiting for that response. Although we were told you sign the sheet stating CW not responsible for theft or damage I asked at what point when your tech unlocks a locked compartment does it not fall under your responsibility. Then it turned to "Why did we not file a police report?" It was obvious the toolbox was removed to access the cord and we felt it was a honest mistake and would get it back. Now let me add, NOTHING ELSE in that compartment was moved or disturbed. Sorry, but one would think that intentional stealing they would have went through the whole storage compartment to see what else was of value. But then again this may be what is referred to as "organized" crime because they organized everything else back the way it was minus the cord and toolbox. Anyhow, police report filed, still no camera review acknowledged from CW. More frustrated with CW's response to the whole matter than losing the toolbox. We went from assuming it was a honest mistake on their side to feeling like we were 100% at fault and they could care less. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD. I've had a really bad experience with them, and it's something my wife and I deeply regret. We bought a brand-new 2023 RV, and within two weeks, we brought it back to get some minor repairs done under their 45-day tune-up policy. One of the main issues was that they gave us the wrong key set--the keys didn't work for the back or side doors, and we couldn't even open the battery compartment. Turns out, they gave us someone else's key set. After about a month of waiting for the assessment, they agreed to replace the door locks, fix a leaking sink, and take care of a few other small issues. They told me it could take weeks or months for the parts to come in, so I decided to take the RV on vacation and return it when the parts arrived. When I came back to pick it up, before I even pulled it off the lot, I noticed that the side door was dented and damaged. The damage looked like one of their repairmen had trouble getting in and, in frustration, damaged the door. I addressed this finding right away, before hooking my RV to my 4runner. I pointed it out right away and showed them the video evidence I had taken when I dropped it off, clearly showing that the RV was in perfect condition before I left it with them. Despite this, they refused to take responsibility and suggested I go through my own insurance to fix it, even though the damage was on them. At that point, I tried to dispute it with them, but they didn't seem to care. They told me they'd "bend the door back" when I brought it back for final repairs, but I didn't want that. I bought a brand-new RV, and I expected it to take it home new, not damaged. I have photos, recordings of dispute, a police report, and video evidence showing that the RV was fine when I left it with them, and I also have photos of the damage when I picked it up. After everything that happened, I just lost all confidence in them. I didn't even return the RV for the remaining repairs because I felt like I would just come back with more problems that they'd cause. It's been almost two years, and they never followed up or did anything to fix the situation. I'm still pacing back and forth whether to sue but hesitant since this journey will put more stench to our new RV Journey. I really am trying to get past it. But every time we travel to RV camp, the first my young family and I see is the damaged door, right in front of our eyes. My family and I love our RV, but this experience has really soured my view of Camping World. I've been telling everyone in my family to steer clear of them because I don't want anyone else to go through what we did. This was right after the pandemic, and the dealership even said I was "helping them meet their quota" at the end of the month, which just makes everything worse. I will continue to advocate against them, and possibly take legal action, and I'll continue to share my experience on social media to make sure people know what they're really like. Everything was butterflies and colorful before signing the paperwork, I advise all of you to keep the papers unsigned and live peacefully. Staying at the Camping World campground, NEXTDOOR, today on our way escaping Hurricane Debby and just asked for someone to look at the unit for minor warranty parts. They refused to walk out the door to write a ticket! We are not wanting anything"fixed". We just need them to see a broken cabinet door and floor vents. SO frustrated with the poor customer service. This is my second experience buying an RV from Camping World, the first being in Myrtle Beach, SC, and now this one in Concord. First experience was hiccup-free. I was shopping for an RV as temporary shelter for my son and his family of 6 following a house fire that rendered the home uninhabitable. Rebuilding will take 2-3 months, during which family is in a hotel, mostly at son's expense. (Insurance does not cover much of period.) We had a most pleasant interaction with everyone at the dealership, but got a young, seemingly relatively inexperienced salesman who appeared so fixated on closing a sale that he failed to appreciate that a sale isn't over until the customer has what he expects, in this case, a unit delivered within 1-2 days. We were frustrated with the assurances that were ultimately empty and, before that, the strung-out paperwork requiring return trips to the dealership, two hours away. We just needed to know realistically when the rig would be delivered and whether we should make alternative arrangements to have an RVer friend pick it up for us if delivery date was too far out. Sales manager Griffin Fitzgerald hustled to make an early delivery after I followed up with him the next day. Still, the prolonged pushing leading up to that, with no concrete time bordered on infuriating. read more

I went to Camping World for the first time on May 4th. I found a used camper that I wanted to buy but because there was a leak(it was raining and water was coming through inside),I required that it be fixed before signing the paperwork. I instead put a deposit down. After being told by the salesperson that the leak was fixed a few days later, I returned to CW on May 11th to complete the deal. During the walkthrough, I had them spray the camper with the hose to make sure the leak was repaired. It wasn't, water came through just like it did when it rained. At this point I was aggravated because I had canceled a beach trip so that I could sign the paperwork, after being told it was fixed. When I explained this to the salesperson, Patton, I was told that he never told me it was fixed. That was a lie. I had a text from him saying so. When I told him this, he blamed it on "miscommunication." Let's face facts, had I never sprayed the camper with the hose that day, I would have bought a damaged camper. After spending almost 3 hours at CW, I left with the understanding that the leak, along with several other items, would be fixed within the next few days. I returned on May 18th, after being told again that everything had been fixed. Upon inspection of where the leak was, it looked like a flock of bald eagles took a dump on the camper. And no, it wasn't poop, it was the horrible seal job that was done. It was like someone took a handful of sealant and just threw it down over the cracks. At this point, I'm beyond frustrated. I spent 3 Saturdays, canceled 2 beach trips so that I could reinspect a leak that was never repaired even though I was told it was. After talking to the Patton, I decided to move forward with the deal but only after the leak was fixed correctly. I was told that it would be fixed right away and that he would call me by Tuesday. Tuesday came and nothing. Wednesday, still nothing. Thursday I reached out to Patton and after another day of bad customers service, I decided to walk away from the deal. From the beginning, it was a bad experience. From the lies told, impatient and rushed sales manager, deceitful sales tactics, wasted time, and ridiculous $695 prep fee(to clean and show us customers how to use it), I would never recommended this Camping World. And Camping World, please do not respond to this review with your bs scripted nonsense. If you cared, you would have done better. If you took my concerns seriously, it would have been addressed accordingly and during the transaction. read more

Worst experience I've seen. They had sent the financial paperwork to an address that didn't exist and after driving off with the camper, found out there was no 30 day tag on the trailer. They also took a very long time and had me sitting before getting ahold of the bank. The finance pushed the date to the next day on account of the insurance which shouldn't have mattered because the pick up date was on a Saturday. This is an update to our previous review. It is now 9/2/25 and we still HAVE NOT received our RV back. Camping World in Concord has had it since 5/20. Good Sams Insurance is dishonest to say the least. Even though we were told at the time of purchase the extended warranty would cover EVERYTHING on the coach period, it has been a continuous battle. Our a/c was not working, the converter was not working, and the GFI outlet. After FINALLY sending an auditor out, who came back with nothing was wrong, which was totally dishonest, they said they will replace the a/c and GFI outlet. Good Sams Insurance is now saying they will NOT cover the converter. We are still waiting and waiting and waiting. So much for any camping trips this summer...now we are going into fall and still have not received our RV back. PLEASE save yourself allot of frustration and stress and buy elsewhere and don't use Good Sams for your insurance.... read more

Avoid this place like the plague, I wish it had zero stars or negative. Had in for basic repairs, 1st was a side marker the wire was cut inside the body panel, they told me it was fixed and charged me, when i hooked it up it wasnt fixed, took two more weeks to fix. Second issue I paid for the roof inspection / seal, the same week I got it back went camping and water was dripping into camper, got on roof when I got home and the technicians didnt even get on the roof, multiple caulk seems had gaps, nothing addressed, and none of this was brought up to me as an inspection, which i could understand if it didnt include new caulking but it did. Everyone leaving a positive review is a fake (employee) or it was their first time there and they got lucky, give it time. read more

My wife and I wanted to check out a camper we saw online. Made an appointment for Monday at 6. Showed up with some friends, CW acted like they had never hear of us. Then the sales rep rode us around the entire place looking for the camper they knew we were coming to see. My wife was riding behind us and actually found the camper. 45 minutes wasted. We then discussed pricing with Nate in financing. After 3-4 attempts the numbers he showed us looked decent. He told me wife he would send her the exact quotes the next day after checking our credit. No word at all. I called on Wednesday and Nate was on vacation. Meanwhile my contact named Savannah sent me two quotes (took her all day Thursday to send to correct email). Then on Friday a salesman named Robert whom we never met called to say they have another buyer with deposit in hand. Samantha then set us up with a 2 pm appointment on Sunday. The look on the front desk receptionist when we showed up was priceless. Totally clueless, we were not in the system at all. We were told to go sit in the lounge area and someone would be with us shortly. Well one hour past, then two, then three. Several people stopped by to discuss and said they would take care of us then they disappeared and we never saw them again. Now its close to 5 pm and closing time. I showed him the quote sent to me by Samantha and ask him where did these figures come from. He just shrugged his shoulders and said I don't know. So some idiot named Savannah was sending me quotes to entice us to come in and you don't know where they came from ? Just a total waste of time. People running all around that place and none of them have a clue. Worst customer experience I have ever had. There's a stench on Bruton Smith BLVD and its coming from Camping World. Sales Management will convince you that your motorhome will be safe. They added a track bar in front. I still have problems won't track straight. We need an additional rear track bar to resolve this. They will only do it if I pay for it. It should be installed at the expense of Camping World since I have had this tracking problem since the day they sold it to me. BEWARE!!!! This is the absolute WORST experience I have ever had buying a vehicle!!!! The customer service in this place is awful, the salesmen are NOT knowledgeable about the campers, and don't particularly care about finding out or giving the correct information. I wish I would have read the review on yelp before making my purchase, I had to switch salesmen because The first one I had showed zero interest in me as a customer or providing info about the camper I was interested in purchasing. After switching salesmen, and finalizing the deal the aftercare and followup is nonexistent. If I contacted my salesmen about an issue after taking delivery his demeanor was if I was bothering him. The camper had warranty needed repairs necessary after one day of use (this was a brand new 2024). Going through the service department not one person is on the same page throughout the long and tedious waiting game to get a repair approved and done. Each person in this location seems to operate on their own without knowing what anyone else is doing. It's not uncommon for numerous people to contact you about the same issue all unaware that four others have already requested the same information. This non-communication happens in ALL the departments from sales to service to warranty. I would NEVER recommend or buy again from this location and I don't think they care judging by the horrible reviews on this site and they have not taken any steps to get better. Part 2. Avoid this place for all sales and service. After part 1, they replied and asked I email corporate rather than contacting me to assist. RV was dropped off on 12/7 for various warranty work on Brand New Cougar fifth wheel. after 2 months we finally took it home with broken lock on bay which holds lithium batteries. I agreed to pick it up and they would mail lock for me to install. after almost 30 days and multiple calls to Lilly it appears lock was never ordered and it will be another 2 weeks before they receive and mail it to us. Absolutely no follow up and horrible communication. Does anyone believe it takes 4-6 weeks to get a lock I can get in 1-2 days on Amazon. I'll update but beware if you do business with them. Once you buy it's see you later and I assume their warranty is worthless if they can't fix a lock in 2 months. They don't care at Camping World about customers. read more

11/20/2019 We dropped the RV off for the 3rd time to fix ongoing "we owe" broken window shades and a few repairs that we noted in the hydraulic leveling system and slide out. 12/10 received an email with a work order attached, they noted 9 items needing repair, 2 I agreed were in fact items we would be responsible for, albeit reluctantly. The "we owe" shade repair is now a we pay item. I responded immediately cc'ing the GM and Service Manager at the store. Several weeks pass without a response or phone call. Finally my husband called them, at this point they have had the RV over a month and the work still is not done. Leslie P., "VIP Service Rep", rudely stated since we owned the RV for 9 months these items could have broken during that time and they would not be responsible for the repairs AND because I did not give them permission to charge our warranty they haven't done anything, including what repairs 1/21/2020 Still haven't heard a word from CW again my husband drove out there to check. After walking around the main service/sales lot he could not locate our RV so he headed across the street. Yep, there she sat a muddy mess. While they had disconnected the main batteries, again no one bothered to turn off the house batteries and they were completely drained. My husband did talk to the service manager Jeffery and it was agreed that CW would replace our house batteries with new ones. He also said that they (CW) would be opening some of the onsite camping areas for parking RVs while in for repairs, this would allow them to at least be plugged into electricity to avoid battery failure in the future. 1/26/2020 Went to visit our RV again hoping something had been done. Why yes they did move it but just to a different spot in the field. The storage compartments are still unlocked and the house batteries are still dead. So other than moving it a few hundred feet nothing has happened. So far we have visited it 3 or 4 times while out in the field and never once have we been approached by anyone from CW to ask what we were doing, did we need help, would we like to go joyriding or looking for spare parts (tailpipe maybe). This seems to be an ongoing security issue with CW in my opinion. We then went across Bruton Smith Blvd to the store, I spoke with Tracy at the service desk, asked to speak with the store manager (Kim) or assistant manager. Neither were in. 1/31/2020 Called CW to speak with Leslie P our "VIP Service Rep" around 9:30am, of course got her voice mail and left a message. Called CW to speak with Jeffrey B the Service Manager, at approx 12:30pm left message. No return call from either. 2/1/2020 Called the Store Manager, Kim H, again went to voice mail, left message. Did receive a call back from Ashley, Kim is in meetings and too busy but will call back on Monday around noon. The part for the shade is scheduled to be there on 2/13/2020. 2/12/2013 Received a call from Leslie P. at 4:12pm. Our RV is finally ready to be picked up. The batteries were load tested and "were" fine, therefore CW decided they would not replace any of the batteries as previously agreed. We do not agree with this and asked to speak with Kim H the manager, she apparently is out sick today. Leslie asked what time on Friday we could pick it up, unfortunately we are not available this Friday but will be in on Saturday she mentioned that was her day off, based on her lack of communication with us previously I doubt she needs to be there anyway. HopefullyAfter talking with hubby about this we have decided not to pick up RV until the battery situation is resolved. 2/28/2020 Well today's the day! Our RV is finally finished. CW retested the batteries and replaced 3 of the 8 batteries, do I trust that the other batteries are good.... bottom line no. I would strongly advise anyone looking to purchase or service any type of recreational vehicle, camper or trailer to stay as far away from ANY Camping World based on their level of customer service and post purchase client treatment we received. Honestly I don't care anymore, the whole CW experience has been a nightmare and I no longer look forward to hitting the road in our RV. 3/31/2019 purchased RV 6/3/2019 returned RV to CW for "we owe" repairs 57 days at CW 8/1/2019 returned RV to CW ongoing "we owe" repairs 19 days at CW 11/20/2019 returned RV to CW ongoing issues 100 days at CW 176 days = 5.786 months for repairs of ongoing issues. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. Stay FAR AWAY from this place. First of all, never buy a new camper. Secondly, don't buy anything from camping world. We bought our camper a year ago. Every point of contact we've made in that time has been fired or quit. They will scam you, they will lie to you, they will make any empty promise they can to take your money. Our situation changed and we sent our camper back to camping world for consignment. They assured us they'd have it sold within a month. After four months we dropped by to check in. Not only was it priced WAY too high to sell so that they could make another $10,000 profit off of it, it was sitting in the back of the lot covered in dirt and dust inside and out. I took nine months to write this review. We bought a camper from Camping World Concord during Thanksgiving 2022. The camper was a showroom piece, and there was minor wear and tear, they promised to make it brand new. Any idea when we received it? By April of 2023. The problem is not the price or date. My experience so far: No coordination: They absolutely do not have any coordination between their departments. Everybody was given a task and thats it, no one cares about if the "job" is "complete" and the customer is satisfied. Frustrating Communication: They will not keep you informed, if you call and drop a message, no one will call you back. You have no idea when you are going to get back your camper because no one knows what is going on. Furthermore, during 1st week of august, noticed that the bolt of the slide-out pully came out. I called them and requested that I have 1 week before a major camping trip, and they replied that they are busy & can take it after 10 days (understood, I cannot expect emergency repair). After 10 days I dropped it, and the service told me that they will take a few weeks to fix it. Remember, it's just 2 broken bolts. After a week, as usual, I did not receive any response, no calls. After 2/3 messages, I finally got hold of the service lady, and she said they have to order the complete pully system to get the bolt fix and they don't know when the parts will arrive. After 3 more weeks: I had another weekend camping trip coming up, as it was my son's birthday and by that time I was a very frustrated camping world customer. I called the service person and picked up my camper and fixed the issue on the same day by another RV repair mobile service. Another frustration: While picking it up, noticed that my newly upgraded battery cover with a battery monitor is not there when asked, the service lady brought the technician, and he shook my hand and casually said: "it was there when I left it!!!" After wasting 1 hour, when I was about to leave, a driver found it and handed me over the cover. How unprofessional?!! It could have happened to any other parts, maybe $200 battery too..the response would have "well, it was there when I left the job" Since we bought it, in the last 10 months, the camper was at their service center for about 4 months! Another big mistake I made, I bought the good sam extended warranty, and as I got a clear idea of their fixing cycle, for a single bolt, they may ask me to wait for 2-3 months. We purchased a class A Motorhome in February and they never mailed us our tag as promised. We have reached out so many times for our tag and it's so hard to reach out to Michelle who handles the title. She either was not at her desk or we left message and never got a call back. As of today we never got the tag and no one seemed to care. Our temporary tag has expired and we won't be able to be driving without a tag. Michelle finally called us after I called corporate, and she said they just got the title from another store 3 days ago. Why werent we informed that they didn't even have the title When they're selling it to us!!! we were promised a call back 2 days ago and got nothing. I would give this dealership a zero if I could. They are the most uncooperative and lazy service and dealership we have ever dealt with. We bought a brand new rig 6 weeks ago, brought it back 2 weeks ago for 4 things that don't work, including the gas pump motor and the fridge unit. They are incapable of doing anything quickly, communicating or following through. Their GM Kimberly is never on site and even though her sign says 'If I'm not happy, then she's not happy" is complete BS. We have called the corporate office 3 times and while they say the problem can be fixed before our 5 week planned trip in 1 day the can't get ahold of Kimberly or the service manager to discuss a solution. It is an embarrassment in today's customer experience world to have such a poorly run service department and business. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID AND WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. This is our 3rd RV and there are always things wrong with a new unit. But, if you want to use it in the first year, DON'T BUY HERE - THEY DON'T CARE AND IT WILL TAKE THEM MONTHS TO FIX YOUR BRAND NEW RIG. read more

The communication -- horrible. Worst than a car dealership, literally all the negative about a car dealership is amplified here at camping world. Running the numbers means nothing - you can be told one thing by the finance/sales manager and then you make an appointment with the rude snippy front desk girls and yes the appointment was kept however-- after hours of sitting there only to be told 100% opposite of what the finance / sales manager said ( I assume it was that - for they are unsure as to what that person actually does or who that person is ) There is very low accountability. The show process was not ideal -- make sure you in with a plan. Serial numbers and models etc. because they will say we don't have that one and they will push you into a different model and you will never see what you actually came into see. Turns out it magically appears !! Then you sit in the office going through it all and they will then come out and say Well that one you liked is gone ( in a matter of minutes) and throw you into the pricier model. Another fun fact is " mandatory " class that you will get financed to learn about it your RV for like 3 hours. Needles to say they make 0 deals -- they don't care. I mean I have never had such an experience like this. Worst than a car dealership. Then the make you sit on the phone and call their insurance company - which you know they get a referral. Kick back !! They say military discount - but just discussing it during the questionnaire process . Does not mean they will honor it!! Ugh over this.
