I will always have a soft spot for Len Libby. I grew up visiting every summer during our annual…read morefamily vacation and now I come as much for nostalgia as I do to satisfy my sweet tooth. This is a huge shop right off Rt 1 with a ton of candies, fudge, ice cream, and other treats as well as great souvenirs (mugs, puzzles, knickknacks). And of course the 1,700 lb chocolate moose! On my most recent trip, I tried some tasty bangor taffy and lemon zest bark samples. I usually get a few truffles and chocolate covered marshmallows. Whatever the variety, it always hits the spot. Staff is pleasant and friendly every time, and the pricepoint is fair. I won't even pretend to be unbiased, but if you've been to Scarborough and haven't stopped by Len Libby yet, you are missing out! @azfitfoodfun

I will admit, the candies were not the first thing that brought us here. We were on our way to…read morePortland and stopped at the visitor center just over the state line. It was a bit of a day trip, so we decided to see if there was anything interesting we could do in the area. This being October, there were a lot of things that were closed for the season, but when I saw the Len and Libby's candies brochure that advertised a life-size chocolate moose, we decided we had to go there. They were not kidding, there is a life-sized moose made completely of milk chocolate, and also a life-sized mama bear with two cubs made out of dark chocolate. That alone was worth the trip, but the chocolates were delicious, and they also had a blueberry jam that my husband especially liked. The staff were efficient and friendly, and the store was clean and well lit. The novelty of the chocolate moose was, alone, worth a visit.

Went here yesterday and purchased 6 pieces of something. I cant remember the names of the items we…read moreordered because each of the items had 9 descriptive words but they were something like: 2 Raspberry truffle drops with smooth goulash and creme berry delight with butterfly wishes 2 Lemon tasty unicorn bites with ferry dust chocolate and a twist of magic yummy swirl 2 Caramel shiny wax nibbles I thought the first two were mid to low honestly. No fireworks, no dopamine, but ok. My wife hated her caramel things and described one as tasting like plastic. I ate the other and agree, it tasted like a salted plastic farts. My real issue was the price. Those six items, were $29. I know what inflation is but I also know what value is and if they were amazing, I would be fine with the price. They were not. They were somewhere between Ok and horrible so the $30 price was bonkers. I left the mall feeling like I had spent $30 on a claw machine and the only prize dropped was a dirty sock. Flavor and price aside, at least the staff were nice and professional for all 30 of the seconds I was there, which I appreciate because I lost $1 per second during my visit. Do not recommend. You can find better sweets elsewhere in the mall for less.

If you are a fan of candy - you will want to browse around this store, which is what we did…read more They have so much variety. Throw back type candies, international candies, pre-packaged, scoop. It's a brightly lit store, and pretty well stocked. The prices were ok - I definitely feel like there are other dedicated candy stores with more competitive pricing. The person at the cash register seemed pleasant to the customers being served. The other staff members didn't seem to acknowledge anyone. They were very intense with heads down stocking shelves. It's worth a look.
