Update: After posting a negative review on Yelp, the owner has threatened me a breach of contract, legal action and CPS. He DEMANDED that I remove my posting. Had he asked me nicely I probably would have given it some thought. He filed a false report to social services 32 days after I removed my daughter from his daycare (25 days after I posted a negative review on yelp). The more he retaliates and threatens me the more encouraged I am to expose his unethical behavior. If you're thinking of sending your child to this place, why would you tolerate this type of behavior from an owner who thinks CPS is a joke and will use it against you just so you remove your one star rating on Yelp? There are plenty of good daycares within a one mile radius from Sunrise. If you want a business who thinks he is above the law, an owner who thinks he has the upper hand, then sunrise could be the place for you. Also, please be aware that some of the five star ratings on here are fake and you can guess who created the fake accounts. I posted screenshots of those fake accounts but Yelp took it down (which is fine). Some came from PAID REVIEWERS to boost the ratings and yes they exist. Some are legitimate from real parents who went on a tour and were impressed with Tuan's BS (just like us) but lucky for them they never did end up enrolling their children. But don't just take my word for it, please apply good judgment and be skeptical of the ones that sounds like a marketing strategy. Also, if there was anyone deserving the business, it should go to those honest businesses who are willing to listen when you have concerns and not threaten you with legal action and CPS. I always believe that good will overcome evil. It may not happen overnight but I know it will eventually catch up to this owner. read more

Sunrise children's center is now threatening to sue if I do not remove my post. All of my information is true and accurate. I have documents to prove it. They are now violating my first amendment right to post a review as well as the fair consumer review act. 3 parents so far have received a threat to sue if they do not remove their negative review. This is not okay to cover up the issues here. Sunrise children center also is lying to the BBB making allegations of us abusing our children as the reason we withdrew our children and have a bill. None of it is accurate. There have never been any reports of abuse. This mandated reporter is now lying about abuse. If he had claims of abuse they should have been reported. He is using child protective services as a threat to get me to pay and remove my review. Do not trust this place. Talk to the parents that pulled their children from here. He has threaten with collections, child protective services, and now legal action. I have nothing to hide and I refuse to be bullied because of my accurate experience with this business. He should treat parents better instead of threatening us to lie about our experience here. This place needs to be shut down or get new ownership. Please look at my attached photo. I crossed the lawyers name out but all of it is what we received. They claimed to the lawyer that my reports to Social services were not substantiated. This is not true at all. My wife and I were so happy that we were able to find a place that we were comfortable with for our three children, 8yr,6yr,20mnth. Mr. Tuan greeted us with smiles and an open hand. He offered after school assitance with the children's homework, developmental training for our youngest, and everything else that he pawns off on his packet. He even offered my family a discount since my wife and I are both prior service active duty military members. We both thought that we had found a place that our children would be safe and we would be comfortable. Then between the bullying of my daughter, the biting of my baby, the food issues, and the intermingling of older and younger kids our complaints went unattended so we filied a complaint. When we filied the complaint we hoped that Mr. Tuan would understand our points of view and see that there were areas of his facility that needed to be adjusted. WE DID NOT HAVE PLANS TO REMOVE OUR CHILDREN. The day following the initial investigation contact by Patricia, it was a wednesday, Mr. Tuan called my wife and informed her that our children would no longer be attedning the center and that we would not be allowed back. He stated that it was due to his inability to provide the care that we needed. Due to the fact you pay a week in advance i felt like i was owed prorated money for thursday and friday since he kicked us out. After a brief conversation with him over the phone in which i told him he had alot of balls for refusing to pay back money for thursday and friday care, again since he terminated us on a Wednesday. His response was that i had alot of balls filing a complaint. I then very unprofessionaly told him to keep the money for his sitations he would be receiving, i know not good but i was upset. At this point i thought the situation was done and we would be able to move on with our lives. Until we received a letter in the mail from Mr. Tuan March 31, stating we owed $888.00 for breach of contract, basically its the money that we would have paid for the remaining month my children would have been in the center, THAT IS UNTIL HE KICKED US OUT. This letter is attached, the post date on it is literally the day after the final investigation report was done, closing the investigation. He waited until then to sent out a letter demanding money and threaten with collection agencies. On top of this you can see first hand his negative, arragont responsis on these yelp reviews, I am sure he will leave a sarcastic, padantic remark on this one as well. He even went as far as to tell a parent on yelp he suspected that their child was being abused at home, on yelp, dont you think if that were real and he honestly cared about these children he would have reported it to the authorities or anything, not put it in some comment block on here just because that mother posted a negative review. Please take the time to go read all of these reviews, im sure by the time he sees this they will be deleted. If you want to see them let me know we have copies of everything he said. He undermines all negative comments. This is the kind of person you are willing to entrust the life of your child with, this is the kind of "man" who you are conducting business with. This individual has a smile on his face and his hand in your pocket looking for your wallet, he will do whatever, and say whatever to brush off your concerns, your fears, and ultimately get rid of you for causing any issues. It is not a matter of "IF" something bad will happen at this center it is a matter of "when" something bad will happen. This is a 0 star so let's be clear on that! Each time I dropped my daughter off, the teachers didn't seem enthusiastic with their jobs. Even though we packed clean clothes for my daughter, she would come home dirty with food all over her and wearing the same clothes. My wife asked the teacher why they didn't clean her when there were clean clothes in the diaper bag, the teacher said she didn't know she was allowed to open the bag. Any experienced teacher (or even an inexperienced teacher with the right mind) would know why parents leave diaper bags to a daycare center. Even after the teacher was advised that it was okay to open the diaper bag, she still never had the time to change our daughter. If for some reason Tuan threatens you for posting a negative review on yelp, keep in mind that you have the right to speak the TRUTH. My daughters have been coming to Sunrise Children's Center for almost a year and we love it. My 1yo started in the infant program, the teachers in that classroom are really loving and caring. I love how they keep the babies engaged with dancing, art and singing. My 5yo started in the tk classroom and has learned so much. I love the idea of her getting homework and I like sharing day on fridays. She is very advanced academically. We are so grateful to Mr. Tuan and his staff for creating such a caring environment for our girls! read more

Great first impression! Just moved from the Bay Area and was in desperate need of a daycare/pre-school for our twin girls. I was greeted by the owner Mr. Tuan who spoke well with experience. He hit the magic words and said, "We can potty train with high success rate!" "Our students that leave our center do excellent in the tests when entering kindergarten." This is new management that is about a year old now, and now their second location. Some of the staff have transferred with Mr. Tuan and now run this facility. Noticed: - The door was locked when I tried to enter - Instant smiles from all teachers - Security cams - Met Ms. Daisy, our toddler teacher, who is super warm and wonderful to talk to. - Lastly, can't beat the price for a quote. Being a new mom who is over protective it was very hard finding a place to care for my daughter. My mom was the only one I had watch her. I had my reservations and tried to put it off for as long as I possibly could, but didn't want to keep my daughter from learning early and interacting with other children. Being that she is an only child I wanted her to start to develop social skills as well as early development. After searching for days I finally decided to tour with Sunrise Children's Center. From the moment we walked in the door my daughter was comfortable. More comfortable than I was ready for lol, but it made me happy. She walked to the class she would be in as if she knew that's where she was supposed to go. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I loved that the teacher in the classroom was sitting on the floor with the kids to be at their level to play and interact with them. It's been 2 months since my daughter started and I'm happy that this is the childcare we chose. My daughter loves her teacher Miss Jen. She is very friendly and patient with the kids. She is always singing, doing projects and interacting with them. The other teachers are always welcoming when we walk in and are very informative. I love that they always take the time to talk to me about any concerns they may have and also to let me know how she is doing in class on a day to day basis. Mr Tuan and his staff are very friendly and helpful with any of my concerns and communicate with us on a daily basis. We are very happy with our decision. We drive from Rancho Cucamonga to bring her here instead of taking her somewhere closer to home because we love the care she's provided with. The staff here has been amazing Ms. Marilyn is such a sweetheart and you can definitely tell that she truly loves her job and cares for each and every child. Mr. Tuan has been nothing but professional and friendly always smiling and says hello each and every time I have seen him. Facility is always clean and my nieces and nephew who I am fostering and attend here are always excited to come to school. So, let me start by saying that I never actually enrolled my child in this daycare. This is review is purely based on my experience while searching for the right daycare. My first time visiting this daycare was about 1 year ago or so. During this time, I looked at about 8 different daycares and this one seemed "okay." However, I was told it was being bought over so the prices and policies would most likely change. In the end, I ended up going with a different daycare. However, about 5 months ago or so I was no longer happy with the daycare I went with (private message me if you want to know the name and my reasons why I left). So, I once again searched for and visited numerous daycares. Since Sunrise seemed ok the first time I visited, I decided to schedule an appointment to check it out again. I spoke with the owner on the phone and he seemed very nice and tried to talk me into visiting at a time outside of their nap time. However due to my personal schedule, I had to make it during nap time and he eventually agreed. I showed up to my appointment and no one was at the front. Once I finally got someone's attention, she had no knowledge of my appointment and she seemed hesitant to give me a tour. As I waited for her to give me a tour, another lady walked past me and said something along the lines of "ugh off to pick up more kids" and she exited out the front door and headed off to one of the daycare's vehicles. Needless to say, I found this comment to be very off putting. During the tour I was only allowed into 1 empty room due to it being nap time. The empty room was clean but there was a few toys that concerned me because they were very small and kids could easily choke on them. The lady was able to answer some of my questions but not all of them. In the end, I left feeling like my time was wasted. read more

Called this place a few weeks ago and told the person on the phone I was shopping around. I asked him what activities the toddlers do throughout the day and he said "you're only shopping around which means you only need the price over the phone. If you want to know the activities, come visit us for a tour". And so I drove to visit the facility. While in the parking lot I approached a mom carrying her daughter who was the same age as mine. I asked her what she thinks about this place. She said she's removing her daughter as soon as there's an opening at the other daycare. She said that if you go in for a tour, the owner will try to be extra nice to earn your business. Give it a few months and I too will be back to looking for a new one. read more

I was looking for a daycare that would work with my schedule I only needed care for my daughter 3 days a week. I found this daycare on yelp and booked a tour. My daughter is 2 and even though she's had a hard time adjusting (b/c she's never been in daycare before) her teacher is amazing and so helpful, the whole staff is very welcoming and nice. My daughter is not only well taken care of but she's learning to much, she comes home singing new songs and counting. This is a great daycare I'm happy with it. read more

I worked here in the past and it was a shocking and terrible experience. I was forced to work in a classroom without having all my core units that are required. I then was blamed for causing them to be charged with a penalty because I was forced to help in that classroom. I also saw a teacher forcing children to sleep in the older class. I saw how dirty they kept their diaper changing system, and floors were so black of how they didn't maintain it clean. I also saw the little one's class, which is on the right-hand side when you come in. The teacher there was Tuan's mother and she mistreated the toddlers; forcing them to be buckled in their seats while they ate, and even after. She would give one toddler's snack to the other just to say that the toddler finished it. The poor toddlers would be crying and she would sush them constantly. I felt so bad for them and kept trying to help them. I spoke to Tuan about it but he kept avoiding it. I would have posted on here when it happened, but I didn't really know about yelp. I saw them be pulled from their arm; the same in one of the older classes. I left disappointed after I resigned; I became so worried for the children that I reported them. read more

to start off i must say this is one of the most unprofessional, unorganized, unsafe place to have your children you love and care for. there is two amazing teachers/caretakers that did amazing with my nephews and they loved, but as soon as there time was to go and the time the afternoon aid( very unprofessional) and the owner! was left to care for them they would act up bc they didn't like being there cried even at times not want to go to daycare. the owner very rude disrespectful doesn't know how to speak to the parents, grandparents and aunt/uncle. he may think he has the upper hand bc he owns this place but be sure i'll be putting a complain against this facility specially the owner. prior to owning a facility that cares for humans specially small innocent children you may need to take courses how to handle and be professional in this environment read more

Awesome place for my baby! This school is safety, cleaning, good teachers, and great owners. The owner is very nice and kind, he deducted the tuition fee since my baby couldn't attend in school, due to her sick. The teachers take care of the baby very well, they always let me know about my baby situation when I come to pick her up, also the baby report I have everyday is helpful, it shows me the activity she gets per day. I am so glad I happen to just be driving by Sunrise one day and decided to call and make an appointment to go look at the school. Mr. Twan the owner was so helpful and so nice and you can tell he genuinely loves his job and the kids. My daughter had been with one of my best friends since she was 6 weeks old (now she is almost 3) and I was so scared of putting her just in any school. The first few days were tough as always but everyone there made it so nice for her and her transition. Mr. Twan personally greets us and my daughter daily and she loves that. My daughters teacher is Miss Deja and she absolutely adores her. We have only been there a month now and already I feel so at peace while working knowing my daughter is in good hands. Deja goes above and beyond her job and keeps me posted with how my daughter is doing throughout the day which I love!! The facility is clean and always smells good when we walk in. The security is great you have to enter a code to get in and also it takes a picture of you when logging your child in and out. We took our 2 oldest boys here before it was Sunrise Children's Center. We have actually been with this center through 3 different owners! But it is with this owner Mr. Tuan and his wife that we really see a positive difference!! The facility always smells clean and looks clean, always!! The teachers they have now are friendly and actually take the time to talk to you. And the owners are very visible, friendly and very easy to communicate with! A big and new change for us is the sign in and out app which we love! We can also pay our tuition through that app!!They no longer participate in the lunch program which means we have to send them with lunch or pay which is fine (pretty much what we do with our school age son anyways). My oldest son's first daycare was in Claremont and was like that so we are familiar with that. Besides, gives us a chance to actually monitor what our kids eat and have some bonding time with them in choosing the lunch together. They also started sending homework home which we really like because they are "teaching" rather than just "babysitting" only. My youngest child cant wait to start going soon! After going through 3 owners, this has to be the best one! I hope they stay for a long time! read more

This school provides very beautiful and comfortable environment to the little ones. My kid enjoy being at school and is learning a lot. I love how they give homework to little ones too. All the staff members and very friendly and always available for any type of clarification. My kid started going there in 12/2018 and he has already learned a lot. This school has provided our family with a very positive experience. Initially, we were hesitant with the new management because we knew changes would eventually take place. However, the changes have been encouraging and supportive for my kids. My child shares with me a lot of fun activities that is done in the classroom and things that are learned from helpful and friendly teachers and staff.
